    Went for an engagement celebration, the server only came by to take an order and once asked how everything was. Didn’t care to read the reservation or ask us how we were. I don’t even think I knew his name. The food was good but the place was loud and service wasn’t the best. Was hoping for a special dinner

    First time at Revel. Saw the chef interviewed on PTL and went specifically for his Valentine's Day price fix $110/pp dinner. Food was very good - poached lobster, strawberry bruschetta, scallops, filet and chocolate lovers delight for desert. The total experience did not come close to expectations for a $300+ dinner for two (wine tax and tip). The room is industrial with cement floors and no table cloths. In the middle of the restaurant/bar was a dance floor with an extremely loud DJ (this is at 6:30!). Had trouble speaking with the server and conversing with my wife. Couldn’t wait to get out of the restaurant so we took our desert home. Could have been a very nice dinner in the right environment.

    Our service was brutally slow. The server Didn’t seem to know what was going on at the restaurant. Had very poor customer service skills. Food is decent but over priced. Asked to speak to the manager and he didn’t come speak to us.

    We had a wonderful pre-show dinner at Revel. This is our 4th time visiting, 2nd for dinner. Jamala was a wonderful server. Our cocktails were good and food was good and plentiful. We had the cider vinegar pork chop with sweet potato hash—delicious. The swordfish was good but not as good. We also split a wedge salad which was huge and delicious. There was a nice crowd so it was a fun vibe. Highly recommend.

    Very ok restaurant experience. I probably won’t be back. The servers seemed very understaffed, which is totally not their fault. My Revel salad was wet with too much dressing, so if you get a salad, ask for the dressing on the side. It took a really long time for our drinks and food to arrive. Overall, the ambience was chill, but I don’t foresee this restaurant ever being at the top of anyone’s list for dining in Pittsburgh.

    Not a good experience. Food was as expensive as a Hugh end restaurant, yet Applebees could have cooked it better. Unorganized servers and management. I could go on and on

    The food looked great from the pictures, but it was very disappointing. Chicken was dry and the pasta was not flavorful. Took the waiter about 10 minutes to come to our table before we could order. The place seemed understaffed, so it seemed like he was doing the best he could with being overwhelmed. We were going to order dessert after our meal was finished but the waiter took over 15 minutes to come back after clearing our plates. We had somewhere else to be and it wouldn’t have left time to wait for it to be made, eat it, pay, and go. We like the atmosphere but the overall food and service was lacking and we will not be coming back to this restaurant.

    Disappointed. Food was good but the waiter was inattentive. Multiple beers listed on their electronic menu not in stock (I gave up after 3 tries). Same story on desserts.

    We stopped here for NYE after the hockey game. It was nice in there but it was evident the servers had a long day as they were all rushing to get out to celebrate. The large glass water bottles were not washed. They were simply refilled and put away for the next days use. Even if there was water still in them from the prior customers. We went for breakfast the next morning and the glasses were dirty. The servers were excellent. The bar tenders even better. The food was ok. Nothing spectacular. But I wouldn’t eat here again, at least not during a major holiday. Just appeared dirty and not cleaned up well. Also ceiling was leaking water on NYE and then while we were at breakfast some of the ceiling fell onto the bar and bar stools. Just not impressed with the venue itself but the servers were very nice. I realize they were exhausted however cleaning the water bottles and the dishes and the place itself left something to be desired.

    My wife and I came here for New Years Eve dinner - complete disaster. Arrived 10 minutes early so we went to the bar for a drink. Bartenders completely ignored us for 10 minutes. We got seated and waited another 10 minutes before any type of service. Waitress was amazing - very friendly and transparent - she warned us service was backed up, so she suggested we order drinks and food quick. We were at restaurant for 30 minutes before our first drinks arrived. It was a set menu: appetizers were really good, salads were average. We then waited over an hour for our main course. I had gnocci, my wife had halibut - both were fine. Took awhile for our desserts to arrive (of course) - and they were both unique and flavorful. Our waitress requested her supervisor come to our table because she knew the service was bad. He came over and covered our meals (which avoided a conflict, because I was not going to pay). I realize it is New Years, and they were busy. However - this place was not that crowded (maybe 75% full). It was a set menu - so not sure how the kitchen was that backed up. They only had 2 bartenders working. In summary: worst service I ever had for a dining experience. Food was pretty good overall. Waitress was amazing - if not for her, it could have been 10 times as bad. Credit to the manager for covering our meal - it was appreciated.

    We thought our waiter was fantastic, very honest about the wait for food as it was a new menu. The food was spectacular- the filet was perfect, the sides were exceptional. However- the hostess was awful. Seriously, terrible. She mumbled and then sat us right next to the VERY HOT kitchen. We asked to not sit there as there were 4 other low top tables and she told us “those people made reservations “. I told her WE made reservations but apparently, they weren’t the right reservations??? I am 53 years old, 5’2” with spine issues and she sat us at a high top table right near the kitchen. The heat was unreal and the people at the bar kept knocking into us. If our waiter wasn’t great and the food wasn’t good, we would have left. You all have a good thing going, get rid of people that can’t be good to customers. I bet if we would have been younger, we would have been seated better. Yes, we saw that.

    When we arrived for our reservation, the manager informed us that the people sitting at the table reserved for us were overstaying their welcome. He offered to sit us at the bar with 50% off. With this being a NYE menu, we jumped on the offer. The poor bartenders were so busy but so professional about it. The food and drinks were perfect and since most people were getting complicated cocktails, sitting at the bar was very entertaining.

    Overall, I was disappointed. The four course meal was good, but the server did not space out the courses well. There also was a leak from the ceiling that constantly dropped on the table/floor next to us. Being that this meal for two was over $200 dollars, I expected more.

    Food was incredible. I had the shrimp and gnocchi and was blown away. They also had some really good live music. Honestly should have been more people in the place but with it being a holiday weekend maybe it was just an off night. Would highly recommend!

    Food was very good. Service was incredibly slow and there were only a handful of customers. It was also after 1p so past the major lunch rush.

    Such a wonderful place to meet, right at market Square! My husband is gluten-free, and they’re always very accommodating. He had the pork chop, which was perfectly cooked, and the bacon jam was to die for! I had the Revel salad, which was also delicious.

    I dined here with a group of girlfriends for the first time. We order the cauliflower app and we aren't sure if it wasn't fully cooked or what, but it seemed on the raw side. Additionally we waited a considerable amount of time for our drinks. When we got our entrees mine was lukewarm. The gnocchi and shrimp was good but would have been better hot. Especially for the price. My friend who is pregnant ordered a chicken salad and a few pieces of chicken were not fully cooked. Our server was sweet but seemed very overwhelmed. We didn't want to complain because we know what a hard time people have finding workers. Ultimately the restaurant was decorated very nicely for Christmas but was just okay. For the location there are plenty of other restaurants we probably would have preferred at that price-point.

    We had an incredible experience at Revel last night. Highly recommend it. Loved the restaurant and bar vibe, dinner was delicious, Giggles the server, and Matthew at the reception desk were extremely gracious. A great downtown experience right next to Market Square!
