Nice outside seating
Amazing service wonderful food delicious. Will definitely be coming back.
Great plates for sharing. Croquettes were a great indulgence. Half price bottles on Monday was a happy little surprise to enjoy with our meal. I would go back for sure.
God service. Good food. Great wine. Trendy ambiance but quiet enough for a business dinner.
Great food and drinks. Service was perfect.
The kale salad is fantastic, but it took too long for our main dishes. Very busy on Saturday night!
The service was amazing! Friendly customer service, would definitely come back!
Took us over one hour to receive our drinks. We had a reservation at 7:30 and did not get out of there until 11PM. All our food and drink came at different times and they forgot about one full meal, without any apologies. The service was terrible and we couldn't hear the person sitting next to us due to the loud volume of the music. Would not recommend!
The food was good, the drinks were good, but the only downfall was the waitress was not attentive, friendly, nor helpful in any way.
Great meal at Portland Variety, was a little disappointed as the menu online had french toast for weekday brunch but was told that it was for the weekend only.
Disappointed that online the lunch menu was unavailable. The website had said 1130-4 for a weekday lunch and my mum was visiting from out of town after a long travel day and was left with no options. The snack menu was the only one available.
Wonderful meal - the octopus is a highlight for sure!
Food ok, service below average, and it was noisy. Came highly recommended but we didn't feel it was anything special. Not returning with so many other places that offer more value for the $$. Didnt get the vibe that we were appreciated as a customer.
I am hoping our server just had a bad night. Food was fine and restaurant was far from busy, but he seemed more interested in chatting with people at the bar than ensuring our service was satisfactory.
Food was delicious but service was mediocre.
The servers are horrible. The two in particular are horrible every single time.
Our meals were messed up, service took forever to be initially helped. We were sassed when we walked in because we made the reservation shortly before.
Our first two times here were good, but this third time was disappointing. The steak that our table ordered was room temperature and when sent back it was allegedly reheated, but came back in one minute and was the same temperature. A new steak was made, but took a long time, so the rest of the group was long done their dinner when it arrived. There was nothing done to compensate.
Rarely write reviews but this time I feel that I should. Food and ambiance of the restaurant was good, but not service. Felt very rushed the entire time, from ordering to finishing food. Waitress was friendly but didn't feel genuinely so. Was given the bill the second after she took our plates away. Also was charged extra for a drink we didn't order, allegedly a mistake from the last table, but my intuition told me otherwise...
Not even a smallest alternation can be done to the meal.
Very small/limited brunch menu.
Always enjoy it but always too bright. Lights need to dim much more.
We had a lovely Monday night anniversary meal at Portland Variety. Their happy hour cocktail list brought us two fantastic, well thought out gin cocktails. Being Monday meant half price bottles of wine, so we indulged in a divine Barbaresco (make sure you ask for it to be decanted for at least 40 mins). We had the meatballs, smoked gruyere croquettes and wood fired octopus with pickled shallots, diced Iberica ham and capers followed by an incredible pasta dish - gnocchi with ricotta, mushrooms and truffles. Fantastic. The service was good. The food was great. Really nice experience. Check it out!
Had a great evening with friends. The staff was friendly and helpful!
For the weekend yes but for the weekdays breakfast no
The staff, food, atmosphere and cocktails are amazing!
Thank you for continuing to amaze!
Always a great experience, first time booked through open table
Loved the food and service was amazing!!
Smoked Trout salad was amazing
Incredible service. Delicious food and wine. Perfect Saturday date with friend.
Great place to go for excellent food, amazing cocktails and good service...Highly recommended.
Was overall pleased with the food, service and atmosphere.
Food was okay - had the seafood pasta and fried cauliflower and it was not worth the price I paid for.
Terrific server and bartender. Very knowledgeable about tequila and whiskey!
Company very mediocre. Meatballs good. Other food not bad.
Fantastic place to grab a few drinks, a few snacks, and hang out for a while. Nice mix of inventive and classics (try the meatballs). Tori, in particular, was a fun and helpful server. Wonderful night, we’ll definitely be back.
Our waitress was wonderful and the food was delicious. Really enjoyed my first experience there.
There was an option of a table for 4 available when I made a reservation. Upon arriving I was told that they were full and that they would call me in about half an hour when a table was freed up. However I never got the call.
Food was a little cold when it got to the table but if you don't order the burger I think that's an avoidable thing. Definitely a place I'd go to again, desserts are amazing and the bread is even better
Wonderful food, great atmosphere, really enjoyable night!
Great service from Tori!!
Felt at home and had a really fun time. Great food and wine
