We all liked it. We had heard good things about it and it was good. I think you should go.
I also don't feel like I need to go back. But, as a reliably good restaurant, I would go back if in the area.
Excellent food and service. We went for brunch and enjoyed our meal. Would definitely return!
Our fav of all times, service is always good, food amazing, true French affair must go! We always come back for more.
Food was great....a nice dining experience. I would definitely recommend.
Wonderful in every respect. Our waiter was absolutely wonderful which complemented the superb supper offerings. Baked Alaska may have been the best, in manageable size and taste, we have ever experienced. 5 star all the way.
Great intimate bistro. The pates are wonderful!
The food was amazing, but I really enjoyed the feel of the restaurant. It set a good tone for my first date with someone. Definitely going to be a recommendation to my friends. One question remains. What are the menus so large lol
We were in from out of town and happy to find this French bistro which was new to us. The food was great and the service staff were just wonderful, coming by to chat in French (to my French speaking husband) and in English to me. We had a great time.
Bistronomic is tres magnifique!
I always leave Bistronomic full and very happy. Not only is the food delicious but the meal presentations are almost artful, the service is non intrusive but caring and very accommodating and the noise level is perfect for intimate conversations.
I have never been disappointed with the food at Bistronomic. Quality ingredients and excellent preparation of meals every single time I've ever visited. Great wine list.
Bravo Bistronomic. Keep up the great work.
This was embarrassing. I took two business associates to Bistronomic for lunch. We all ordered and my two guests received a dish that was barely the size of an appetizer. Service was very slow and inconsistent and the portion sizes were incredibly small. I felt terrible knowing that they were leaving the restaurant still hungry. My nicoise salad was tasty, but also very small and for some reason, they served the arugula in a separate bowl... It was truly uncomfortable and I won't be going back.
My husband and I traveled to Chicago to celebrate our 15th anniversary. Out of all the restaurants in Chicago we decided to return to Bistronomic where we celebrated our 14th anniversary. It is still an amazing place one year later and everyone remembered us. They made our night so special.
We went on a busy afternoon brunch and the place looked very full with large parties ours included. Service wasn’t timely by any means but we weren’t in any rush and were enjoying the bottomless mimosas. Eventually food came out but only 4 of the 7 party members got their food. Food runner was rude and almost aggressively auctioned off the food and was not delicate when placing the plates down. Eventually our sever told us the kitchen had somehow missed the 3 remaining guests food but they would get it to us as soon as possible. I kid you not everyone finished there food and a party member had to leave before we finally got the missing 3 dishes. Server was nice enough and let us continue to drink as food was not yet out in the 1.5 hours we had already been there but it was surprising such a mishap could happen. They ended up hosting a dessert which was nice but it was a little too little too late for us at that point. I doubt I’ll go back
Amazingly fresh and delicious food. One of the best French restaurants I’ve been to. Service was 5 star! Friendly staff that welcomes you like family and makes you feel at home all while making sure your experience is everything you ever imagined!
It was VERY busy and the tables are packed very tight. Service was slow, but attentive and friendly. They were so busy, I think this impacted the service, otherwise I would have given them 5 stars. The food was excellent.
Excellent creative and beautifully presented food and attentive service. The prices are a little high but high-quality food in an expensive area cannot be cheap. The wines by the glass are, however, overpriced.
One of the best places I’ve been in Chicago. Great staff and wonderful food!
Food is Okay but not as good as my last visit when i ordered the same things=
things tasted salty
Bistronomic was great! Good French food in a cozy setting with friendly service.
Very disappointed. Four of us went on a Wednesday evening. Table seating was family style in that there were 2 long rows down the center of the restaurant. There was NO room between tables or conversations from our"friends" on either side of us. Can't imagine the noise level if the restaurant is full.
Ordered the mussels from the appetizer option. The mussels were tiny, the broth without flavor. The portions of the other 3 entrees were skimpy and our friends came away disappointed also.
We were looking for a replacement for recently closed Bistro Zinc. We'll continue looking for a replacement and will not recommend this restaurant to others.
The chicken with truffles for two was absolutely incredible. My husband stated that he never knew chicken could taste so good. Now he wants to send me to culinary school!! Thank you for a wonderful meal.
Great food at reasonable prices for a French restaurant. Martial (owner and chef) does an amazing job. I hav been coming to this restaurant since it opened and it always impresses me for the quality of the food. It is always ranked among Chicago’s best.
One of our favorite restaurants in Chicago. Wonderfully authentic food from wonderfully warm and authentic chef Marcial and staff.
Yummy squash soup and duck confit. Helpful service. Nice cote du rhone. Will definitely go back!
In open at a convention. Come to Chicago fairly often. Food missed the mark. Dishes overpowered by some ingredients. For example lobster dish was overpowered by some type of salami that eliminated the ability to taste other ingredients. Soup if the day overly rich with no hint of the vegetables made with. Bread was good but not warm. Caesar salad described as something special on menu with lemon but no different than any other restaurant. Service was pleasant but left one item out that we ordered but wasn’t charged for it so didn’t complain. Overall nice fold running it but not worth the price.
Food was hit or miss. Onion soup was horrible. the gnocchi was mushy. Service was good. Could have been fantastic, but they just missed on some of the food preparation.
It was our first time. Really liked it. N8ce atmosphere. Very good service and nice food. We has escargot, also tuna salad and steak. Everything was yammy!
Pretty good food but expensive. The best was the seafood pasta. Beet salad was bland.
My son chose this restaurant for a post-marathon dinner and we couldn't be happier that he did. We were seated in the back, which was comfortable and quiet (why do so many restaurants think customers like noise??). I had lamb chops, which were cooked exactly as requested, and extremely good quality. Even though lamb is my favorite meat, my son's Filet Mignon was even better, and my Significant Other had one of the best roast chickens that she's ever had. Overall, a winner.
My new favorite brunch spot! The mimosas are tremendous value. Loved the food. Service was excellent!
What a delight this restaurant was. The owner greeted us warmly at the door. We had the country pate which was delicious. I had the salmon which was perfectly prepared and my husband enjoyed steak and frites, also perfect. Loved this place, felt like being in France.
This is not the usual French sense of welcome. Mechaninal service even when the chef/owner was doing the welcoming. This was my 6 or so time there in as many months and though I have met the chef and talked with him on numerous occasions, not a hint of recognition. Not stylish. Time to read Danny Meyer’s book on hospitality.
Always dependable, well executed, French bistro food. Wait staff always accommodating, friendly, and efficient. I go often!
Consistently delicious. There was a small error with our order that was immediately corrected and handled perfectly.
Bad all around. Would not recommend.
The service was great. I had duck and it wasn’t the best I’ve had. Husband had white fish which was okay. The table are rather close together. Wanted to like it more. Won’t be going back. Service was great.
The food and service here is great! They have the best mimosa special around!
Love this family-owned French restaurant.
I’m allergic to dairy, and I find it infinitely easier ordering food in Paris than at this restaurant. Unnecessary additions of butter and cheese in everything, even in traditional French foods that don’t typically include dairy. How disappointing.
This is a delightful restaurant choice. Food is delicious and creative. We would recommend the Escargot, Country Pate, Filet au Poivre, and Steak Frites, but be sure to save room for their wonderful take on Cheesecake! We will return here for sure.
