    As a steak lover, I was truly looking forward to a Chicago nostalgia steak place. This was certainly one. However, I ordered my steak medium rare and my server tried to talk me into going to medium instead. Weird thing to do. I think people should order their steaks the way they should be consumed and not ruined by a server. I firmly, yet politely repeated medium rare. He did not seem to like me very much after that. Food was great regardless.

    The filet mignon is wonderful, particularly paired with shareable sides like mushrooms and asparagus. The fried calamari is a great appetizer. Be sure to check out the baseball memorabilia and the Frank Nitti memorabilia! The restaurant is practically a museum as well.

    As always, an excellent experience. Lupe took great care of me. The toasted ravioli, filet and sweet corn brûlée were all delicious. Then topped it off with strawberry cheesecake. All around wonderful.

    We’ve been there several times. The steaks (filets) were not as good this time as previous. Bruschetta was awesome.
