What Insiders Are Saying
Casa Enrique is home to the best Mexican food in New York City, and we bet you've never heard of it. Time to get acquainted with Long Island City.
Amazing food. Fabulous price. Great service. Kids friendly and great for special occasions
This place had authentic Mexican food and attentive service.
I love this restaurant... the service is great and the food is amazing!
A quality out of the way authentic Mexican restaurant that has it all - interesting menu options, wonderful service and staff, and of course - food that looks, smells and tastes fantastic!
Plain and simple, it was Phenomenal.
Amazing food and service, been here twice and it's consistently good
Absolutely delicious food, great margaritas and extremely clean! Well deserved Michelin Star
Always a great experience!
Amazing food and experience on our first visit in NYC. Will definitely recommend to other friends!
Really nice place! Vivid, excellent service, nice ambiance, great food, not too small not too big.
Come here for very tasty food and wonderful margaritas. Do not come for kind waitresses. On balance, an experience worth repeating
By far the best Mexican I’ve had in New York (and better than almost all I’ve had in Mexico!!). It’s so great every time I go. I especially love the tres leches cake, but all the food and drinks are incredible and the service is always great!
The food is simple and delicious, and the service, perfect!
The food is very traditional. Good for whom are looking for a traditional mexican food.
such a good mexican spot. mexican is usally over priced in NYC and I love this place. Lamb was delicious and so fresh!
Great elevated Mexican food. Guacamole was excellent. Drinks were creative. I ordered the the special of pork & fruit stuffed poblano chile which was honestly the best item on the menu. The tres leches cake was rich and decadent. Will definitely be back.
I've been to Mexico and this is the best Mexican food I've ever had. The Mole is especially good, one of the most unique and complex flavors of any food, and this restaurant nails it. Waitstaff are incredibly attentive (my water glass never went below halfway full). This restaurant could probably charge twice what it does for everything and I'd still go.
A good restaurant. Considering all the hype, we expected a much better dinner and ambience
I took my 12 year old stepdaughter to this restaurant. Everything we ate was delicious and each dish was full of interesting flavors and a colorful presentation. I now will be unable to eat Mexican inspired food anywhere else because I was completly spoiled at Casa Enrique.
Food is good but in my opinion is pricey!
We loved our meal at Casa Enrique. We had the spicy guac, chorizo sopecitos- so many layers of flavors on just one bite, mole de piaxtla, so tender & sweet & the lamb shank was out of this world. Portions were great and service outstanding.
Its Michelin star is well deserved. The crowds attest to it best Mexican food around.
Outstanding food and really welcoming place! We felt like we were being taken on a journey by the chef and everything blew us away.
Mole was so good! if you like Mexican food, this is a must in NY! is worth the trip to new hip LIC
Th cuisine is consistently delicious. The appetizers are a bit pricey ,but delicious. Keep up the good work!
Great food and excellent service!
Casa Enrique is the best authentic Mexican restaurant in NYC. Very good flavors and very good service. I can’t get tired of eating there!
The food, the margaritas, and the service were excellent as usual, but the chili relleno and the ice cream made the nightmare weekend subway travel worth it.
Great experience and food. One of our go-to spots in LIC.
Perhaps all the rave reviews skewed my expectations but I thought the food was just simply good. We had Sopecitos de chorizo, Rajas con crema, and a special tostadas with crab, as well as the enchiladas de pollo con mole de piaxtla. The food was a little expensive for what it was, good but not great. The Aguachile Margarita was delicious so maybe a margarita and some guacamole at the bar is the way to go. The service at our table can best be described as annoying. A hovering food runner/busser who filled our water glasses when barely an inch was gone, more than once trying to remove our plates when we were not finished eating basically telling us hurry up the next dish is coming, gesturing at my margarita glass because he wanted me to pick it up so he could wipe under it, wiping our table over and over again with what looked like a dirty blue rag. What a buzz kill. Don't know if this over-solicitous service is what management had in mind or if this particular employee just needs to be re-trained. Maybe it seems a petty complaint (some might say it's better than being ignored) but this employee's constant presence at our table just made me want to finish our food and go somewhere else. Needless to say, didn't stay for dessert.
A very nice Restaurang and gentle staff, this can go very well if they continues like this !
This place was 5 star all around with everything from service to food
A warm friendly restaurant with great margaritas and wonderful food. The staff was very caring and they have created a fun environment.
I've eaten mexican food in mexico (Mexico City, Puebla, Cholula etc) so I know what authentic mexican tastes like. This was americanized mexican, which is fine. It tasted great on its own but as a comparison-meh. but let me not be the snob here.
I love this place. I am Mexican. This is authentic, made with good taste and my favorite spot in the entire city. Cosme has created a pozole that can challenge any good mexican restaurant.
Love this gem!!! Perfect ambiance, great food and impeccable service.
Worth a trip to Queens for. Fantastic flavours, nice atmosphere and friendly service. Special blueberry and coconut mojito was very good too.
It was really good and well made food i would absolutely return
