Have been to Bistronomic multiple times but have now had the worst experience. Table for 2 within 6 inches of an incredibly loud table of six and just behind a larger 12 party. Service was sketchy and late. Food was good but had the feel of being in a warming drawer all evening. Have recommended this place often, not again.

We visited during restaurant week, so maybe that contributed to the busy-ness. Overall the food was delicious, service was great, but the restaurant is a lil cramped. We were practically sitting on top of the table next to us and our chairs kept hitting each other. Again food and service was great, would definitely go back. But I'm only giving 4 stars because it was just a lil to cramped for comfort.

We had a very good experience. We were seated immediately as we arrived. The wait staff was attentive without being over bearing. The food was on point as and good as expected. I would definitely visit again as well as suggest to other people and clients.

C’était formidable. We booked a table for 8 people, 5 of whom were over 90 and hearing impaired. We were given a wonderful table tucked away in a private room. The waitstaff treated our older friends like royalty. The food and service were outstanding. Lulu, the owner, welcomed us with warmth and kindness. We will definitely return.

We had a reservation & we’re still waiting 25/30 minutes to get seated. Once seated, the waiter took 15 minutes to even acknowledge us, by which point we were ready to order everything. Then our starters came out before our drinks and even the pre dinner bread. Every dish was lacking flavor & underwhelming, but the server wouldn’t know because he didn’t check how our food or experience was once. My partner & I went for the restaurant week which is a discounted rate & still didn’t see the value for money. They had a coat check but then the person monitoring the coat check left for the evening while half the guests were still in the restaurant, so people were just helping themselves to jackets which didn’t make my partner feel at ease about his belongings. We treated ourselves with this night out, of all the places to do restaurant week in Chicago, we chose this one and only restaurant & were very disappointed. We won’t be going back & don’t recommend.

Top notch service is a real draw here. The desserts were delicious. We started with onion soup and it was perfect for a very cold night. The warm welcome set the tone for the evening. Steak poivre was on point but my dining companion was not as pleased with his lamb shank. Sadly the frites were not crisp not hot and I consider great frites a Hallmark of an excellent bistro. Hence the 4 rather than 5 rating.

We went for Sunday brunch and did the Chicago Restaurant week menu. Croque Monsieur was 2 pieces of wonder bread with melted cheese on top and the thinnest most minimal bit of ham ever inside. THis is actually supposed to be a ham and cheese sandwich with Cheese sauce over it that is put in the broiler. Ive made this at home and it was a much more elevated meal. Even the mimosa was not very good. I dont think they put much orange juice in it. For this location it was sort of sad.

We had a lovely time at Bistronomic during restaurant week! The food was spectacular and the service was excellent. My only downside was that we were seated outside. The enclosed outdoor are is pretty and it was VERY warm, so don’t be worried about the cold. I just love the interior of the restaurant and was hoping to be seated there. But overall this was a lovely experience!

We were looking for our favorite French entrees and we’re not disappointed. Probably ordered wrong since we were both eating less meat but couldn’t resist the charcuterie followed by mussels (very large) and lamb shank. Next time we will try items less meaty. Looks like a bistro, smells like a bistro and excellent ambiance. Busy but casual.

Went for the first time via Restaurant Week and will definitely be going back. Very impressed by the culinary offerings from the presentations to the most enjoyable tastes and flavors of the menu! We enjoyed the experience tremendously!

Went for a restaurant week lunch, and the food was very good and a very good value, since it was restaurant week. The service was a little 'off'...took awhile to get the waiter's attention and to get water. My friend ordered tea and the busboy/server brought coffee, didn't understand tea, then brought hot water, but finally brought tea. We had the French lentil salad, mushroom ravioli, and duck confit, and the apple raisin dessert, all good. Our waiter seemed a bit harried. The owner came by twice to thank us for coming, so she probably noticed the service glitch. Lovely room, not too noisy; I'd go back.

Bistronomic is my favorite neighborhood restaurant and, really, one of my favorite places period. The food is always excellent--creative yet consistently well prepared and served. The front of house and wait staff are all great--so friendly and welcoming and "on it" from a service point of view. And, of course, it's just wonderful to have the chef-owner there on premise and visible to the patrons. Kudos!

One of my absolute favorite restaurants. The restaurant is gorgeous and the music playing makes me feel like I’m actually in France. Service is incredible; such kind staff. And the food is phenomenal. Each dish was delicious and exciting to try. The portion sizes were great too, you will leave completely full.
