The award-winning Tea Room at Doddington Hall offers an exquisite Afternoon Tea experience that promises to be a treat for everyone. With an array of options, it's a perfect setting for indulging in a leisurely afternoon with friends or loved ones.

Nestled in the Coach House under the magnificent gaze of the Elizabethan Hall, our romantic Afternoon Tea offers a perfect blend of charm and sophistication. Served on vintage-style china, you’ll savour freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, an exquisite selection of Doddington’s signature sweet treats and an array of delicious sandwiches with the option of additional extras and upgrades.

Choose sittings from; 12.00pm, 12.30pm, 2.30pm or 3.00pm.

Please note that your table is available for 1.5 hours from your booking time. We recommend pre-booking online to avoid disappointment. Walk-ins subject to availability.

Everything was soo good, from the ambiance, food, service, all excellent. We were welcomed so politely, nothing was too much trouble. Food, wow all so tasty and fresh. Looked amazing too. Staff all so professional. The room had been decorated soo well, soo pretty. Would highly recommend.

It was very nice but it felt like everyone was let in at the same time so you were battling for a server to begin with as 10/15 tables had the same needs at the same time. 3 finger sandwiches, 1 scone, and four small cakes was lovely but with only one choice of coffee (but a wide selection of teas) felt like £30 was pushing it for the experience

Our afternoon tea was served in The Coach House, a lovely airy venue filled with light and well decorated with twinkling lights, artificial flowers around the ceiling and candles, fresh flowers on each table. We were welcomed by pleasant, smart staff and shown to our table. A fair number of diners were in the room but it was a very pleasant ambience. We were left to peruse our menus and having ordered extra beverages, Prosecco and a low alcohol beer, these were quickly delivered. We had quite a long wait for our tea orders to be taken and the same for our food. We ordered one classic and one savoury afternoon tea. These arrived on pretty tiered cake plates. The food was very tasty and good choices with the lemon tart being the star of the show. The sandwiches may have been left out for a while as the bread was slightly dry on the outer sides, although the fillings were delicious. We were checked on re any requirements or if drinks needed refilling. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and left feeling well satisfied with the afternoon. We would definitely recommend.

Definitely not as good as last year when we visited. No sausage roll and scone was rock hard not fresh at all. I was disappointed 😞

Booking experience excellent. The tea itself could be improved by the following: Savoury option more varied - it was very pork heavy & no quiche/tart option. Not special enough for the price. Lovely fresh scones but not enough cream & jam for 2 people. The sandwiches could easily have been improved by adding cream cheese to salmon bun & mustard or pickle (optional maybe) to ham Wrong choice for ambient music - too high tempo. Summer serenade would be better. Having a bit more attentiveness & pro-active checking in from service staff would have been appreciated.
