A decidedly tired and unimaginative menu. The only passable items that we had were the bottle of wine and half a dozen oysters. The bread was stale, French onion soup mediocre, and the Dover sole was butchered into fish fingers. Creme brûlée came with a fiery flourish but turned out to be clumpy and grainy. Service was also laughably brutish and clumsy. Save your money and look elsewhere for a nice dinner in Vail.

Very noisy, kids screaming. They sat us in the outside part of the restaurant, was very cold. It looked like a cheap bar to get some quick drinks. Food ok, the salad pretty bad, they just open a bag of greens and added a few xtra items, some food was extremely salty. Very expensive for the low quality and terrible ambience.

The chef at La Tour is a gift from heaven. This is one of our favorite restaurants. Not only is the cuisine consistently excellent, but the service is great also. The turkey was cooked to perfection on Thanksgiving, and our desserts were amazing. As someone with a food allergy (celiac) I find that La Tour is one of the few restaurants where I can eat and never worry about any kind of gluten contamination in the kitchen. Thank you La Tour!

Went here for my anniversary based off of other reviews. The restaurant tables are packed closely together so if you are looking for an intimate dinner this is not the place. The people at the table next to use were visibly very sick and it was impossible to enjoy the meal next to all of that coughing. The waiter was kind but only checked on us once, we didn't get refills on our water or other beverages. Half of our order was never brought out even after I asked about it twice. The food we did get was fine but I defiantly would not return.

My husband and I went here for a little date night on Halloween during our stay. We got the truffle halibut and the Manhattan steak as our entrees and the bbq oysters to start. Everything was delicious and the Maitre’d was outstanding. Very welcoming and accommodating. The lakeside park cocktail was light and refreshing. Highly recommend. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here while in town for business. Great server who understood pairings and was able to lead us through the menu. From the escargot to the French onion soup, the artisanal salad to the salmon and duck. We enjoyed every aspect of the meal.

This was my best meal and wine in Colorado, and I spent a week, mostly in Denver. It’s worth a night in Vail just to eat here.

Should season, if that even really exists anymore, so a bit calmer. Unfortunately John, our server, was covering an entire room of 10 tables, 23 covers which kept him running. He worked hard and made our meal very enjoyable. Atmosphere is very nice, perfect for the area. Price-points are a bit "healthy" especially with the wine list but this is Vail after all. Ultimately however, it is the food and on that, the cuisine, both taste and presentation, was outstanding. Every bite of every dish was terrific. Easy to see why La Tour has been around for over 30 years now. And, hopefully, will be for another 30.

Been visiting this restaurant for years, but I think it is finally time for a serious renovation. Just looks old and tired (1980's). Food good but nothing special. Came to celebrate a big birthday and while the hostess wished "Happy Birthday" on arrival, no candle in the dessert, no other mention of the occasion. Seemed like a missed opportunity to really make it special. Maybe that is a Covid thing?

Everything was great except the Dogs vet Sole was exceptionally dry. However the beet salad was awesome! And everyone be else’s meal was perfect!
