IF YOU ARE GLUTEN-FREE, GLUTEN INTOLERANT, OR CELIAC (like two of the people in our party) NEVER dine here!! They are not safe. They do not follow safety protocols. And ultimately they do not care about you. They indicate recipes and dishes that can be made gluten free, such as the pasta, but they do not follow through and will still serve gluten meals. As we ordered we indicated having a gluten allergy and ordered them when the food arrived we clarified with the server that this dish was gluten free which they said yes. As we were finishing our meal another server stopped by and questioned why we were eating the gluten version of the meal!!! Bc we didn't know?! They only offered an apology & they were not genuine about the situation. We will never be returning and this is not safe if you have any allergies.

Great spot! We went there for brunch and almost everything was amazing. The breakfast burrito lacked some flavor. Service was wonderful. Would definitely go back and try something new.

I highly recommend this spot during weekdays. It has an incredible ambience + great food + rich cocktails! It can be a little chaotic during the weekends and holidays due to its perfect background for a lush brunch. I give 5 stars for each visit.

The food was good, but not exceptional. OpenTable lists it as <30/person, but most entrees are over 30 and are ala carte. They leave the windows and doors open after sunset with seemingly no heat source, so be prepared to keep your jacket on through dinner. The service is very slow. It took us about 45 minutes to get our food. I probably won’t go back, but if I did, I’d make sure it was a warm, sunny day- you’re definitely paying for the beach vibes. The highlight was actually the valet service. Very friendly and speedy!

Showed up on time for our 6:30 reservation. They had no table ready. Took 20 minutes to get a table for us that ended up being a four top with a seat on the end. Service very slow. Didn’t get our first food until 7:45.

Something must have happened in the kitchen as our food took maybe 45 minutes to come out? It was all correct which was nice but there was no explanation and it’s always weird when tables sat after you are paying their bill before your food comes.

We went to The Sunset for Valentine's Day and for the most part had a nice romantic dinner. Service for the most part was acceptable with the restaurant being crazy busy. The view of the beach was great, cocktails were terrific. My wife's entree was delicious but our only complaint was the NY steak cut that I had ordered was mostly fat, but the parts that weren't fat were tasty. We'd definitely come back again.

We used to love this place, we were so disappointed! Especially on Valentine’s Day. We were rushed to leave from the moment we sat down, and have never experienced such rudeness and were so uncomfortable we couldn’t enjoy our food. We ordered salads to start and then risotto, and from the moment our salads landed a woman appeared at our table saying that we needed to let her know when she could bring our next course. We said okay thinking it was a little strange, then less than 10 minutes later she was back at our table asking if we were done with our salads, which we weren’t. She then returned a third time, 6 minutes later while my wife was still finishing her salad and told us she was bringing the risotto! We felt watched and rushed, it was awful! She then came back AGAIN while we were eating our risotto, like she was literary trying to get us out the door as quick as possible! We were there under an hour total!! Very unpleasant and we will not be back and not recommend. This lady needs to advised that her customer service is horrible.

After a gorgeous beach hike the four of us ate lunch here at a gorgeous view window table. All of our food was delicious. I had had the shrimp tacos here before so ordered them again. The rest ordered fish tacos, French fries and allegria salad. The tacos were all filled to the brim with jumbo pieces of shrimp or barramundi. Perfectly cooked! The fries were thin & crispy. The salad was tasty and light. Overall a wonderful lunch after a terrific Valentine’s morning hike.

It was literally one disaster after the other.... the service was astonishingly poor. The waiters were literally standing around talking and joking to themselves rather than taking care of orders, refills or even asking if their is anything else we needed. The food came out all at once, including appetizers with main course. We never got our bread, though we asked 3 times. They forgot to put in my 8 year Olds order all together.... they forgot the sweet potato fries, never brought my refill of coffee... at all... they apologized hand over fist from the moment we sat down, but the service just went further downhill. At the very end, we ordered a slice of carrot cake to share and even it came to the table gelatinous and frozen. It was quite the epic disaster. Granted they took all of the appetizers, the drinks and the desserts off the bill but it was the attitude from our waitress coupled with the over all disinterest from the rest of the staff that was the most appalling. I have to say, the highlight of the lunch was how kind and courteous the valet parkers were.

We arrived at 4:30 pm , 30 minutes before our reservation and checked in with the host, so we could have a drink at the bar. The bartender was slammed. I had an espresso martini. It was delicious. I assumed that since we had checked in that they would have our table ready for our 5:00 reservation. The host said he didn’t have anything except to sit outside or a table in the other room. We took the table inside. The server was stressed and seemed overwhelmed. We were not in any hurry, but she seemed to want us to hurry up and order everything at once. We had the grilled octopus and seared scallops for appetizers. The octopus was perfectly done and very tender. The single order was plenty for the two of us. The scallops were fine. I ordered the king salmon for dinner. It is a healthy portion. It was so moist and flavorful. My husband had the taco trio. Again, the portions are healthy. Our favs were the white fish and the lobster. Each of the (salsas) on each taco were just what you’d want. We were too full for any dessert. We loved the food, we understood that the place was busy, and we’d like to come back for lunch sometime.

A classic, wood framed "old school" beachfront restaurant. The employees are SO pleasant and happy to accommodate your desires. Its at a quiet end of the road, directly looking out on the sand (and sea). The food is solid, if not exceptional, but perfect for the setting, especially after a day on the beach, climbing rocks or hiking. So happy to have discovered this little gem. I will definitely be back.
