   The food was delicious and inventive! Drinks that my husband had was week received and the non alcoholic wine I had as offered was amazing. Unfortunately our server came by after our apps came out took a drink order and never came back. Not with the drink or to check on us for dessert (birthday dinner :(( ) or to offer us a check. Outside of this we had a nice time.

   This was a double date with some of our favorite friends — I picked Hearth because it had ample gluten free options (my husband has celiac) and some vegan options (me!). Everyone in our party was absolutely blown away by how good the food was. We got the field lettuces, beets appetizer, garlic bread — the boys got the meatballs and my friend and I both got the pizzocheri pasta (mine without cheese and butter), and we were all SO happy with our choices. The waiters and hosts were so kind and we ended up staying there for over two and a half hours… it was such a good vibe and we will most definitely be back!

   The food is great - the garlic bread is out of the world and we order extra to take home bc it’s so good with eggs the next morning. But the portions are small and while it’s nice not to feel rushed by the servers, it’s hard to get their attention when you need something.

   A perfectly adequate meal was marred by inattentive and sullen staff. We walked into the restaurant shortly before 6 pm, and except for two or three tables the room was empty, and yet we had to wait almost twenty minutes before the waiter came to our table. When they came, their demeanor was suitable for a funeral. We ordered food, which was swiftly delivered to another table that had just arrived. We pointed out the mistake, and then had to wait another twenty minutes before we were served. We then ordered a second round of drinks, and when they arrived the waiter walked away leaving the empty glasses on the table. The service was shockingly, shockingly bad.

   Server got appetizer and entree wrong, didn’t even apologize. They’re giving smaller portions at higher prices, hard to justify $24 for 3 meatballs and no sides at this point.

    From my arrival I was warmly welcomed, spiced with humor and wit. Once the meal began, I was clearly informed by the dearly thoughtful manager, and our infectious energetic waiter. I hadn't been in a very long time, and in the best possible way,it wasthe 'same as it ever was' in terms of quality, not being afraid of Flavor, dedication to ingredients and seasonality, sensitive to nose/beak-to-tail/fin/claw cooking, straightforward presentations that are aesthetically pleasing without being science projects, and at their core dedicated to deliciousness. Having eaten there numerous times when Paul Greco ran the beverage program,his legacy, or tutelage is present in the variety, nuance and depth to the choices. I loved my Chalone [I hadn't had it since I finished bottles I had bought for myself]....and I was glad to meet the Slovenian Refosk too! The crudo scallops, cured anchovies, the braised rabbit leg, the maccaroni with pork ragout, the poached cod belly-putanesca, smoky fo' days braised greens, sublime panna cotta, and delicate crumb on the olive oil cake. We were super happy campers...and left feeling sated, content and not stuffed. P.S. thanks for the Amaro!

    My family and I had a wonderful evening last night. From the moment we entered for our 6p reservation, we were treated with courtesy. Our server, Jefferson was outstanding. He was knowledgeable and very helpful re: food options . In addition he is a very interesting person. I've always loved Hearth and will continue to partake of your excellent meals! Thank you

    Awesome meal. This is the cleanest restaurant I know: they only use clean ingredients (no crappy processed oils, no animal coming from a feed lot..) and you can feel it after the meal as it goes down really easy. My favorites here are : lettuces salad (very flavorful seasoning), bean soup (really more like a thick stew with awesome flavor and comfort), chicken (please don't order the whole chicken for 2; it feeds 4 people very easily). The meatballs are great and so us the rabbit. My only problem is with the carb options: it's basically either French fries or polenta that is very very heavy on the fat. I have nothing against fat but when the carb is filled with fat it's hard to eat a good amount of it and personally I need a good amount of carbs in my meal to digest well and feel satisfied. They do have a sweet potato but it's a very small portion of potato especially for the price. But anyways great spot.

    I have never ever ever been disappointed with a meal at Hearth!! Last night was another great meal. I checked out the new decor which kinda looked like the old decor but its all about the food. We were 6 coworkers and we put ourselves in our servers hands. Jefferson was fabulous and knocked it out of the park. Planning my return!!!

    Love Hearth’s out of the ordinary assortment of brunch offerings, keeping to their overall vibe. The pastry board was great, and the saucy eggs offered their spin on sushuska. Farmer’s plate provided perfectly cooked bacon and fluffy eggs. Hearth is our go-to in the neighborhood for food and their always interesting wine.

    Hearth is one of my favorite restaurants in Manhatten. Historically the food has always met and exceeded expectations. I love the ambiance and the general vibe of the wait staff. Last night we had a server named Kevin who I found to be rude, dismissive and full of unwanted attitude. When I return to Hearth ( which I hope will be soon) I will make sure to NOT be seated at his table . Aside from that unpleasant interaction- I truly appreciate Hearth and the dedication to delicious and “real”l food.
