Vercelli Restaurant is a family run Italian Restaurant situated in the centre of Hexham, a busy market town in Northumberland. The family, all from around the Hexham area, have worked hard over the last 8 years to modernise the cocktail bar and restaurant. All the family are involved in the business, with the aim of providing a memorable experience.

Sue, Front of House Manager, enjoys working alongside the enthusiastic team who have built a relationship with their returning customers and welcoming new, with an aim to make your experience relaxing and memorable throughout.


Executive chef, Jordan, and Head chef, Scott, source the finest Italian provisions to produce high quality Italian dishes with a modern twist.

At the front of the restaurant is a small, modern cocktail bar which hosts live music nights regularly but can be enjoyed for a bite to eat or a drink any night of the week.

    Food and service excellent as always. WE took advantage of the Early Bird Special, so great value for money too, although the normal prices are pretty reasonable anyway. My only complaint, as a hearing aid wearer, is that the noise level makes it very difficult for me to be able to hear what my other 3 table companions were saying. I think this is probably a problem that I need to look in to solving, but if there is anything that Vercelli's could do, in the way of providing a noise awareness corner, that would be another incentive for people in my predicament to visit more frequently... Well done all, a great local business that we are all very pleased to have in Hexham :-)

    Very nice restaurant. They made space for us in the restaurant even though we had only booked the bar. Staff lovely . Fantastic service even though quite a few large parties in. Food good and reasonable priced . Would definitely go there again .

    Came for bottomless brunch yesterday. Arrived to a live singer which was a bit loud and we couldnt hear each other but after a few drinks was ok to have a little sing along with but to be honest was pleased when he packed up so we could chat with just the background music. Waitress was very attentive, as soon as our glasses were anywhere near empty she arrived with another round. Food nice, not proper italian quality by any means but still good. We stayed on after our alloted time to have some rounds of cocktails - shame you cant pay an extra fee and have some of them included on the bottomless menu. Overall we would definitely come again one of the best bottomless i have done for attentive staff and well priced

    Lovely meal which was served efficiently and quickly even though the place was busy. Staff were very efficient and friendly. We visit very regularly and have always found it to be perfect.

    Very attentive service, tempting menu and delicious food. It would be nice if some green veg was included in the pasta dishes, that would be my only suggested improvement

    We had the Early Bird Menu Food as always was fresh,delicious and good presentation. Our server was very attentive and very pleasant Lovely evening we are never disappointed and a bonus due to beautiful weather we were able to sit in the garden If I had one small grumble it would be if the garden is open to ensure the tables and chairs are cleaned to remove any bird droppings
