We started out our meal at the bar during their “Golden Hour”. We ordered a dozen oysters but only 11 arrived on the platter. When we recieved our bill, two of our wines were at full price, and not the “Happy Hour prices posted. After the corrections, we proceeded to the restaurant and had a great meal with good service

What a wonderful experience! We celebrated a birthday and couldn’t have asked for a better location with great food and service. Shaunté, our server, was delightful. She made us feel so very special and was attentive and offered great suggestions about the menu. Overall, we had a great time and we look forward to celebrating more milestone at the Castaway!

I had a reservation at 4pm. I was about 15 min early and they told me they couldn’t sit me until 4, which is fine. I checked in with them and apparently I was on a speed list to be sat even with a reservation . They told me to go back to the bar and they would come get me. They didn’t come get me they sent me a text message. Even though I had seen them come get a party right next to me, but for my party I was sent a message. I was finally sat 15min after my reservation. Location was beautiful. I was grateful that they accommodated me and sat me outside. The food was ok but it was not great. We ordered the oysters and before I could ask which ones were East and West the server left, they were also quite fishy which concerned me and made me think they weren’t fresh. The cornbread was good and my parents didn’t complain but they typically don’t like to complain. I ordered the steak and I think it had been sitting out, the outside of it was dry and it was warm at best. The service was really slow our server was polite but would disappear. No complaints on the drinks. Overall I would think twice about coming again. The service is an important part of my dining experience.

This was the one of a few places that I expected excellence in almost everything but sadly this was not the case. I went for a Sunday Brunch, to celebrate my bday. I made reservations for 11am for 3. We were seated within 5 minutes but once we got seated we waited over 20 minutes for the server to come to our table and that was only after I got up to let the manager know that we have been waiting for a long time without even water being served. Once the server came to get our order we still waited about another 30 minutes for our drinks to be brought and it was just a mimosa and a plain coffee and again after I flagged down the manager. The food and drink itself were perfect. I wouldn't have minded so much the extra long wait if I've had my drinks early on since I did ordered bottomless mimosas. Sadly, I couldn't order as many since they came out at the same time as the food. The manager did come and apologized and said he would take care of us but other than him giving me his card he didn't do much, not even a free drink as an apology. My reservations did say we were celebrating my bday but nothing was said to me about it. I was quite disappointed especially bc of the type of restaurant this is and it wasn't busy when we got there. Four other parties were seated after us within the 30 minutes we sat waiting and waiting and they were all served and were already eating while we didn't even have water.. The view was amazing though.

Tonight’s dinner of a massive amount of seafood with a view to die over was so good! Vegetarian options: There were only a couple truly vegan options, but we augmented the salad to have no cheese and a different dressing. Would love to come here again and see what can be made without butter or cream/milk sauces. Definitely want to try the tofu options next time.

The food is mediocre but the ambiance and view are great which is why we come to this restaurant. The jalapeno cornbread is terrible and better bread needs to be provided that appeals to more than just a specific taste. The steaks could be better quality. Service was good.

Was charged all the wrong items from another table. They don’t show the receipt up front just how much it is. Once paid I asked for the receipt to be texted. Once I got home and read the bill I noticed the errors. I called no answer. I messaged on Instagram no answer. Disappointed at this and the food was underwhelming and over priced. Very different experience than the first time I went. Decline is very noticeable since 2019.

Food was all excellent. The shortrib and the salmon were both amazing. Seating and service were a tad slow, but it was a very busy (Thanksgiving) evening, and really not a big issue under the circumstances. The big, big problem was the music. It was blasting so loudly that I couldn’t hear the people at my own table or the waiter unless they shouted. My ears were ringing when we left.

Our Server K was not very experienced or out of her league - she did not offer us bread and when we asked for it, she made sure that she said "yes, we offer bread, and it is complimentary". Our food was late, very late, yet they managed to get it to us warm. Our server never offered us the thanksgiving dinner, she said they only had it at brunch; yet the next table over being served by another waiter offered it to his clients - strange :-(.

My mom, fiancé, and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal at Castaways this year. The food was delicious. The service was great and Braxton the manager was particularly impressive as he served champagne and chatted with us. One of the best experiences I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. I highly recommend it. I’m still thinking about that charcuterie board yum!

Overall we had a nice experience. My sons loved their steaks ( said it was the best meat they ever had!) My husband didn’t care for his turkey dinner (it was thanksgiving), and my fish was very tasty! The charcuterie boards they served as first course were yummy, but the dessert one only had a couple of things we liked, but we were very full anyway! The Castaways is totally remodeled and is very nice, however the carpet was worn out already and was duct taped down near where we sat.

Im commenting on the Thanksgiving experience. It was billed as a four-course brunch. All courses except the entree were fixed, family-style spreads that were filled with bizarre pairings. The first course was chilled shrimp, oysters and crab claws. It was a mess and no wipes or Bowles of water for fingers after cracking crab shells. Second course: cheese, crackers, meats, donuts, a strange tipped over coffee cup with a puff of coffee flavored mousse oozing out, tomato soup, gluey grilled cheese, candy covered walnuts. It was a mess of different flavors and they served enough of it to feed 6 people when our reservation was for two. The sad entree was a crab cake Benedict that looked like it had been congealed on a buffet line for hours, fishy, dry, and cold. It was served with dry, rock-hard potatoes and two mushy tomatoes. My date ordered surf and turf medium rare and received a very well done hunk of beef a four sad shrimp we couldn’t tell how they were prepared. Boiled, maybe. The desert platter had sixteen servings of inedible sweets, again, bizarrely curated. Pumpkin pie cheesecake with a dried apple nut ball next to three macarons, three strange cookie sandwiches with a gluey paste center, three key lime cups, a congealed tart of some kind. We finally gave up hope that there would be an edible course, paid $265 for two people and ran out of there. Whoever planned the menu, what were you thinking? Ditto on food prep. The waiter was nice enough and the view is grand but if the value and quality of the food are terrible, it doesn’t matter. We chalked it up to a holiday misadventure and agreed never to return.

The food came out a bit lukewarm. My steak was cooked medium well instead of medium rare. We didn’t send anything back though. Usually the food is better, but maybe because we visited on the night before Thanksgiving, there was a shortage on staff.

Caviar french fries were to die for, as well as our server, Juan Camanera, LOVED HIM! Loved the view. Loved the scenery, our table, the laughter and the bottomless mimosas. I only wish there were some smaller items on the menu like a croissant or a small bacon sandwich or some thing that would supplement a salad or a smaller meal. Just in case you had too much to eat the night before and you weren't feeling like you wanted to eat a lot the next morning but a salad wouldn't be enough.

Very busy place at night. Our waitress was triple sat following us, so service was poor. The snapper is not actually the whole fish fried, part of it is for “presentation” we learned after the fact. Food was mostly cold must’ve been sitting to be expo for too long. Dessert was tasty, lava cake.

View is undeniably beautiful but our server had a weird energy and food was meh and overpriced. Restaurant feels more geared towards big events, bathrooms were dirty, will probably not return.

The food was incredible and also the view. The service was lacking. Our server was very slow to greet us and then throughout the rest of the dining experience. We even had to wait a long time to pay. We had a note on the reservation that it was our anniversary dinner and it was not mentioned and nothing done for it. We had to send several food items back to be remade (steak overdone and fries not hot). No apologies for the inconvenience or anything comped. Will still come back and hopefully have an overall better dining experience.

It was our first time there and the manager Will Cunningham came over and personally took care of us.He was so kind and helpful with the food .The view was great but this man alone made our experience memorable.It was our 14 th anniversary.We will be back with family to share this experience

I had not been there for over 25 years. Went there to celebrate a friend’s 65th birthday, food & service was great. Place was very dark & loud. We pad that table of of $500 & was almost ready to leave when a manager came over and ask if everything was good & politely told us that we had to vacate our table for the next guest. I know that there is a 90 minute occupancy time frame but that was just rude because if he would have just waited for a few more minutes he didn’t have to tell us to leave.😡😡😡😡😡😡
