Paid prime dollar for a great stake and received a stringy dry piece of meat. There was four of us and we spent over $500.00...... Needless to say we were VERY disappointed
The steak I ordered was delicious, tender and appropriate for the size ordered. My friend’s salmon was literally four bites and prepared no better than many dining establishments we have visited. The prices seemed excessive. The Bananas Foster for dessert, however, was absolutely perfect! Unfortunately, our booth was right in front of the tableside carts so very distracting and not as relaxing as we had hoped.
Everything considered I do not expect to visit again.
Food was OK but not great especially for the price. Wife had Salmon and I had Ribeye. Salmon portion was small and they tried too hard to be fancy as the overall appeal and presentation of the dish was lacking. The Ribeye was cooked properly but the baked potato was over cooked and it was served without any fixings and had to wait for a good while to get them which made the potato cold. The Cesar salad was lacking flavor. Overall the meal was OK but we left thinking it should have been better.
Food prepared tableside (shrimp scampi, Baked Alaska) was good, but iceberg in wedge salad was not fresh and crab cakes were dense. Smokey casino on the way in and out interfered with ambiance. Service was great.
Henry our server kept me smiling and laughing. He’s very entertaining. Food was very tasteful.
The waiter treated us like we were in the wrong place. I visit nice restaurants all over the US.
I ask what came with the salmon. Instead of answering the question he said exactly what’s in the menu. A good waiter would have explained then ask if that was ok and if it wasn’t make a Suggestion
It took forever to get our dinner for unknown reason.
Great place for good food and service
The food was great. We shared the tomahawk steak and ordered an extra side to share, but for 2 it was still too much food for us. Corey our server took great care of us, including carving the steak in front of us. Everything we ordered we enjoyed: cocktails, wine, salad, steak and the PB and Chocolate baked Alaska. There was even a wonderful piano player playing some nice ambient music.
The food in general was very good however my New York steak for the price I didn’t find good value, there was a lot of fat on the end of the steak that was inedible also it was not very tender for an $80 steak. I have had better cuts of meat for Half of that price or less. The other people I went with cuts of meat were far superior to mine.
We were excited to try this place since we were in town for a concert. Our recent trip to Ringside in Portland probably made us too biased as that experience blew this place away.
I have no complaints about my small filet, however the asparagus side was not up to
par and the bearnaise sauce was cold and bland.
My husband, up on receiving the NY Strip, immediately wished he had gotten the large filet. His potato was gigantic.
Service was ok, brought the wrong beer order twice and we gave up after that. We asked for Corona Light. first she brought Coors Light and told us we ordered that....um my husband does not drink Coors Light. Then she brought a regular Corona. Closer.
We wanted to celebrate our anniversary at Vista as we did last year but we’re dissapointed to find out they weren’t offering their Fixed Price menu as they advertised for Wednesday and Thursday! Since we were obviously disappointed ( wanted the scallops), our waiter ( Andrew) spoke with the chef and he offered the special menu for us and, in fact, came up with a special twist on the usual scallop dish adorning 6 giant scallops with roasted Brussels sprouts and a delicious cream sauce with savory bits of bacon! It was, hands down, the BEST scallops dish we ever ate and our evening was perfect!! Thanks to Andrew and the wonderful staff of the Vista restaurant!!
Henry was great and made it special and fun to eat there
We went for our anniversary, and prior to seeing a comedy show at the casino. The soft live music was the perfect volume and added so much to the evening. We could talk and enjoy each other, and still enjoy the music. The steaks were perfect, and the sides too. Nice wine list at appropriate price points. Overall a great dinner - and we didn’t feel like we were inside a casino at all.
Although the food and service were excellent, we were given the worst table in the restaurant despite our reservation. Even the bar table across from us was better because it at least had the fireplace next to it. Our table for 4 was right beyond the bar line and across from other bar tables, so the only thing that made our table not a bar table was its table cloth. It was quite a disappointment for us and the dinner prices we paid for a table cloth. When I asked for another table, the host told me we’d have to wait 30 minutes. We never should have been given that table in the first place! The host expressed no apology for the table either. We were there to see 3 dog night and obviously couldn’t wait 30 minutes for a decent table. For this reason, I gave it two stars overall despite the good food and excellent server. Be sure to say you don’t want to sit near the bar if you decide to eat there. Sadly, we weren’t familiar with the restaurant or its layout.
Excellent food and service. However, we made reservations 6 weeks in advance and were seated in the back by the kitchen and service station. My oysters were delicious but should have been served with a seafood fork. A salad fork is too bulky for the delicate raw oyster. The palette cleanser was too sweet and not necessary. And unfortunately the champagne was not properly chilled. We will return but request a better table.
This is our second time going to the Vista for a birthday celebration. The first time was really good but for some reason the 2nd time seemed even better. Both times we ordered the Vista Tomahawk, which looks like a steak from the Flintstones. It's definitely worth taking a picture of, but so much of their food is. The steak was perfectly cooked, medium rare, throughout the steak. Which honestly just boggles my mind of how thats even possible for a steak that big. All of the steaks come with your choice of two sauces, which honestly we didn't need. We ended up using the himalayan salt that was on the table, but it was amazing without any of those things. We also got the King Salmon signature dish which had a crispy layer of skin on the top, really delicious flavors. The two dishes were the perfect amount of food for the two of us, as we each dug into each other's plate. The Sommelier came by for an after dinner drink and we had so much fun tasting different types of burbon and learned all about King Louis XII cognac, which runs about $250/pour!
The first time we had dinner at the Vista it was the winter and when we arrived it was completely dark outside, this time we were lucky to catch the sunlight and Oh My! The view beyond the Vista is breathtaking. Trees for as far as you can see, with the clouds & mist, it was truly romantic.
The Vista has now become our go-to celebration restaurant.
The downside is that there are other customers who come in from the casino and they aren't quite dressed for the quality of restaurant that the Vista is. But we just try to ignore them.
We throughly enjoyed our meal. The food was outstanding and the service provided by Andrew and team was phenomenal. We highly recommend anyone from Seattle taking the drive for this restaurant.
We had a very nice evening on a special occaision. We had a booth with a view of Mt. Si and the restaurant had flowers on the table as requested when making the reservation. Our server, Alyce, was very nice and made some good recommendations. The food and drinks were very good and we took our time to enjoy the meal before going to the concert.
Very nice place to eat. Live piano player was fabulous. Our server Briann was amazing. The ambiance was great. Great views of the mountains all the way around the restaurant. Food was good, not great, but presented very fancy and upscale. Dessert was wonderfully delicious. We had Rockefeller scallops, Chateaubriand steak with asparagus and brussel sprouts and berry cheesecake. Overall, wonderful.
The food was the usual high quality we have come to expect at Vista. The service is exceptional too. I would highly recommend Vista for any occasion.
First time visit. This place appears to be trying REALLY hard to be an upscale steakhouse - but it's not. Not even a little bit. You'll get all the attempts at the "bells and whistles" but in our opinion it falls way short. The quality of food falls around The Keg level. . . .which wouldn't be too bad if we were paying Keg prices. But their pricing (for all things) hovers very close to what you would pay at El Gaucho. We love El Gaucho - but we know we're going to get amazing food for the prices we pay. On top of everything else here - you will also receive a face full of cigarette smoke along with your meal. No - you can't smoke inside the restaurant - but you might as well be because it saturates this whole place. Totally decimates any flavor factor. We obviously won't be back.
Service was very good. He gave us plenty of time for conversation but was attentive. Food was prepared to perfection.
It's hard to describe just how awesome the visit was to Vista (no longer called Terra Vista, BTW) at Snoqualmie Casino. We had reservations, and were greeted at the door by a manager & led to a table w/a view. Actually, all the tables in the restaurant had a good view of the scenery (which is, of course, amazing). The menu was clear, and easy to read. Our server, Andrew, was likely the best I've ever had in a restaurant (ask for him!), w/knowledge of the dishes and a really good sense of humor. During the meal a manager (Randy) checked on us more than once, and he also had a good sense of humor! We split the appetizer of bone marrow--oh, wow! And it was huge. We ordered the Black Ribeye and Silver Filet along w/an extra size of Brussels Sprouts. We were treated like royalty and the food would have pleased royalty. Oh--I would be seriously remiss if I didn't mention the mood music. Her voice was lovely, soothing, and perfect volume for the area. The Vista puts a 20% service charge on the bill (tips for all), but we thought it wasn't enough, so we tipped Andrew another 10%.
Service was excellent. Drinks were good. Steaks were nothing special for the price. We had the Tomahawk ribeye. It was not tender at all. The lobster was under cooked. They did take it back and cook it longer. Food presentation was good. I would not go back for the food.
We had an excellent dinner from start to finish. Our welcome bite, appetizers and meals were all terrific. Would highly recommend dinner and they have table side service too.
Wow Wow Wow. Perfect date night. We celebrated our anniversary. We had the perfect table. Food was amazing. Caesar Salad made right in front of us. Baked Alaska for desert. Just outstanding. From the moment you walk in the door, you are made to feel so special. Only negative I would say that even though the restaurant is smoke free, the smell of smoke is very strong in the restaurant from the casino
Fantastic food fantastic service! We will be back!
It was my birthday and I wanted to try this restaurant. Our waitress, Alyce was great and all the people were great! Food was the best steak I've had and all was wonderful. They gave me a rose and the waitress gave us ice cream tacos with a candle. DELISH!!! Want to come again.
Trainee as waiter should have been trained more. Really bad. Reflected on restaurant. Andy who made our Caesar salad and shrimp scampi was excellent. He was exceptional at his trade. The next time I go I will ask for Henry. Henry is a excellent waiter. I request Henry but always get someone else. I will insist the next time time.
We had a table outside on a beautiful night... Perfect. Amazing view, great food and service!
The food was delicious and the service was great. The only down side was that the smoke from in the casino comes inside the restaurant. They should have fans that blow the smoke back into the casino and keep it out of the restaurant.
Service was outstanding and the food quality fantastic. Prices are 5star plus, fine dining.
I wanna start by saying I always review a restaurant honestly and fairly. The dinner started off great, we were showed to our seat at once and prompted with water and menus immediately. After that it slowed down we spoke to three employees before our server came, understandably it was busy and looked like he was handling 4-5 tables alone. Time at this point seemed to reach a stand still, there was ample time to look over the menu, talk, drink some water, talk, look at the menu one more time, talk, sit and stare around the place, glance at the menu knowing I already made my choice, talk but realize I already talked about that, regrettably look at the menu again, contemplate my existence. . . Then he showed again and we ordered, having to look at my menu again cause I forgot during my contemplation of my existence what I decided on. After that excitement I reached inner peace as I noticed the extremely beautiful foothills surrounding us. I ordered the 34 oz vista tomahawk steak and my wife ordered the 6 oz filet. It. Was. Delicious. And worth the wait well worth it. When that amazing 34 oz of red meat was gently set down in front of me I thought I had traveled back in time when Kings and queens ruled and if your steak didn’t come with a bone the size of well a tomahawk handle you weren’t deserving of the title Man. I gorged like my ancestors would have and made them proud. After that dinner was a blur, and we found ourselves very satisfied with Vista. And we would definitely go back but maybe not order a 100$ steak, I spied quite a few delicious sounding options on their menu. Thanks vista and snocasino for making date night great.
Our party of four celebrated two birthdays with dinner at Vista prior to the Air Supply concert. We opted for outdoor seating which was very pleasant--the only downside is that certain menu items normally cooked tableside like scampi & Cherries Jubilee have to be cooked in the kitchen rather than at the table. Our group had salmon, scallops and scampi--all were hits with rave reviews for the scallops with porcini risotto as well as for the scampi. Because half the fun of ordering Cherries Jubiliee is the preparation at the table, we chose to move inside for that part of our dinner. All in all it was a wonderful experience.
The room is very pretty with huge windows, a gorgeous view of Snoqualmie Valley and nice decor. We were here for my hubs' 60th Birthday celebration. Accoustics are not the most ideal-- it was a tad bit noisy for us, esp. since there was a piano player and we were seated close to him.
Hubs started with a Martini-- I had a sip and it was the best I've ever had! My Pinot Noir wine was also excellent.
For fun, we ordered the Chacauterie platter for an appetizer.. it was so fun and so good! Included crackly bread, pate, sausage, pickled cherries, peppers, chutney and a bunch more things, displayed in a very cool way. So good!
For dinner we each had a steak and they were fabulous. My side dish was brussel sprouts, cooked with bacon and they were carmelized nicely, just wonderful.
Our waitress Cori was great, very efficient, friendly and helpful. She did bring a complimentary Baked Alaska in honor of my hubs' birthday for dessert.
A great dining experience, esp. for our special occasion.
We went to this particular restaurant because it is located in the Snoqualmie Casino and we figured we'd do a little gambling after dinner. I've been to numerous casino restaurants and have never seen anything as fantastic as this one. You would hardly believe it is located within the casino, as you are magically transported to a lovely, high-end restaurant scene. The food was exceptional! We dined on Scallops Rockefeller, Chateaubriand, and Banana's Foster. Many courses are prepared right at your table by a true professional. The drink options are plentiful as well. A musician provided live piano playing to enjoy while dining.
Just so no one is misled, all of these wonderful delights come at a price. We averaged over $100 per person. However, we all felt it was worth every penny!
Dinning area was very smoky, not pleasant for non smokers. Waiter was nice enough but when our food arrived (Tomahawk steak and Lobster tail) he decided to use our meal as a sales prop to the table next to ours and also allowed the table in front of us to take photos of our meal. The waiter then sliced our steak and removed the lobster tail from the shell before we were able to eat. The food was prepared very well however the delays in getting our meal to our plates made for lukewarm (border line too cool) food. We waited 10 minutes after our table was cleared before we were presented desert menus. We ordered Bananas Foster and after 25 more minutes of waiting I flagged down our server and requested the desert to be cancelled and to please bring me my bill. A restaurant in this price range should do better than this. I’m definitely undecided if I will return to this smoky dinning room.
Too Near to the Bar and Lounge Area; too Noisy.
Too much walking up and Down by your Serving Staf; perhaps there should be a separate pathway for Serving Staff brining Food to the Bar n Lounge Area instead of currently passing the Dining Area so frequently.
King Salmon was very good; Blue Label Burger was not so good.
Absolutely outstanding service, food and piano music!
