Chez Max Palace Street, situated in the heart of Dublin City Centre next to Dublin Castle, invites you to experience its charming French ambience, bistrot, and café. Guests can relax on the front terrace, enjoy the Parisian vintage indoor area, or unwind in the heated back patio.

To reserve a group lunch (for parties of 9 or more) or a group dinner (for parties of 7 or more), bookings cannot be made through this platform. Please email us at chezmaxpalace@gmail.com, and we will provide a form to collect the necessary details. Please note that for the convenience of our guests and to ensure a smooth dining experience, we accept a maximum of two payments per reservation. We regret that we are unable to split bills further.

Reservation timeframes:
**Lunch Seating:** 1 hour 30 minutes
**Dinner Seating:** 1 hour and 45 minutes for reservations at 5 pm, and 2 hours for bookings from 6 pm onwards.

                                                                                          The food was to a good standard, the service was poor. Although initially polite, when it came to attempting to pay our bill, a male waiter insisted we MUST order another course. I informed him more than once that we did not want another course, we were stuck for time. He insisted that I knew there was a two course minimum (I didn’t, and having checked the t&c’s on my OpenTable reservation, I still can’t see anything that would indicate the same?) and would not take no for an answer. He eventually alerted his supervisor who provided us with the bill but she felt it appropriate to insist she was making an exception (more than once). The overall impression was that they were doing us a favour, which is a strange approach considering we bought two main courses + drinks.

                                                                                          Our reservation was at 7pm on a Monday night. I've been here a few times but my 4 guests hadn't. We had escargots, French onion soup and mussels for starters, rib eye steak, seatrout and mussels for main courses, dessert options were a mix of pavlova and mixed desserts. Food was excellent, service great and lovely ambience.

                                                                                          This is a great little gem. I was meeting someone for an informal business lunch. Had the French Onion soup, which was great, and a croque monsieur. They both tasted very authentic French. The staff were very pleasant and the price is very competitive. I've been there a few times this year for both dinner and lunch ... it is becoming somewhat of a favourite!

                                                                                          I love Chez Max. Its back on form with a nice menu with all the classics and a refined wine list. The only downside it the pricepoint for the wine but guess thats too be expected in Dublin.
