   This is some of the best food you'll find In Evanston. The service is excellent. Cosme, our server was very attentive and kind. He even remembered us from our first time there in 2024 around NYE. That is rare, being remembered as a previous customer. Thank you Cosme and The barn.

   Fantastic dinner but we felt rushed to leave and turn the table. Dessert was out of the question. It was a sad end to a nice evening.

   Absolutely enjoyed the Tomahawk, which we split as it was a lot and super delicious. Made for a wonderful special birthday celebration.

   Food and service were top notch - the filet was perfect, and the Brussels Sprouts delicious. Our server, Ben was knowledgeable and the perfect host. Love the option to have a half glass of wine as well! We will return!

   My hubby and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Barn Steakhouse. The strip steak was excellent--we recommend it!

   We were craving good steak, and it did not disappoint! We ordered drinks, both which were good. Then we had the raw oysters that were great (wish you had crackers and cocktail sauce!). My husband got the filet, and it was melt in your mouth! I got the Manhattan cut-which I had never tried. It was really good!!! The potatoes were unusual, but we both ended up loving them. But our favorite part….the brussel sprouts!!! Oh man! They were so good! So glad we found this place and we would definitely come back.

   My wife and I had a fantastic dinner at The Barn Steakhouse and we’re already looking forward to coming back. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the charm of the building—it dates back to 1888 and the decor perfectly balances historic character with a warm, modern vibe. What truly made the night special was our server, Kellie. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made excellent recommendations. Funny enough, she shares the same first name as my wife, which gave them both a good laugh and added a fun, personal touch to the evening. Kellie’s energy and professionalism really elevated the whole experience. As for the food—everything was spot on. We started with the Shrimp Zorine and a Crab Cake, both packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. For our entrées, we shared the New York Strip and the Halibut—a perfect combo of rich and hearty with fresh and delicate. Both were cooked perfectly and complemented each other well. We finished the meal by splitting a slice of Carrot Cake, which was moist, flavorful, and the perfect sweet ending. This place is a gem—delicious food, great ambiance, and standout service. Highly recommend it for a date night or special occasion.

   Second visit. Second excellent meal! Filet perfectly cooked. Love that they use Coravin for some wine BTG.
