Blanca serves tasting menus Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 6pm and 9pm, and Saturday at 5pm and 8pm. The cost is $195 per person, not including tax or gratuity.
Was more of a life-time experience than a meal. It's not just about the food but the total package - ambiance, music, service, etc. I would definitely go back after my bonus next year.
More than lived up to the expectation. Overall excellent and highly recommended.
The online caveat/downside was the quite significant initial wait time at Roberta's very crowded bar before being let to the restaurant.
Great as always, delicious, we’ll be back again soon.
Food was great and very well done. Most of the waitstaff were very knowledgeable and friendly which made it a somewhat nice experience. It's unfortunate that we ended up leaving with such a bad taste in our mouths -- for whatever reason, the somm didn't appreciate us asking about the wine she was serving (from the wine pairing) and gave us a very long, drawn out lecture about "what it means to be a two-star restaurant". Talk about inappropriate (not to mention awkward).
Overall an incredible meal, worthy of very special occasions. Food was creative, generous and delightful - several of 19+ courses were just mind blowing in best possible way. Flavors ran the gamut from wtf experimental to comfort food: a mid-way course of soup, pizza crust & butter just made me grin. Wine pairings, including beer and sake as well, were unique and all worked exceptionally well. Staff were wonderful - hip and easygoing and carefully mindful. Seating facing the kitchen enhanced the meal for me personally, smelling everything and watching the back & forth as food was prepared.
For the reasonable-but-still-high cost and limited reservations, I had high expectations - they were exceeded in many ways. Up there in the top echelon of dining in nyc.
Thoroughly loved this place. First time there. We had several of their special daily small plates. Scallops were delicious. Their house sangria was great. Nicely decorated, casual, dark, sophisticated.
Went for my birthday and it was amazing! Ambiance, music, friendly staff with incredibly personal sommeliers and chefs. Tasting menu with only 12 seats in the whole place. Intimate yet fun! Will be back!!
Great experience though not sure it was quite worth the massive cost. The tasting menu was incredible, the wine pairing very interesting, the staff and location a lot of fun. Could have been a little easier on the wallet.
Food, wine pairing, atmosphere, service all excellent. Amazing experience.
Just wanna say Perfect!
Awesome experience .. will return again and again
Amazing experience for our second anniversary! The food was out of this world and the staff was fantastic. Couldn't have been better!
Excellent! Would come back again
The entrance, the seating, the experience, menu, pairing ‘wines’, those fun and welcoming staff, personal approach... wow! Blanca: you’re doing something very unique and special over there in Bushwick. And you have let us experience that eating at a 2 star Michelin restaurant can be informal sexy and hipster cool. Till we meet again!
This was my first tasting menu and it lived up to the hype. The food was incredibly creative and fabulous. From the first bite to the last, I was impressed. It was also entertaining. Other than the food, you watch the preparation in a wide-open, intimate kitchen, and are served delicious wines that pair perfectly. It's pricey but worth it.
That was the best dinner we have had on the East Coast of America. Right up there with Saison in San Francisco and Guy Savoy in Paris. Everything was excellent. Outstanding!
I have eaten in 3 Michelin star restaurants before and my dining experience at Blanca blew all of them out of the water. The meals were well executed and the wine pairing complimented the dishes. Staff was extremely attentive and went out of their way to make the whole experience an unforgettable one. This place deserves its 3rd star.
Amazing food and service. Best bread course in NY!
This is one of the most amazing meals you will ever have, and you will have a blast with the wait staff while doing so.
Do not hesitate, make a reservation today and undertake the pilgrimage to Blanca!
We traveled from D.C just for this experience. It was well worth the time. Every course was exceptional and very well executed. The pairings were also lovely. I look forward to my next visit shortly.
Food, was memorable and new. Dessert leaned towards savory. All components of fine dining without the decorum.
An absolutely amazing fine dining experience in an setting that oozes character. One of the most extraordinary restaurants in the world.
Amazing food great wine courteous service
Will definitely come back and bring friends
Amazing and unique tasting menu. Very cool ambiance and great service. The wine pairing is definitely worth it as it really enhanced the quality of every food item. The only bad thing about this place is that each item is only 2-3 bites worth; I wanted a whole plate of each thing it was so good
Unbelievably special experience.
Amazing meal. Long procession of courses. A couple I didn't love so much but overall excellent. Portion size was perfect. Sometimes I get to a point on tasting menus where I'm screaming for mercy, but not here. Balanced, nuanced, yummy. And expensive but worth it for a special night. Wine pairings were well thought out. Super service. Loved it.
eating out can't get better. Blanca is sublime.
this is truly eating art
Most impactful dining experience of the year. Experimental but not bizarre. 12 diners focused on the chefs and their creations. Incredible overall but can’t stop thinking about that bread and butter course.
The chefs working here are really top notch. Very innovative food served in a chill atmosphere. Everyone sits at the counter facing the kitchen; so all seating is equal. Each course was unique and, most importantly, very yummy. Other reviewers have compared it to French Laundry (FL). Not really comparable as these are two completely different dining experiences. That said, the food is just as innovative as FL, but with more appropriate portion sizes for this many courses. The offered wine pairing wasn't great. The wines were very nice on their own, but we struggled to understand the tie between most wines to the dishes. The only other negative of the night was the final course: a dessert with celery. Horrible! I've had this at another restaurant and it didn't work there either. I appreciate stretching the boundaries, but this was a complete flop. Perhaps it would work as a sorbet between vegetable and meat course, but not as a dessert. Finally, the service was very well executed, polite, and fun; they function like a 5 star restaurant, but in a very relaxed environment. If you're looking for a very unique culinary experience and can afford it, I definitely recommend Blanca.
Great dish and experience, highly recommend
It was such a wonderful experience! Food was delish (obviously since it is a Michelin restaurant). What I love most about the restaurant is that it is so different from any other Michelin restaurant I've been to. Usually they are super stuffy and prim and proper but this seemed to have a more relaxed and casual atmosphere which I thoroughly enjoyed. The meal was great for a tasting menu too since my boyfriend and I left without feeling hungry which we usually do after a tasting menu at Michelin star restaurants (usually their portions are so tiny!) I loved the variety of meat and seafood dishes. Great desserts too and the little goody bag which details the different dishes of the meal we had along with their homemade chocolate bar. I also mentioned that my boyfriend and I were there to celebrate our anniversary and they had a little card for us which was nice. Some of the other guests were celebrating their birthdays and the restaurant had noted that as well. That's good service (along with the fact that they were always on top of folding your napkin and getting your seat for you whenever you got up to use the restroom). Also, the setting is very intimate as it's all bar seating for 12 people max I believe. I loved this because it felt like I was sitting at a Chef's Table since it was an open kitchen and we could watch the chef and his team prepare everything for us. Also, it felt very cool and speakeasy type because it's in the back of Roberta's pizza and you would never guess that there is a separate restaurant behind the bustling pizza joint. Overall, a great evening and definitely a must-try!
Blanca was fantastic. Every dish was delicious and I couldn't have had a better time.
Great service. Got lost finding it. Felt special I was entering a secret location. Food went 19 courses more than I expected. Soooo amending. Did I say it was amazing? David has the music on point.
Loved the experience. I'm a really great home cook, but this was the work of a great, innovative chef. (Or chefs) Wonderful, friendly and unpretentious service.
An amazing experience! We love the tasting menu, the place is minimalistic and very cool. They let you chose the records!!
We are happy about the whole night
Both the food and service at Blanca exceeded expectations! I strongly suggest splurging on the wine pairing for a completely satisfying accompaniment to your meal. I could not have asked for a more creative menu and welcoming atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back !!
