We had a reservation for 6 at 6:30. Seated late at 6:40. We didn’t get our entrees until 8:55 only when we got up and were about to leave. It was ridiculous. The waitress was very apologetic and this was not her fault. The kitchen was obviously a disaster for whatever reason. We were offered a round of drinks but were literally starving. I got up at over the hour mark and complained to a manager who said she would check on our food. She never came back to our table. Poor customer management to say the least. Never offer a bread basket or a plate of old bay chips they are known for. A huge discount was given on the check but other tables were comped entirety. (The table next to us turned over twice before we got our food.) Will never ever go back or recommend.

We had a 6:30 reservation for 7 people. After a short wait we were seated. Waited 10 minutes to order. Drinks took 20 minutes to receive; appetizers took one hour and one of the main course took 30 minutes after that and the other 6 main courses took 30 minutes more. The waiter and first manager indicated they were very busy and they had no responsibility for the kitchen. A second manager apologized and tried to remedy the poor service by offering a discount, which was not what we wanted. The fact that they were busy is what they want and should be able to handle. As a regular to this restaurant I was appealed at the attitude and the service. They ruined a perfect day/evening and didn’t seem to care. They need “Gordon Ramsey” to review their kitchen operations and training their personnel on how to act and behave and how to talk to customers. Very disappointing.

As usual, the service is consistently attentive. The grilled cheese and tomato soup are the best ever! Great location on the boardwalk. Eating inside or outside has it's own vibes. A perfect beach day treat! I took my fiancé to the shore for his first trip there and would not take him anywhere else but Robinson's! He loved it! Suggestion: offer valet parking, even if it's paid.

The Manager helped to smooth over a snafu in our reservation. We made it online, included our cell and email. I changed/ modified it through the app for outside seating immediately and got a confirmation.I checked repeatedly to make sure everything was good during the day. No notifications. When we arrived the hostess informed us we had an inside reservation. She and her coworker were firm even after explaining that their reservation system was acting quirky and creating issues that day AND noted our outside reservation We were going to leave but asked for the manager. She came right over, reiterated what the hosts said but would honor our reservation this one time and one time only. We enjoyed our patio seating but noted the host’s pouting as well as telling our server what happened ….

I made a reservation for outdoors but was told we would have to wait another 25 minutes to get outside table, which was disappointing. Waiter was friendly and attentive, drinks from bar took a long time to arrive but server was apologetic. Food was very good.

Everything was wonderful, as usual. We were able to reserve an outdoor table & fortunately one was available; however, eating indoors was guaranteed & would have been fine as well!
