This review is semi-pointless but I'll do it anyway. The restaurant apparently closed on 4/30/18, the day after we were there. Service was slow, the coffee and hot chocolate were so poor they had to be sent back, one order was not correct. The food overall was good but the experience left a lot to be desired. We'd never go back even if it remained open.

My favorite salad: baby spinach with cranberries and toasted pecan, served with balsamic vinaigrette. Wonderful friendly service.

Luques was closed when I arrived. The bartender was completely dismissive - did not offer me a table, did not apologize. She passed the buck and blamed Open Table, saying "Those folks screw it up all the time." So, I went elsewhere to eat.

Great place for lunch when working/shopping around Union Square. We were there for lunch and surprisingly the restaurant was not busy. Good variety of food on the menu and great service. Good value for the price. We will return.

It was nice that you could make reservations for breakfast. They were out of their sour dough pancakes, don't quite understand why, and their Belgium waffle machine was broke, both what we wanted to order. Their menu is limited so to have 2 main items not available was disappointing. What we ended up ordering was very good though. Not much ambiance. Very small dining area, close tables, not much to speak of, just a small little plain room. Not sure we would go back unless we actually stayed at the hotel.

Restaurant was very cold, pancakes were thin and lackluster. Salmon benedict was overly salty. Food got cold quickly due to cold air blowing down. Very disappointing. Will not return.

Great brunch place - had eggs Benedict with lox and home fries - delicious. Poached eggs were done perfectly (nothing annoys me more that overcooked poached eggs). Very generous portions and good coffee. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. Good value for our money - especially since everywhere else in downtown SF costs over-the-top.
