Everything we ordered was first rate, from the flower salad, mushroom tart as starters, to the chicken paillard and spaghetti ala vongole as mains, to the decadent chocolate ganache with cherry swirl and cherry ice cream. Not sure what our server's name was (Evelyn?) but she as well as all the wait staff were efficient and knowledgeable, besides being very pleasant. And the views can't be beat, which is an added bonus of being in a museum.

What a wonderful place to eat - especially before or after wandering around the museum! The room is beautiful. The service is warm and welcoming. The menu has delicious choices with a winning wine list. I'd say everything was perfect. This is a great choice anytime!

Lunch at the Met dining is an essential part of our Met experience. It’s always a lovely time with great food, ambience and service beginning at check in and continuing through the meal service. It’s the perfect place to get together with family and friends. It’s special without being stuffy or fussy.

Although quieter and more elegant before the remodel 4 years ago, food and service are excellent again, after a period of lower standards. Our waitress anticipated all our needs, friendly but not intrusive. One negative: not for the first time, we experienced a very long wait between the first and second course, and again between the main course and desert. All in all, a lovely meal in a light-filled room with views to Central Park

The dining room is a great respite after intense and wonderful viewing of the Met's art. The lunch options are terrific, the servers friendly and excellent, and the space quiet, calm, and beautiful.

Excellent service, Food and wine superb Five people four different meals all excellent. Had great server, Michael , awho made the experience very efficient and pleasant .

Rather pedestrian food at somewhat high prices for the quality. The spaghetti Vongole was ridiculously over priced for a small portion. The chicken palliard is a good sized portion, but was somewhat overcooked. The rolls were very stale.

The food was delicious though small portions for the price. The service was terrible — we sat for more than 45 minutes before our food was served, ten minutes beyond the “it’ll be out in two minutes “ from the waiter. On top of that, the food was tepid so it had clearly been sitting out for a while. One of us ordered a well-done hamburger that came medium rare. Requests for more water had to be repeated again and again. When we complained to the manager, he was curt and barely apologetic. As a Met retiree entitled to a discount, I got a grudging acknowledgment and a less than gracious “we’ll honor” that. On the up side, the hostess was delightful, horrified at our treatment and very apologetic.
