With many tables open, I was seated right in front of the band… the other two in my party weren’t there yet. I asked to be seated somewhere a little farther and it seemed to be an inconvenience by the hostess. Once seated, it took about 10 minutes for someone to greet me and pour water. Once my friends arrived and we had an assigned waitress, our service was slow across the board, we had difficulty flagging down the waitress when we needed drinks, and there was marked attitude when one member of our party questioned her martini glass being less than full when it arrived to our table. The member of our party who paid made the choice to tip under 20% because our service wasn’t up to the standards we would expect. When we walked out, our waitress… I believe her name was Haley… said loudly, sarcastically and verbatim to my friend who paid - “you’re so generous, you’re a gem. Thank you soooo much” It was really uncalled for. I hope this type of behavior isn’t a repeat pattern as I’ve enjoyed my previous experiences here.

A great dinner at Cioppino. We had the Caesar salad, the lobster bisque, the pan seared scallop and the crab cakes. All were delicious and well presented. We shared the Black Forest Bombe for dessert. Our server Je.. brought the food at just the right time.

Our service was excellent. I can't remember her name, but she had glasses and short hair. Really wonderful server. Took care of us for almost 2 hours for a party of 4

The ambiance is wonderful, we landed in the bar after dinner and had a wonderful view of downtown Pittsburgh during Light Up night. We enjoyed the music. We celebrated a birthday and they customized the menu for our birthday guest, nice touch. We were disappointed in the quality of our entree. My wife had Halibut and I had the special, Stargazer fish. It was very dry. We had to request butter and sauce to consume it. To their credit, they did adjust our bill. I would give them another opportunity and go back because of all the other positive experiences we had.

This place was really incredible. I can't get over the vibes and coziness. But also was uplifting enough to where you wanted to have fun. The food was great. Really superb. What a great spot!

We celebrated our wedding here, just the two of us. Food, was unbelievable, the service and atmosphere were exactly what I envisioned for our wedding dinner and the lounge with live jazz music was the perfect touch. Michael T provided us great and fun service, but the entire staff was amazing from the time we walked in, to the time we left. Thank you to the Cioppino's staff for a memorable experience on our special day 🥰

Solid food selection and delicious drinks. I wish the beet salad has warm buratta as opposed to cold. Short rib was excellent as were the crab cakes. Cigar bar is very relaxing and has a nice selection of drinks and cigars to choose from.

One of the finest restaurants in Pittsburgh! The service was outstanding, the food was absolutely delicious, and let's talk about the atmosphere...perfect. This was a birthday dinner for a family member and it was a hit. Although this was my first time at the restaurant, it will not be the last. I will highly recommend this establishment to my friends, family and anyone that would ask for a restaurant suggestion.

Food and service were great, but they place tables way to close to the jazz band. Nothing against the band; they were good, but I could not hear my wife from across the table.

I visited Cioppino alone while in town for a Steelers game. I had the Osso Buco which was phenomenal. The food in general was excellent. I had great service both in the restaurant and the adjacent cigar bar. Well done.

Anniversary dinner, great server, good live music, great view as sun went down, very comfortable. Food was really good. We have been to Monterey Bay Fish Grotto a few times lately and we liked Cioppino better in terms of accessibility, value, laid back vibe. Only thing missing was a Ham Hock Soup.

Our first visit to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Sat at the bar to have a drink until our reservation and enjoyed the live music. Had an amazing dinner in the dining area with amazing service by Drew. His knowledge and energy about the menu made it very hard to select and entree because he made them all sound amazing. After dinner we went into the cigar lounge to cap off our evening. Everything about our experience was amazing! Shoutout to the valet attendant, the host that greeted us, the bartenders and our servers.

Dillon is a pure delight at the front desk. He was very welcoming and friendly. Halley was our waitress also a true professional. We enjoyed our evening and will be back. Great night out in the city!

The menu that we checked on open table looked great went we arrived the menu was changed. Very small we watched a couple sit down and look at the menu, Look at each other then get up and leave. Not a lot of choices. We used co eat here a lot but the restaurant seems to have changed and not for the better. we also waited 20 minutes between courses. The Cioppino was very good but was looking forward to the dishes that were posted

We had the unfortunate experience of being seated next to a table of 8 cackling, extremely loud women. Our waitress, Alex, was extremely helpful, moving us to another table in the bar area. Her service was greatly appreciated.

Great place! Sat at the bar for drinks, apps and dinner. Bartenders were great Highly recommend crab dip and pork belly apps. We had seabass and cioppino for dinner. Both where delicious. Only disappointment was they took the octopus off menu. We will definitely return for dinner

Was not wild about the quality of the food.My wife and I had sea bass and thought it was all right. Our friends had lamb and said it was real good. his wife had Cioppino and did not like it. Had appetizers of brussel sprouts and some kind of fried potatoes which again were just all right. Bill for 4 people with a bottle of wine included was $400.

For $45, at least 3 scallops should be included with a meal. Drinks were amazing, but pricey. Overall a nice evening. The staff is nice.

Great dinner. The crab appetizer was very good. My wife had the short ribs and I had the sea bass oscar. Both dishes were outstanding. Drew our server paced the meal out well and always makes it a great experience.
