    A very nice restaurant. My husband and I shared an oyster on the half shell and pork belly appetizer. Both had excellent flavor. My scallops were delicious along with my husband's fish. His dish had a beef stuffed ravioli which was completely unnecessary and did nothing to add to the dish. We had a drink at the bar before going to the table and my only complaint was the kitchen was very bright behind the bar to look into and the staff were all standing talking about personnel decisions within listening distance.

    Another amazing dining experience at Davis Street! We were there for Thanksgiving and the price fixe options were more numerous and varied than other menues we considered. My husband went for the traditional turkey with the fixings and I had the duck and both were delish. I am not a fan of overly sweetened sweet potatoes so I asked to change to the veggies and this was not an issue. The ambiance was upbeat but hushed, the service was impeccable (Thanks Elias) and the wine list supurb.

    We love Davis Street. The food is delicious whether you are indulging or are sticking to your dietary restrictions. The chef and staff take care of you. Jaz remembered what foods I could and couldn’t eat from a previous dinner there. Amazing. I have recommended Davis Street to many of our friends.

    We were totally happy with our first experience at this restaurant. The menu was very creative and every item was beautifully prepared. everything was totally delicious. There was a very extensive wine list. The service was superb. We will go again.

    Davis Street is our spot. No matter what we have on the menu, what day of the week we go or what time of day we go, the food, service and experience are impeccable, consistently. I love it here!

    This location is absolutely stunning! The music leading up to the eatery was incredibly relaxing, and the service, atmosphere, and cuisine are truly exceptional. I had a professional meeting during the Happy Hour, and I opted for the bartender's specialty cocktail (created by Edgar), Raw Clams, Black Angus Beef Sliders, and the Peri Peri Dusted Cornish Hen. A 3rd Ward Gem, you must give them a try.

    As a visitor to Houston from Australia I felt very welcome at Davis St The service was great, staff were very friendly and I didn’t feel like an idiot asking questions about the menu or wine list (thanks Kevin!) Highly recommended for a great evening meal - the Muddled Stew was outstanding

    This is a go to for me and my experience is always great. The food is top notch. I've never had a bad dish here. This was the first time I've had a service issue so I'm going to chalk it up to a lot of new staff. However, it was pretty bad on this night. The overall experience was still good. The staff seemed to work a bit harder toward the end of our dinner to make up for what was obviously subpar service. So because of this I will remain a regular.

    Wonderful food and service. The meals are Southern with a twist. For example it’s Cornish hens with waffles. If you go for brunch you must have the biscuits.

    Went for Sunday brunch. Excellent service and food. I had cornish hen and waffles, other guests had lamb plate, steak plate, and shrimp and grits. Least favorite was shrimp and grits because this person liked their grits smooth and not grainy. Otherwise, everything was very tasty and good atmosphere with a view. Would highly recommend for special occasions.

    I have dined at Davis St. a few times but Houston Restaurant Weeks allowed me the chance to finally try their brunch menu. One of the reasons I frequently return is for the ambiance and incredible service I always receive at Davis St., and brunch service was just as impressive and solid. I took advantage of their homemade biscuits, the eggs Benedict - the side of collards with pickled red onion was absolutely AMAZING - and their coconut cake. The food was A1, and it was my first time taking a friend there and she was thoroughly impressed, also. I highly recommend Davis St. as one of the very best overall dining experiences in the city.

    Spectacular first time here. Food (HRW menu) was delicious and beautifully presented. The highlight was the great service all around - but special shout-out to our server Edgar. Highly professional and friendly. Will be back soon.

    It was mostly good, but our server did mistake the cards and put incorrect values on each one and made it difficult to fix. We resolved it amongst the party, but it was uncomfortable and left us on a sour note.

    Four of us came for Sunday brunch during HRW. Amazing food, great service, and reasonably priced! The drinks were fabulous—Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s; the appetizers were delish; I do not think I’ve had better broiled oysters anywhere! The other three said the Korean beef wraps were delicious. The biscuits were buttery and delicious. We had Southern Benedict, French toast and Migas. My husband wasn’t crazy about his Migas, but the Southern Benedict’s and French Toast were fabulous. We all ordered the coconut cake and the chocolate dessert. I am not a chocolate fan, but I tried my husband’s, and it was amazing. I was too full for my dessert and brought it home. I just ate my coconut cake for lunch. The BEST coconut cake I’ve ever had; it is to die for!! I look forward to many more fabulous meals here!!!

    From walking up to restaurant and hearing the music to being greeted at the entrance was already such a warm and exciting feeling .Every dish and drink that my friend and I order was so full a smells and flavor.     Food was delicious. Started with an off menu fresh strawberry lemonade, Ultimate French Toast, and Eggs Benedict. Finished with key lime cheesecake and the Mud Pie Parfait. Well plated. Amazing flavors. Nice ambiance with well dressed crowd and waitstaff. However, Service was a bit slow. More than 90 minutes for brunch for two.

    We had a table of 8 to enjoy the HRW brunch . It was a lively and buzzy scene with attentive, welcoming service. Food was excellent all around. I can recommend chargrilled oysters, Korean beef wraps, fried chicken (a big bird!) and waffles. Baking, in particular, is their strong suit. Do not bypass the plate of biscuits and jam, which will transport you to a happy place (cue the scene from Ratatouille where the restaurant critic has a Proustian flashback to the warmth of his mother's embrace after tasting the titular dish. The coconut cake is Out.Of. Bounds. We had already heard wonderful things about Davis Street, and now, we can attest to its excellence. Thank you for memorable dining experience!
