Overall the restaurant is good but it used to be great several years ago. Decent and average Italian cuisine that you can probably find elsewhere for lower cost. Atmosphere used to be much higher end and feels very dated and not a special occasion place.

Authentic is the first word that comes to mind when I think about Luce. Amazing food and service in the perfect atmosphere. Menu prices are parallel to the food/beverage quality and presentation. Highly recommend!

Wonderful dinner. The scallop risotto was Devine, and my friend ate every bite of the short ribs a gnocchi. The pear salad is always a winner. Thank you Augusto, Caesar and Rosa for always taking care of me

My daughter and I dined here before we went to a play. Everything was excellent until we got to the end of our meal. We were hoping to have dessert but unfortunately our waiter forgot about us. We tried on several attempts to get his attention to no avail. We finally got the attention of the hostess and requested our check. What an unfortunate way to end our dining experience.

Did this place change hands? Did the chef quit? The service staff all seem brand new. We have been here many times and the food was always exquisite. This time the Osso Bucco was mediocre and the veal parm was tough as shoe leather. What happened to the old Luce’s?

I was pretty disappointed with our meal. I had the carbonara and it was soupy and bland. Not a fresh herb to be found even just for presentation purposes. Atmosphere was nice, service was good. Just wish the food had been up to par.

Nice place to dine, especially if you are going to the nearby theatre or sports event. It's somewhat pricey, however. Excellent service! Table for 2 is rather small, which is a shame.

Cesar was absolutely super. Love the service, love the food and love the ambience. I remember they were paintings that were there in the past that have been removed. I do hope they will bring those back. Recommend this place full special occasions, and otherwise. 👍🏽

We were sat in the bar area of the restaurant. This was a poor choice on our part. The area is too small, and far too busy to accommodate a romantic dinner. The food was incredible, both in taste and portion size. We’ll definitely return, but we’ll make it a point to sit at a standard table.

Service was excellent. The food however was not. I ordered the scallops with risotto. What I got was 4 overcooked very small scallops in a bed of really overcooked risotto that resembled overdone grits more than risotto. The risotto was not light and creamy on the contrary it was starchy heavy and lumpy. Don’t think I will back.

Was visiting Charlotte and had dinner here. Greeted and seated promptly. Shared the beef carpaccio which was delicious but could have used more beef and less arugula. Then we both had the veal piccata which was wonderful. Then the gelato for dessert. Would go back

Unfortunately, my review is the same as last time. There is no better Italian in Charlotte. The initial service is excellent. Do not come to this place and be there near closing. This is the second time in a row I have had a fantastic dinner and service only to get to the end ( near closing ) and no service or attention. I had to beg for the dessert menu, coffee, and check. At least this time, the waiter did not disappear, and I finally ran him down. Ruined a perfect meal It is a shame to ruin a perfectly good meal when the staff is more focused on closing than finishing up on a positive note.
