We sat by the fireplace and enjoyed a creative, three course dinner with Cajun accents. Our server was extremely attentive and the food was superb- we’ll definitely be back!
Nice luxury quiet ambiance and very innovative tasty food.
Liked our overall experience but would have loved it if we weren't sitting outside the kitchen doors. It was impossible to hear across the table over the sound of dishes banging, discussions between staff and even glasses dropped and broken. Would definitely go back and ask for a table opposite the kitchen doors. Prices were a tad steep for the quantity of what you got but the quality was definitely there.
We live an hour away and always worth the drive. Food and service is always great.
Ambience was welcoming. It was busy but we were able to speak in a conversational tone during lunch. Food was excellent as it was a special menu for restaurant week. Service was great.
First time visit at CRs Reataurant— excellent food, atmosphere & service!
A bit on the pricey side, but I’ve never been disappointed with the food or the service.
Food was unbelievable along with the wait staff.
Love this restaurant especially with the add on of a Brian and Adrian.
Great service, good food in a warmly decorated space. Prices on high side, but on par with many fine restaurants in the Seacoast region. Recommended.
The food was excellent as usual, would prefer not to have the server again, he was very aloof.
The waitstaff are very accommodating and friendly. Excellent atmosphere.
Nice ambiance. Had a nice yet tiny fillet. AWESOME service. Overall a good experience.
My salmon was excellent. Our server was very pleasant and provided great service.
We came here for a birthday dinner with friends. Wonderful, warm ambiance. The service was fast and friendly and the food was good. The menu was interesting, it ranged from venison to seafood. There is something for everybody here.
Great service from server Lisa Ryan
CRs is our favorite restaurant
Excellent meal and very professional/attentive service by Matt. Love this place.
Perfect 10th Anniversary Celebration - My husband and I really enjoyed our evening out celebrating our anniversary. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious! We highly recommend the meatballs and the filet. Both were very flavorful, fresh and cooked to perfection. The fresh made donuts to end our evening was amazing. The chef wrote "Happy Anniversary" on the plate to make it extra special. We were so busy enjoying our food that we forgot to take any pictures. Highly recommend CR's!
first time at the restaurant . The service could have been better , in that my friend ordered another drink , yet never arrived and had to ask again . The salmon was overcooked and extremely salty . We dis tell our server to let the chef know over salted . Thank you
CR’s is our go to spot for special nights out. We went for my boyfriend’s birthday prior to the David Spade show. As always the food and service were exceptional! CR’s even provided a delicious surprise birthday dessert! And to top it all off, Mr. Spade happened to come in and sit at a table right near us and was kind enough to allow a photo. I think our whole experience qualifies for the most memorable birthday celebration ever!
Nice restaurant to bring my wife to for an anniversary meal. The place is not inexpensive in any regard. That being said If I'm going to spend that much on a meal I expect the potatoes to be hot and the asparagus not to be burnt. The prime rib was fine.
My wife is a vegetarian and was not interested in the one meal being offered. The staff informed us that the cooks will work with us to create a customer dish for her. We will take them up on that offer next time we are in town.
CR's bar menu is more attractive to my husband and I as we are not the gourmet type. The restaurant menu has lots of delicious sauces and enhancements and as we are more basic eaters we order most sauces on the side so we can try it. You can order off the bar menu in the restaurant but it's a bit uncomfortable when you ask. Consistently (we've been 4 times) the service is outstanding, the atmosphere is upbeat and the ambience is perfect. Favorite: Lobster won tons
Two of us had quiche which was not cooked through. Two others ordered medium rare and rare hamburgers and they were both well done. Not good for two simple dishes
First visit here! Very welcoming, comfortable, great drinks and delicious food! Will definitely be back!
We needed a night out to relax and unwind and the staff were great with us. Karen was very attentive and took great care of us. Definitely will come back and ask for her to wait on us again in the future.
Very sweet and romantic. Great for s fancy date to dress up.
Great overall experience. Veal chop was excellent. Great service but never rushed!
Significantly disappointed does not begin to describe how we felt after last nights dinner. This was our multi celebration of our 35’th anniversary, my birthday on Sept 28 and my wife’s September 29 - the night of our dinner. To begin, when I made sure, three times, that everyone was aware of our celebrations, I did not expect to be placed at the table just outside the kitchen - I did not appreciate having everyone else’s food staged next to my chair - hardly romantic or special.
- Bread with humas and butter sides, very good - the bread was fresh, slightly warm - but the humas was delicious.
- Clam chowder - good, but the fresh clams were chewy
- Beef cheeks - good, appropriately tender with good flavor as noted in the menu
- Veal chop - I asked for MRare, it was medium - not a big deal. The rest of the dish, potato’s, mushrooms and pumkin were flavorless.
- Short Ribs - so over-cooked, neither my wife nor I ( I would have switched meals) could eat them. Manager apologized and offered to provide another dish, quite frankly, too late for that. How the dish left the kitchen is beyond me.
- Blueberry crumble, or whatever it was called, disgusting. First, the dish should have been hot with ice cream. Instead, the blueberries had a raw oat meal cold topping - it had never been cooked.
Coffee, Luke warm
Wine, ok, a bit overpriced, but ok
The bill was about $93 with one meal taken off, I actually left a $37 tip for Jason. I will never return as there are better special occasion restaurants available.
My friend and her new beau came from Florida for a visit. She used to live in Hampton Falls. It was a very relaxed comfortable spot to have an excellent lunch and catch up on new and old times. The atmosphere was most pleasant with an excellent wine list. While our server was present, my friend asked about the Crab Tower which I had mentioned in an email was my favorite but was not on the lunch menu. To my delight, our server immediately said that it was available. My friend and her beau both ordered the salmon burger. We were all most delighted with our choices. Thank you, Anne
I have visited this restaurant on a few occasions. I visit whenever I come into town. The food never disappoints!! It’s always creative and nutritious.
We have been here numerous times but we were VERY disappointed this time. We were celebrating our anniversary - had made a reservation - had requested a booth but we were given a small table for two (we were told a very nice table) - we didn't agree. One of the appetizers we had was not tasty and our dessert was for lack of a better word - disgusting. How do you mess up blueberry crisp?
Nice atmosphere, great food, friendly staff. Will definitely return for another terrific meal!
I found CR's two years ago, and was delighted BUT something has changed: the food quality has slipped, the service is less than it was, the menu has become more odd with each season. As much as I loved this restaurant, I think I will look for a new option - sad - because it was once so good.
A 12:15 Monday luncheon w/ friends. The Maitre d' graciously offered a choice of a table or banquette. Right away, the decor is pleasing to the eye. Dark furniture for a rich look, draped with white table linen.
Our server, a gentleman, was most cordial and knew the product. The Martini's were generous and he did not spill a drop. The Salmon Filet on a bed of roasted vegetables was done perfectly and picture worthy. The Prime Rib Dip came out medium rare and was enjoyed. The kitchen obliged us by warming up the usually served cool Stacked Pastrami sandwich and it was a hit. Lastly, the Fish and Chips were done perfectly. The prices are fair. Grey Goose Martini is $12.00. Last May at the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City was $18.00 and half the volume. Getting there was 6 hours 15 minutes.
I prefer dinner and it's never just to fill up. It's for the experience. I expect ambiance, quality of food, the plated presentation, professional, yet friendly waitstaff and never to be rushed. All of these wants are met and exceeded at CR'S.
p.s. This is an honest critique, I do not know any of the staff or the owner(s).
Always dependable, good quality dining in a comfortable setting at a very fair price
We are frequent diners at CR's and we are never disappointed. Saturday's prime rib special was exceptional for the quality and size of the portion and cooked to my preferred rare temperature. Alicia was an excellent waitress, inquiring appropriately, but never interrupting. The place was packed, but the service remained top-notch. Always appreciate the warm welcome from Jerry and Debbie. Also, delighted to hear that Kimberley will remain on the CR team!
We took newcomers and they were very impressed with the menu, food, service, and overall atmosphere.
Extensive menu and wine list. Service appropriately attentive but not hovering. Four people spent two hours “catching up” and weren’t rushed. Being near the bar, our location ws a bit noisy.
My husband and I went there this past Saturday night. We are from NY and this was our first time to this restaurant and to NH. Overall, we were impressed and happy with our food and the service. My husband did have to return his vealchop back to the kitchen as it was not cooked to medium as he requested (the chef agreed). We also felt the seafood arancini needed seasoning and you would not know it was seafood unless previously told. The drinks were yummy as was the dessert.
