Disappointed in our meal. Had the recommended crab roll which was one-dimensional with too many sauces. The addition of some cucumber sticks would add some much needed crunch/texture. The “just like a Big Mac!” explanation from the server about the mushroom burger seemed a little off, but I ordered it anyway. Again, the lack of textures was a turn-off, and the flavor of the burger didn’t push through the buns and toppings. The bison burger wasn’t anything special. Ended on a high note with the the blueberry cheesecake. The seed granola “crust” made it.

Don't let the small storefront fool you. The get is tucked away not he main street in Sarasota and is worth exploring. There are other restaurants on this street but Lila's is worth the hour drive I made from St Pete. I wish we had one here. They do have sustainably managed meat and fish available, I went for the vegan options. What first appears like a storefront on the main street, opens up into an expansive space,. It is esthetically pleasing, simple and elegant. Open AC ductwork and the ceilings naturally made with wood, give you a warm but clean and welcomed feeling. You know the food will be prepared and presented the same, and it is. We were greeted by a lovely young lady, I didn't get her name, seated and given menus and told that Shane would be our server. Shane greeted us and offered menu suggestions, bot of them knew the menu well. We took the suggestions and I am still dreaming about the mushroom burger! I like fabulous food, with a lot of flavor, well prepared... Lula offers that... the in house prepared mushroom burger with the in-house prepared pickles is a completely tart bud captivating experience! I will drive to get this burger more often. And, according to their team, people do. I cannot say enough good things about this experience... If your taste buds prefer higher quality experiences - Lila, is definitely the place.

I got the bison burger, which was yummy (I would return for this in particular). My wife got the filet, which was good, with a little bit of hard fat cap (one or two bites). We enjoyed sharing one of the vegan sushi rolls, which was different and fun. The downside was the filet sides were relatively small, as was the dessert. Overall, my wife and I felt the price was a bit high for the experience.

I was having dinner with my husband and 3 friends. When I initially told my husband he was not thrilled-vegan, vegetarian and a fish or bison burger. My friends are vegetarians so ok. By the time we finished my husband was delighted and said "I can't wait to eat here again-the flavors, the bread!!! Flavors indeed! I had a South American salmon on a bed of spinach with a lovely sauce. The GF,V bread and butter were outstanding. My husband and one friend had bison burgers they loved and the other 2 each had a bowl. Apparently the tofu was really good. And I had a delightful glass of Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa. The service was really good and it was a fine meal.

Delicious, well made food and calm atmosphere. We loved the guacamole and Brussel sprouts were great starters. I almost couldn’t finish the generous double decker mushroom burger. The falafel was to die for, so moist and flavorful.
