The selection of brunch options were fantastic. I recommend the Brioche french toast. The Grand Marnier Liquer was not overwhelming and just the right amount of orange accent. If eggs are part of your brunch routine, the Wild mushroom omelette was prepared to perfection. Full of flavor, light as a feather and a hint of truffle oil.

Wonderful meal with the exception of the cream brûlée. This is a very comfortable French bistro with a menu that you would expect. At times felt like we were in France. Waiter was busy so the service was compromised but he made an effort to take good care of us. Will return.

The staff and management here are always extremely cordial and treat us as valued guests. Today's meal did not live up to what I've come to expect from past visits. The gnocchi entree was almost entirely sauce; I think I counted five gnocchi swimming in an ocean of sauce that could have covered a pound of gnocchi. My lamb shank, while tasty, was mostly bone, and very little meat. My guest was disappointed in his steak entree, which he found extremely tough. I fear that with rising costs, restaurants are cutting corners and cutting back.

We eat here every time we travel to Chicago. While it is often too boisterous (loud) inside, the "porch" tables in the covered are near the door are quiet, a nice addition. There are also more outdoor tables now. One is always made to feel welcome on arrival. Our waiter was knowledgeable and helped with the wine and food selections. The food was excellent (endive salad with blue cheese, coq au vin, duck with cherries) and the Cotes du Rhone quite nice. The creme brulee with chocolate on the surface (shared) was just right for dessert. Next time we're dining at Bistronomic we'll try the prix fixe menus. Looks like quite a bargain at less than $50 per person.

My wife and I have lived in Chicago a long time. We enjoy the restaurant scene. We visited Bistronomic a few years ago -- and then we did no go back for awhile. Wow -- we waisted some time. We have returned on a regular basis and Bistronomic has become one of our favorites. Good food, excellent service. We will return often!
