    Food was outstanding. Veg ceviche was outstanding as were the other dishes we ordered. Loved the corn empanadas. The quinoa bowl with Salmon add on was delicious. Oh- and save room for chocolate cake. Lastly- DRY waiter Brad was a total hoot and great job with recommendations.

    There are few occasions when a restaurant exceeds expectations and the food quality is just over the top delicious. La Mar is that rare combination. I cannot wait to return.

    The menu here is very interesting with a concentration on Peruvian nuevo cuisine. And the food was very good. But be prepared for small portions at inflated prices. It's not a place for people on a budget. The cost of wines on the wine list are particularly overpriced. Service was excellent. We paid $300 for two people, including a bottle of wine and gratuity.

    We sat on the beautiful and tranquil terrace overlooking the water. The food and drinks were at the same high standard they have been for many years and the overall experience was very relaxing. Service was friendly without being intrusive or overly familiar.

    We loved the Cebiche Classico, it is full of flavor, the Nigiris selection was great, especially the Criollo Ahi Tuna, the Empanadas are a must. Don’t forget to leave room for desert and mainly the Tres Leches Cake!

    I don’t know what happen today but service was just off. Food as usual was amazing, but took for ever to get drinks and food to the table. No one came over to at least say something about the delays, server had to be contacted several times to order more drinks/food.

    There was not a table in the house that was not full, so while it was a fabulous dinner and venue, the overcrowding was a bit concerning given we are still living with a pandemic.

    EXTREMELY disappointed in this restaurant!! I book here all the time for Google and you DID NOT meet expectations at all. I was very clear thru several emails and calls to the restaurant indicating this dinner was for high level executives and I ONLY wanted an outdoor space. When they arrived you DID NOT offer an outdoor space and your staff was rude to my executive and the team attending. Food was good but the service will cause me never to book here again for a high level dinner.

    Really slow service. Waitress didn’t take everyone’s order - she would take orders for drinks or food from half of the table then just leave. We asked for water a few times and it never came. Overall just not good service. However the food was good and the ambiance felt nice.

    I have dined here many times and have LOVED this restaurant. However, this time was disappointing. Our food was overall good, but the noise level - on the outside patio - was so loud that it was difficult to hear. There were four of us. Furthermore, our waitress, although very nice, was scattered. We waited a long time for our bottle of wine which was served after our appetizers. The eggplant that two of us ordered was no longer available. The halibut was apparently overdone. The salmon was perfect, but the fresh crab sandwich was not anything special. The length of time to dine seemed like an eternity. We were just very disappointed. However, I believe this was an anomoly rather than the norm and I will return. This is a lovely setting with unique food in an area close to the ferry building. I'll be back....

    It started out great but went a bit downhill after…we had a great experience at the bar waiting for our table (Selena was AMAZING and is a great bartender), but we were seated a half hour after our reservation time (no one bothered to let us know the table was that late). Then we were offered a bad location but were quickly accommodated when we asked for a different table. Food was good overall and our waiter was excellent.     The severs generally did an ok job, but there were significant delays in service. It’s possible that they were very understaffed. The hostess was disappointingly rude and persistently mispronounced my name repeatedly despite being corrected multiple times. Food is off the charts delicious. Bright, lively space.

    The restaurant is really really loud and the quality for the price was pretty off. My drink was expensive and watery (prickly pear margarita). The ceviche was pretty good but the other dishes were mediocre. You’re paying for a cool location here. I would hit one of the many other Peruvian places in the city for better food.

    The food and atmosphere was the best! The service not at all. We had a 7:30 reservation and were not seated until 7:50. By 8:00 we had to get our own menus. Our bottle of wine was not brought to the table but put in between plants and we had to ask for it to be brought to the table. All in all I would return but the service was very bad

    Service was great. Food presentation was excellent and the entrees were good. The only thing was the ceviche. For a place that calls itself cebicheria, the ceviche was not actually that great. It was really chunky and chewy and had barely any acidity. We need to chew some of these chunks for a good full 15 seconds because of the tendons running through the fish. That was pretty terrible.
