Waitress was very pleasant. Room attractive. Food was well prepared - when it finally came. Expensive - $26 hamburger (although we choose not to have the many toppings). Major issue was that we waited an hour before our salads arrived, followed by more time till our main courses arrived. No one could explain why our food was delayed.

This is our fourth visit to S & P. The food and service were excellent. Gathering before theater on Saturday night, we experienced a higher noise level than previously. But, the delicious food and wine pairings more than made up for the slightly elevated enthusiasm among patrons at S& P.

Our server did a great job keeping track of all kinds of shared plates. Some of what we shared was delicious. I was disappointed that the steak was a bit tough. It’s a great scene, very friendly, not my favorite but I’d give it another go.

We have visited before and absolutely love the food. Normally we don’t have problems with service, but this time our server was absent for the entire meal once he took our order and he also forgot two of the sides we ordered.

Not recommended for Valentine's day dinner. Prefixed menu sas never showed prior online, meaning if we didn't like what we saw, would not have booked the reservation. The host and the wait staff where either borderline rude or clueless to what's going on. Food portions for the prefixed were barely a tasting menu. Also, everything came out as available. Appetizers and desserts took less than 5 minutes, whereas we had to wait for over an hour to get the main course.

We enjoyed a really nice dinner. We had the grilled octopus and calamari appetizer, the impossible burger and the ricotta gnudi with lobster, which were all delicious, well prepared and beautifully presented. We also sampled several wonderful cocktails including the Manhattan on tap, Old Fashioned, Negroni, and Fig Sazerac. Comfortable and cozy ambiance with the horse theme. Attentive and courteous service. Will definitely be back!

Saxon + Parole is one of my favorite brunch spots. The ambience/decor is great, the food is always exceptional (French Toast stuffed with house-made Nutella? House-made whiskey jam? DIY Bloody Mary Bar? So. Good.), and I've always had good service. Highly recommend.

As always, Saxon and Parole delivered an excellent evening for myself and 7 other college friends! Wine and the Holy Cow absolutely stunned the crowd... staff was great, the digs are beautiful and the bar was lively as always.

I've been here for dinner before with a wonderful food & dining experience, so was strongly disappointed with the brunch. The food options were limited by what was not available, plates came out in spread out timing... but the server was wonderful and attentive in the process. Love the space, but wouldn't return for brunch unfortunately.

The service was awful. The waiter took so long to get our order even thought we told him we were ready, had to ask for things more than once, and he would disappear for long periods of time and all his tables around us were as lost and needing him. Our water glasses were empty and no one would come around to refill, had to ask for water everyone. I won’t visit again due to the lack of service

We have always wanted to try Saxon + Parole and decided NYE was the perfect night to do so. Unfortunately, we were just completely underwhelmed by everything. We split the NY strip with truffle butter add on, the fries, and the crispy brussel sprouts. Everything was just fine. Not great, just good. We also each got a cocktail to start and a drink with dinner, but each one was $16-$18, which is just totally overpriced for what they were. I wouldn't come here again. If I spend $200, I expect to be blown away, which we were not. Service was also just ok - took a while to get the check and when they finally did run the card, they returned the check without our credit card which we spotted on the ground by the server's station. It had fallen out. Not a huge deal but after the underwhelming meal, kind of just secured our opinion that S+P is overrated.

Service could of been better. Was not to attentive as the waiter was busy with two big parties seated next to us. Shame on that. Hostess should of seated us somewhere else if this was the case

I love the food here but today it was quite slow getting from the kitchen to our table, but more distressing was the portion size. I mean, I don't expect portions like I'm in the south or the midwest, but come on! All jaws at the table were agape when the food finally arrived. Disappointing. We left hungry. I *want* to love this place and have in fact really enjoyed it in the past. But with so many other restaurants to choose from in NYC, I don't think I'll be going back to S&P. Not unless I hear they increase portion sizes so I get something for my hard-earned money.

Wonderful meal (try the impossible burger!). Even better service! The only downside is that our party of 5 was seated in a booth in the bar area. The music was very loud, so conversing was difficult. Other than that, great place!

Room was very cold and the space heaters were a good idea, but there were none by my table. My friend was dairy free and ordered a burger. The bun had dairy so the burger arrived with out any bread and we then had to wait for that situation to be corrected. Other than that the food was good and all the brunch cocktails were delicious.

S&P has a really lively vibe which is fun. The hosts could not have been nicer - high, high marks for them - they were incredibly accommodating. Food was really solid - highly recommend the Impossible burger, octopus and lamb. Service was quite slow and impersonal which let it down but everything else was good enough I would give it another chance.
