    Almost gave up on returning to Mariposa after being disappointed at 3 of our previous visits, but this time was a charm. The food and ambiance were perfect, and the service was just right with the server making sure we were taken care of but not overbearing. Will go back again for lunch.

    i was very disappointed that i made a reservation and was not asked about sitting outside in the heat!!!! No one asked....I've always been asked. Preston the waiter was great, but it was very very hot and uncomfortable. but no one asked up front. they seems to be not busy but acted like rushed and busy

    One of my favorite restaurants. You can count of them being consistent in service and food quality. Glad it seems like busy is good after the COVID reopenging.

    Our server was awesome. I wish I remembered his name. The food was delicious. The hot soup cup and the pop-overs were amazing as usual. Love the ambiance.

    Third time’s the charm, I guess. Previous two times was disappointed with the food, but this time tried the salmon ochazuke. Only complaint is to heat up the broth/green tea. Dish reminiscent of the one I used to enjoy at the Pineapple Room years ago. Otherwise would’ve been five stars. We celebrated birthdays. Complimentary sorbet; the Kona coffee one was awesome.

    We had an excellent lunch celebrating 2 birthdays that day. Two of us had the special of the day, the duck leg dish and the other two ordered the shrimp and lobster Louie salad. We all enjoyed our lunches. A big kudos to Kawai, our waiter. He was so personable and always came around to refill our drinks/coffee! An excellent place to enjoy a good lunch with friends.

    The dishes were reasonably good. Dishes arrived to the table warm not hot. The idea of Flavor was ok a little more and the dish would taste better. The portions for a male recommend order an appetizer and an entree. The Puff pastry/bread was over cooked and could pass as yesterday’s bread. The Bread used to be better when the restaurant first opened The consumee was salty probably from evaporation while giving the soup hot.

    We love coming for the sunset, but didn't remember it being quite so hot out on the terrace in previous visits. Maybe previously there was a Kona wind. Maybe some fans outside (like you have inside) might help until the sun goes down and it cools off. The food was good the service was excellent and the view as always was unbeatable.

    The restaurant staff did an excellent job. They were all so friendly and welcoming. They did not rush my group and let us sit and chat for quite a while. The food was great!

    The service was impeccable. Wait staff responded to every need and were most gracious. We sat at a table outside overlooking the water. The popovers were delightful. My husband had salmon and I had scallops. Both dishes beautifully presented and decorated with caviar. But the piece de resistance was the chocolate dessert decorated with fruit and edible flowers. A fantastic lunch!

    Four of us for lunch. We waited just a few minutes to be seated. I've always enjoyed the ambiance of Mariposa and this day was no different after being away for four years. Each of us ordered a different entree and each of us really enjoyed what we ordered. The scallops were absolutely scrumptious! The desserts were delicious as well (macadamia nut pie, chocolate gelato & coffee gelato) Our server was pleasant and we all had a really great lunch here. Everyone was happy about their own entree selection!

    Our experience at Mariposa was outstanding. Starting with consume and popovers prior to your entree is a lovely touch. The chopped salad with salmon was delicious. Mariposa is a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion like a birthday or anytime you wish to treat yourself. Our server was flawless and made our lunch even more special. Kudos to him.

    Risa and Felix and EVERYONE were FANTASTIC! We had an EXCELLENT 5-STAR Experience for my Beautiful Mom's Special Birthday. Everything and Everyone EXCEEEDED our EXPECTATIONS! The cuisine was also very Delicious--enJoyed the Pop-ups, chicken consume and Libations! The wine pour was very Generous. Thank You so much for the Complimentary Birthday Dessert for Mom--she absolutely Loved it! YOU ALL hit it out of the Ballpark and we are so thrilled and grateful that we chose Mariposa for this Historic Birthday Venue for my Sweet Mother! Happy Holidays to you all and your familes!! YAY!

    My classmates and I thoroughly enjoyed Mariposa, its food and especially our friendly, accommodating, and personable server Kawai, whom we requested because he was outstanding the last time we dined there. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals and desserts. Thank you for helping 4 of us celebrate our birthdays with a special scoop of tasty ice cream and a chocolate "Happy Birthday".

    Terrible dining experience! I had much difficulty making reservations for a party of eleven. The reservations phone number was not answered for over one hour requiring me to make a complaint to the Neiman’s store manager to get someone from the restaurant to call me back. Mariposa blamed Neiman’s for taking away one podium position so nobody was able to answer the phone and they were closing for a private event. We get to Mariposa and the table is not set up and they didn’t know we were celebrating a birthday. Once we get to the table, two servers asked if we were celebrating an occasion. Do they communicate with each other? The main server, John got our orders confused and had to ask, what did you order again, forgot to bring one appetizer, one ribeye was supposed to be medium rare but was medium, one entrée came out about five minutes before the other guests meals, John tried to say Americano coffee was decaffeinated and was a better coffee because someone forgot to close the lid on the coffee pot! The food was blah! My lobster roll was two small King’s Bakery sweet bread rolls with lobster inside with a piece of lemon. The dinner menu is more like a pupu/ happy hour menu with sandwiches, cheeseburgers and salads. Again, the taste of the food was like one step above a fast food restaurant. Overall experience was very disappointing!

    Peak lunchtime on a Saturday might not be the best time to go. Wait staff were doing their best but were not present and available in the way we’ve come to expect from this restaurant.

    Service by Risa was excellent. She gave us extra pop-overs to take home. The only thing was that my entree which was pan seared scallops didn't come with any sides.

    Went to Mariposa to celebrate my friend’s birthday. The service in all aspects was amazing! The menu was a little disappointing - the entree choices were minimal and a little underwhelming. It may be because we were sitting outside and therefore were provided with the Sunset Lounge menu versus the Dine In menu linked on the website. And so we ordered a variety of starters to share instead. Overall great dining experience, and would return again.
