   Stopped for Sunday lunch , which was first class. The chap that looked after us was very good , very friendly and attentive. We weren’t rushed and very much enjoyed our leisurely 4 hour lunch . Looking forward to returning soon .

   As always, one of our favourites! Food was delicious, the team there are always so accommodating and lovely. If you haven’t been, I would 100% recommend popping by… especially for their caviar and truffle hash browns or even for a Sunday roast! We will be back soon!

   Food - simply stunning. We had the chicken butter bread for starters, the Beef Wellington and Pie of the day for mains, then the Tarte Tatin for desert. In short, all the food was incredible. Service - this is where we felt let down. Was very busy and every table was full but constantly had to chase staff for orders, drinks and waited a long time for food. The lady in charge was brilliant and was apologetic but feel it could be absolutely incredible with this improved

   Good, but should be a lot better for the price. Our food was flavoursome but both meals and all the sides were luke warm. We also had to wait 25 mins for our dessert as the server forgot to put it through to the kitchen. As we entered the restaurant, we encountered several customers complaining to the hosts about their tables not being ready. It all felt a bit chaotic and didn’t bode well for the rest of the meal.

   I am gluten and lactose free and usually miss out on certain food. I had the fish and chips, which were the best my partner and I have ever eaten. Fantastic food, very impressed and will definitely return.

   Love this place, great food, relaxed and not too formal. Attentive, knowledgeable staff with a sense of pride in what they and the restaurant do. Lucky to have this so close to us

   Service was absolutely amazing. Fillet steak could have been a little more cooked through / flavoursome but the Ribeye my partner ordered was fantastic. Overall a lovely experience.

   We stayed one night at the pub and arrived able to check in immediately. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The food, service, range of options of drinks, everything was simply perfect! We will return.

    Very friendly restaurant, staff efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. Good menu choice with a few specials, all dishes were excellent, some of the dishes were expensive (eg tarte tatin £30), but overall reasonable, particulalry given the location. Wine list on the pricey side too, but again not surprising given the location. Glad we came.
