Great service from beginning to end. The food was spectacular. I went for brunch and the portions were really substantial for their price. Try the mimosas!!!
Hummus is always my favorite part of the meal. Its sooooo good! If youre a fan of citrus, paloma is a delicious cocktail to wash down a deliciously satisfying brunch dish. Waiters are very patient and willing to adapt to your needs and wants. Just wish it was a bit quicker service.
Eating indoors, there’s not much of a view. Service was a bit slow, the food good. The noise level made it hard to have conversation. I had imagined that the “Art Bar” would be a bit more artsy.
We wanted to have brunch with out of town guests and I had a hard time finding a place that would take reservations at the time we needed. I was able to make a reservation at ArtBar. We were seated in a room with a large party of guests who wandered in and out of the room and stood around talking in groups. It was very loud! Our server seemed to forget about us, never refilling coffee or checking to see if everything was okay. I ordered French Toast. It tasted good, but was barely warm. Might be willing to give it another try, but not likely.
Minimal decor, excellent food. Nice outdoor seating only in season. Otherwise no real water view
45 minutes to get a burger, and even then they got the order wrong. Another 15 mi uses to get the replacement burger.
Was gonna have a business dinner there that night but decided against it based on experience.
Have been to the ArtBar many times. Love the outdoor space in nice weather. Inside can get kind of noisy if there are large party’s in the room. Great menu choices including gluten free. Service is great very attentive. We have gone there for lunch and let the server know we had to be out in a certain amount of time and she was great.
Nicely nestled near the water, so it offers a scenic view of the city while you dine. The food and waitstaff were both great.
The information on Open Table states that there is a discount for parking. This only applies if you stay for more than 2 hours. Our discount amount was 0.
We went for Sunday Brunch. We were seated outside as requested and it was a beautiful Morning.
However, the service was slow and our food orders, all 3 of them, were missing some component as listed in the menu.
My “light fare” breakfast burrito came with home fries instead of fresh fruit. I did mention this error to the waiter and he did get me a cup of fruit.
The hash with poached egg should have had some sort of toast but there was none. I gave my home fries to this diner. Our 3rd diner ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich. It had eggs and cheese but was missing the bacon or any meat. Because the service was so slow, we didn’t ask for the toast or meat. We asked for water refills, but we ended up getting the pitcher from the server’s station and refilling our own.
The outdoor seating was quiet and perfect for our needs. Everything else about the dining experience here was lacking on this day. Perhaps they were understaffed on Labor Day Sunday?
I had a client for lunch. We sat indoors as it was too hot to sit outdoors. We could not hear each other speak let along think. The wait staff offered to move us into the lobby which was a nice try but we didn’t feel much better and were finished anyway. Not a good venue for a business lunch indoors unless other diners are quiet.
Had an outstanding Saturday family brunch outing to celebrate my birthday. The waitress overheard my daughters wishing me a happy birthday as they arrived and surprised us with a complimentary dessert that was very artfully done and delicious. We all enjoyed the meals and drinks we ordered as well.
Incredible service, food, and drink. Server and manager went above and beyond for us and the experience was amazing! Definitely coming back!
Overall lovely experience but we were disappointed that our appetizer didn't come before our entrees but came with our meal
Lots of food for a reasonable price. Didn’t get to sit outside on the water front but definitely would have liked to. Inside seating is less nice.
Came here with a friend for restaurant week! Everything was delicious!
AC was way too high that I literally froze at the table. Some of the menu items are a bit made up, what are the parisian gnocchi? Don t exist.
The octopus salad was not that great and different from expected.
Salmon was good!
We were there for dine out week in boston so price was ok otherwise may be too expensive.
I love the decor with modern art but overall not one of my fave.
They where very short staff. Only had 1 bar opened and it took 30-45 mins to get a drink. The food didn’t have any seasoning except for the chicken wings. Told them we was Celebrating a birthday and they didn’t even knowledge it. I will not be back. The hotel is very nice.
Great ambiance along the river, terrific live music, only downside was inattentive service.
Was my first time dining for restaurant week and I couldn’t have been more satisfied with my overall experience! Great drinks, food and service
Nice bartender, nice view, nice beers on tap, good date place
This restaurant had a great menu and the food that we received was good. Unfortunately, the Humus appetizer arrived after our main dishes, the side or one diner was mixed up and not replaced until after we were done eating and the salmon I ordered to go with my salad was never delivered. (Though all was billed.)
Then, after all the trouble, I get a message that the reservation was not eligible for point credit? Won’t be back!
The outdoor seating and the view is great. They had live music and over all it was a great experience.
Monday night with a great little quartet plus Sinatra-esque singer. Wonderful sound, outdoors.
Service was good. Food mediocre
This was a favorite brunch place with a nice view of the river from the outdoor patio. They have recently spoiled the serene atmosphere of the patio with Sunday loud live music that makes conversation impossible. Too bad. it is no longer on our favorites list.
Went for brunch on Saturday in the summer. Great views, ok food, but overall a hotel restaurant. Not much to look forward to if you aren’t sitting outside.
Table of 9 (two families with kids age 10-20) sat outside for breakfast on a picture perfect Saturday in July, just before a Duck Tour. Food was very good. Service was excellent. The server was very friendly and attentive. One meal came late and was taken off the bill without even asking. Nice view and location.
We had brunch. The life music was good. Food was good too, except the wait service was very bad. We ordered:
1. cesar salad with no anchovies, it came with the anchovie. Then it arrived 25 minutes later only after we asked about it.
2. 3 eggs omlette without cheese, it came with cheese.
3. Order hash brown, did not arrived. When asked, french fries came instead.
4. Order yogurt and granola, had to asked for it before it arrived.
5. Had to ask for croissant twice.
Almost every thing we orderedd had to ask for them again. We flagged down the bus boy or hostess for help. Finally someone as our table talked to the front desk.
Service was really slow but, one of our waiters went out of their way to make sure our drink looked amazing! He’s was awesome! Poutine was amazing also!
The food was awesome--our waitress was trying so hard. It seemed the manager was new or lacked social awareness and was confusing the situations. One of the individuals in our party went out of her way to be difficult so hard to know where the real opportunity was. Our waitress, however, went out of her way to fix any opportunities. I'll definitely be back for the view, drinks, and food.
We had planned to sit on the patio - but the wind picked up and sat inside. A mistake. The AC was blasting and the entire group even with jackets were freezing. Food was exceptional. We had the wings, calamari and tuna tar tar to start. Everyone enjoyed. Meals arrived hot and at the same time. Services was attentive and helpful. Would recommend for lunch when the sun is shining.
I ordered the "make your own" omelette with mushrooms, bacon, and cheddar. It came out with mushrooms only. There were birds all over the patio eating food off of tables that had not been cleared in a timely manner, and one even landed on a woman's head. Our waiter was very nice, but the service was slow. My friend at the blueberry ricotta pancakes and they were to die for!
Does NOT take reservations for outdoors, which was an unpleasant surprise. Outdoors was overloaded and everything took a lot of time. Food was meh. Location is great though...
We come to ArtBar to celebrate our anniversary each year and also in the summer to enjoy the patio seating. This year, we noted significant renovations to the indoor area and the new layout is great. Our server went above and beyond to make the evening memorable, greeting us with drinks and wishing us Happy Anniversary. The manager stopped by as well once we had our food to ensure everything was great. The food was delicious. We started with the burrata, which was soft and creamy. I had the ArtBar burger and it is definitely one of my favorite burgers I've had in my life . I had to have it cooked medium well (pregnant), but the burger was still juicy and tasty and came with toppings that just made it perfect. The sweet potato tatertots are fun and very yummy, not too salty or greasy. My spouse had the scallops and said they were very fresh and cooked perfectly. I can't wait to come back this summer to enjoy more of the great food and hopefully get out on the patio (it was raining when we went).
Way too noisy even with only a couple other tables. Acoustics are terrible
Three of us went on early Saturday evening, before a play. The service was a little slow (they seemed a bit overwhelmed by the crowd that showed up when we did). The food was good, not great. The fish tacos were cooked and presented well; they could have used more spicing. The pappardelle with truffles was excellent. The burger was fair.
Despite having reservations and being there on time, we were sat in a room by ourselves with zero ambiance where all the cereal and whatnot from their brunch bar was set up. I felt like I was dining at a dingy hotel chain on a Tuesday morning. This alone deserves the one star considering the reservation we had.
Our drinks were subpar: he ordered an old fashioned that tasted sour and watered down, I ordered a Paloma off their drink menu— too sour to drink. Both drinks had tiny little ice cubes like you’d get out of a hotel ice machine— shameful. We didn’t even drink them after a couple sips.
Burger was ok; bun was good but meat wasn’t really seasoned. Fries were soft. Calamari was crunchy but marinara tasted like it was from a jar. Wings app was good— nice and crunchy with a little tang to them.
Waitress was pleasant and attentive.
I imagine if you are out on the deck in the summer it’s nicer, but overall the biggest let down was the ambiance and the drinks were inexcusable. Won’t be going back.
Small restaurant. Good parking across the street in galleria mall. Fish tacos were not good (don't order) but the pasta with Mushrooms I think is the best dish I've ever had EVER. Can't wait to go back for that. Waiter was nice.
Let me start by saying, the food and service here were very good. My boyfriend and I were staying in the hotel for our anniversary and made reservations here on the last day to grab brunch before we left. We were very pleased with wait staff, the drinks, the food. However, this is NOT a restaurant. The hotel has clearly converted a conference room/banquet hall into a dining space. The kitchen was hidden behind a shoji screen. The overall experience was quite bizarre. While it was fine considering we were already at the hotel, I doubt I would ever go back to just the "restaurant" again.
