This was a great celebratory lunch place last time, and we hoped to repeat the experience. Unfortunately, the lunch menu has been abbreviated significantly, and we had a hard time finding a good selection of hot entrées. It was a cold and blustery day, so this mattered more to us than it might have another time. It also meant that sitting in the parklet in the street was not a welcoming option, because it was a wind tunnel. The ambience indoors was lovely, and our server was kind and patient, so the limited lunch menu was the disappointment that resulted in this rating.

One of my favorite seafood spots. Can be pricey depending on what you get, but honestly, compared to other spots, I find it on the affordable side. Not the biggest menu, but a little bit of something for everyone. I love the decor of the place. Fantastic service as well. Will be back

Really lovely meal on the patio, great service and ambience. The fried calamari are the best I've had anywhere. And the french press de-caf coffee and creme brûlée were a great ending to a perfect dinner. Excellent waitress and everything came quickly, which was appreciated as we were on our way to a show.

Dinner was delicious! The oysters were high quality and fresh. The lobster roll, clam chowder, Caesar salad, fish tacos were all wonderful. The only sour note was dessert - apple upside down cake. It was so dry that each bite turned into crumbs. After a rich dinner, a refreshing key lime pie or lemon curd tart would have been much better. The teamwork-oriented service was excellent, and the cost was reasonable for the amount of food we ate and leftovers brought home for tomorrow.

Good option for lunch in Harvard Square. Impressive selection of oysters and good, if limited, menu otherwise. Outdoor seating is pleasant, but because the restaurant is squeezed into a crowded and unremarkable thoroughfare, not ideal for out-of-town guests. Best used as casual standby for locals. Wish the restaurant would do away with the Covid-era lack of menus. My phone was dead and I couldn't get the menu.

The food at The Hourly is consistently good, but what really elevates the experience is the service. The whole crew is top-notch, so I’ll just mention Caroline, Carolen, Jon, Allison, Jacob and Emily as examples of the friendly and attentive reception that diners enjoy.

We had a lovely late lunch at the Hourly Oyster House. The servers were informative and attentive, and the vibe was also a nice level of laid-back. The food was outstanding. The location was ideal for showing off New England's oysters:) and resting with visitors from out of town after visiting the Harvard campus.

We ate outside, which was quieter. Service was exceptional. Food was overall good. Oysters and mignonette was the best. Halibut was a tiny bit over cooked and not loving the thrown on tinned artichokes and kalamats olive preparation. Will be back for more oysters for sure.

Really loved our meal, had great servers, and enjoyed all of our food and drinks. I will say I was disappointed because I mentioned to the host, and the server, and made a note in my reservation that I had a birthday at the table and asked if we could get a dessert with a candle, and was told yes but never received one. Beyond that everything else was very nice but I would hope next time that there would be follow through without having to ask multiple times/people

We sat outside in a modified courtyard, so it was very pleasant. The food was excellent. The service was a bit slower, perhaps because the courtyard location is farther from the regular dining room?

Service weak at best. We sat outside had to keep asking for server. It was like they forgot about us. Oysters just ok. They gave us a card with the description for the oysters. The menu described 14 oysters we got 16 oysters that didn't match the description. When we were finished we told them and we were told they gave us the wrong menu and that it was changed that day. Never came to the table to ask us if we wanted another cocktail. Not going back! And don't think they care!
