Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. My family and I went to Vue 412 for my 70th birthday dinner. We were 30 minutes earlier than our reservation on a Wednesday night, but we were seated right away at a wonderful table for five that was facing the window so everyone had a terrific view. The dining room on the entry level was almost empty at 6 pm, which is probably why we got terrific service. From the coat check, to our drinks, to the wonderful meal, the service could not have been faster, more friendly or more efficient. The table was beautifully set. While waiting for our food, they brought out wonderful French bread with an olive tapenade. I have many food allergies and they listened to everything and cooked me a wonderful strip steak, without salt or spices. It was heavenly. My husband had the salmon wrapped with prosciutto, my daughter the chicken parmigiana. All delicious. The other two people had an appetizer and a salad for their dinner, and the waitress brought everything out together, which is what we asked for. Very considerate! For dessert, they brought a sparkler on cotton candy in a tall glass! They sang Happy Birthday to me - it was a wonderful way to finish a wonderful meal. The portions are ample, so be warned not to order too much. Please keep up the great work, Vue 412.

The atmosphere was outstanding! We had such a beautiful view of the city. The food was delicious & the service was great. Went there for me & my boyfriends 1 year anniversary & we will definitely be coming back.

I booked this restaurant in January for my sons rehersal dinner. We made our plans for food tasting with JJ. Our appointment was for late May as the dinner for 20 is in July. Very sadly, my husband passed away in early May. As we went to our scheduled food tasting, we called as we were going to be a few minutes late. We were informed, quite rudely, that our reservation for 20 was lost and that they had no tasting scheduled. We were upset , but since we were almost there, we went anyway. We met with Dan, who pretended to be a manager and we spent 2 hours with him selecting food with his promises we are all set nothing to worry about. I never heard from him again and when I called the restaurant, they say they lost our reservation again. And Dan was not a manager, but a server, and was fired. I then speak to Melissa who told me she has been there for years and she promises it will be a beautiful event. I take an hour and go over everything again. I never hear from her again. I call the restaurant and find out that she resigned two weeks later. Then in 1 summer, 4 managers later, I get the owner Rose. Who also says they lost our reservation. This was extremely stressful to say the least and I tell her the whole story, including losing my beloved husband right before our sons wedding. She is stone cold and says " I have problems too" WOW. DO NOT DO NOT plan an event here. These people are cold, heartless, disorganized and DO NOT care about their customers. We are going to another restaurant and the new place was kind enough to help us a few weeks before the event. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM VUE 412.

Just a very weird vibe from the moment we got there. The staff was friendly, but they didn't even seem like they wanted to be there. The food was sub par and very overpriced considering the quality. Would not recommend or return.

The view and server were both lovely. The first thing I ordered, the burata , was sold out. The calamari was awful. We couldn't eat it. The worst any of us ever had! The cocktails were yummy! My rib eye had good flavor , but needed to be trimmed more. I was told the scallops and the short ribs were good. None of us wanted to stay for desert. We had cappuccino.

This was my second visit in a week, I brought out of town visitors both times. The view is spectacular! This time they were short staffed in the kitchen, they did warn us and luckily we were not in a hurry, but it did take a really long time! Another pet peeve of mine is don't serve Prosecco (sparkling wine) in a wine glass! Overall, still a wonderful experience and the food was excellent! I will return again, most likely with out of town visitors!

Great place for special occasions or out of town visitors because of the view -- which is worth the trip. Food is quite good, and justifies choosing this restaurant over others along Mount Washington. Relatively small with plenty of window view tables on three floors. Take the Duquesne Jnclube up to make the visit extra special.

It is all about the view: wonderful! Do not expect sophisticated food or service, but If you want a great view and experience of Pittsburgh it is very nice! The bread with olive oil and balsamic is great. The wine could be better appreciated if they serve it with crystal glasses.

Went here for our first anniversary. The upstairs looked very nice and the view of Pittsburgh was fantastic. The downstairs (where we were seated) felt like more casual - nice for groups, not so nice for a date. Food was OK but the manager and waitress/waiter was very kind and attentive. Probably wouldn't recommend for a date night but maybe to celebrate a special occasion with a group

Paid for our own parking $10; hostess absent for quite awhile from reception area; waitress tried to help seat us but did not know how to find reservation. Hostess finally came back but did not check our reservation until we requested being checked for arrival. No inquiry as to where we would like to sit. Took us to a cold stone table in the bar area whereas up stairs had tablecloths. No placemats. Had to sit diagonal of my spouse since his chair was pushed up against another guest. Spouse's view was of a severely chipped paint door. No water provided or asked about. We had the salmon spinach salad and Cobb chicken salad. Both were tasty but very long stems on spinach had not been trimmed. We had to request bread or rolls which was good but only bruschetta size. No refills were offered on bread. Groupon was accepted without question, but newer waitress had to take my phone to manager instead of calling him over. Ladies room is up numerous stairs for seniors or disabled.

Had a nice quiet lunch with my daughter last Saturday. Love the new spring menu! This is the third time I've been here for lunch in the last couple months. Very nice lunch menu. All fresh ingredients, good pricing and excellent service

Outstanding! Because of the mixed reviews, I was a little leery of taking people visiting, but since 2 of them had never been to the Burgh before thought the view would be nice. View is wonderful! Service was great, very attentive, but didn't bug us. Suggested different things, food was great. Would definitely go back, especially with out of town guests.

The ambiance was great. The view was beautiful. The food was delicious and the staff was attentive and friendly. My wife said it was the best chicken she has ever had and the filet literally melted in your mouth. The wait was a little long, but they were extremely busy and everyone was always hard at work. The view makes it much more tolerable. Trying to pick out buildings from the view was a really nice experience.

Didn't get any water refills, there for over an hour. Ordered filet mignon medium rare. Burnt outside, over cooked inside, dry. Did not resemble a filet mignon cut either. Mashed potatoes may have been from a box. Overall felt like chain restaurant.

Mussel app. was so over powered by lemon flavor it was not enjoyable. Scallops were described by waiter as sauteed to a golden brown crust before being finished off in the oven. You could smell the fishy smell of the scallops before they reached the table. One of four scallops had a little browning on one side. The accompanying greens were so strong with vinegar they could not be eaten and the golden raisins had the same strong vinegar taste. My husband had the salmon, which he said was fine, but it came with broccoli rabbie? that had also been doused in vinegar and could not be eaten. I think the chief is trying to be creative with flavor combinations, but it just does not work. They also need to replace the filthy carpet.

Absolutely terrible. Not only where we sat down and they "forgot" they sat for 30 minutes even though we where in the middle of the top floor . my steak was rubber and bland my girlfriend chicken was burned and her tiramisu was frozen solid. It was un eatable. The view was the only thing enjoyable. I had such high hopes and was extremely disappointed . it was a total waste of money and I would never go back .

Overall the restaurant was nice. I have an absolute hatred for places that don't allow substituting sides... so for that, I gave this place less than perfect. Other than that, it was nice.

Had dinner with friends, food was very good, our server was excellent and on top of everything. The view was fabulous. Two weeks later I took a group of 35 and Vue412 handled my group with white glove service. I will be going back personally and with a group and would recommend. Went for Easter brunch, and my husband had ham, it was gray in color and difficult to cut. He also had potatoes which were black. He said the ham was tough, and sent it back. I had the pancakes which were more like crepes. They tasted ok. I thought it was over priced. It was 20 dollars for the pancakes and yogurt. Two pieces of bacon were five dollars. Their regular menu may be better. The view was nice, and the service was good.

This was one of the worse dining experiences I've had in my life. My boyfriend and I are from out of town and decided to come to this restaurant for our anniversary. Although we had a reservation booked for 8:00 PM, we were not seated until around 8:45 PM. We then waited over 10 minutes before the waitress came for our drink order. The service was absolutely horrible and many other guest were complaining as well. The table next to us left without ordering a meal because of the bad service. After receiving our food my boyfriend found that his filet mignon was covered in fat so we asked to send it back for another. The manager informed us that his order was the last filet mignon, so he decided not to get a replacement meal and left the hungry. The potatoes that were supposed to come with my meal were replaced with a puree and they did not take this unwanted item off our ticket. There were no apologies for the poor service or horrible food. We had much better meals while in the area at Texas Roadhouse or Joseph Tambellini (Italian which I definitely recommend). I do not recommend Vue 412 to any one ever. Avoid this place at all cost!

Made an 8pm reservation... Seated at 9pm. View of downtown Pittsburg is amazing. The short ribs were very flavorful. The executive chef that was just hired (along with the new menu appears to be a hit)... They just need to work on their organizational skills so folks are moving in & out seamlessly.

The view was great! Fantastic service! Food was good steak cooked wronged but manager fixed it right away. Again can't say enough about the staff do friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had what we wanted and our experience was great.

As all Grandview Ave. venues, the view is spectacular, to say the least. The service was amazing, from the recommendations for wine pairing to the detailed explanation of the entrees, our server, Christopher, was on top of our every question and need. Compared to the other cliffside restaurants, the cuisine was exceptional and the price far less than anticipated. We have found our new "best" restaurant!

we had dined at Tin Angel several times in the past and wanted to check what replaced it. we were pleasantly surprised. The service was warm and friendly. Despite a limited menu with some items no longer available at 7 PM on a Sunday, we all enjoyed what we ordered. The soup was earthy and delicious, the lobster salad delicate, tasty and outstanding, the pasta with peas was perfectly cooked and very tasty...the wine list is short but contains some excellent selections for all tastes and budget. we will be back.

We went for a special occasion it seems that upstairs was mor formal with classical music playing. The mood was relaxed and special. We were seated downstairs where there are two large TV's along with rock music. As it was my first time there I was unaware of the differences until I went to the ladies room. As I said, it was a special occasion. Request the upper level for a more elegant experience. Lower level is definitely more casual. The food was great and the view id to die for
