    The food was outstanding! I would highly recommend the mushroom soup, so velvety and delicious. Everyone raved about their entrees- scallops, filet, gnocchi. They were very accommodating for my grandmother’s wheelchair. Service was great- we had Michael. They surprised my grandmother with a birthday dessert- the chocolate flowerpot!

    Great service and everyone was courteous and respectful and helpful and kind. Nice selection of entries and awesome portions and everything was fresh. Table setting was Christmas looking and not overly done. Love the rosemary sprig in the napkin!

    The entire place was gorgeous, the food was outstanding, but the service was slow. We reminded our server twice we were on a time schedule, and we were the last people back to our bus.

    I used four stars because the tiramisu dessert had a less than satisfactory over all taste yet a fantastic presentation. The large cake layer inside had a stale taste and there was a poor ratio of chocolate and cream to the amount of center tasteless cake. The pork chop was fantastic, I suggest, adding about 1/4 cup more of the sweet potato base it went well with the pork. The sauerkraut was good but it wasn't hot. Presentation was terrific. The potted rolls and the salted butter were 5 stars.

    As always at 1906, the food was phenomenal. The service was even better, Michael was attentive, thoughtful, and made sure everything was perfect. He offered great insight into the menu options and was the "icing on the cake" of our visit. We look forward to our next visit.

    We always enjoy our dinners there. The chef is creative but not overly so, and the food is always delicious. We actually recognize our servers and appreciate their wonderful personalities. It’s important though, to make reservations EARLY anytime during Christmas season. You won’t be disappointed.

    The dinner was fine, What annoyed me was that the hostess said a few minutes and we waited a half hour. With so may wonderful things to see during christmas it would be nice if they could text when table is ready or at least be honest about wait time. Just a minor annoyance on a lovely evening

    Food was amazing. Our waitress was fantastic. I had rum punch i’m not much of a drinker, but I thought I would give it a try. It was amazing. The crab Louie was delicious My fillet was cooked to perfection I didn’t know what all the buzz was about with the flower pot dessert. I decided to get one and it lived up to the hype. It was amazing. What a wonderful evening to start off my Christmas season.

    My fiancé and I enjoyed a night at Longwoods and celebrated our birthdays at 1906. Reservations were easy to make and we were seated right away. Our waitress Tara exceeded all expectations. The mulled wine was so delicious and fit the season beautifully. My fiancé had the Black Trouffle Gnocchi and I think he’s more in love with that dish than me! I had the Berkshire pork chop and it was perfection. We also had the vanilla cheesecake and the snow globe for dessert. Tara even surprised us with a candle and a chocolate happy birthday candy. 1906 delivers on quality, taste and experience. You will not be disappointed!!! Love you 1906, chefs kiss!!

    The outside dining area was closed in which was nice, it was warmer than I expected. If you sit around the perimeter of the inclosed tent outside you will feel some cold air coming through due to the edges of tent not being sealed up tight but with the constant heat pumping it was still an enjoyable experience. Only critique I have is the $65 6oz filet mignon, it looked more like a 3 oz steak so the money wasn’t really worth the steak you receive. I got the duck ragu and it was amazing. Overall, was a great experience.

    Their food was so good, pumpkin apple bisque, farrow salad, and a wonderful snow globe for dessert, all were fabulous. After alot of walking, this was perfect. Our waitresses was very good.

    Our server, Michel was attentive without being overbearing, perfect service by our standards. Our food was well-presented and delicious. Kudos to the pastry chef for her creative seasonal desserts. We loved the gingerbread snow globe.

    Service was good food was good. But they expanded the restaurant to include an outdoor porch area that was covered and heated. However, we were seated at the very last table in that section in a corner and it was cold and it’s an expensive meal and I would just recommend if you go there in the winter do not let them sit you in that back area of the porch.

    My friends and I enjoyed our meal selections. The wait staff were efficient and polite. They served the meal at a good pace. The food was served piping hot. We truly enjoyed the rolls. Our only objection was that we had to sit on the deck and the forced air heat did not keep the area warm enough. The metal chairs remained at the outdoor COLD temperature. We plan to return next Christmas season and will make 1906 reservations early enough to eat inside.

    We visited for Longwood Christmas and had a wonderful meal. 1906 never disappoints. From the time we sat down our waitress Cheyenne was friendly and insightful helping us with menu selection and knowledgeable about each item. I chose the 1906 cocktail which hit the spot! The pork chop and the salmon meals were amazing. The Kennett Square mushroom soup is a must… just the right creaminess and wonderful flavor. We finished our meal with two desserts, the snow globe and the flower pot. Both had a lovely presentation and equally delicious. It’s always a treat to dine at 1906 when visiting Longwood for a relaxing and delicious meal. Thank you. KH

    The menu was good but pricey. We had crab and artichoke dip. It had crab chunks on top with a bready dip underneath. Not what we were expecting. I had Crab Louis which was also not what I was expecting. It was a scoop of mayonnaise with some crab. Not tasty at all. The dessert was good, however. I guess if you are ok with divinations from typical recipes, you might like it.

    Michael is the best server at 1906. Was glad to get him again. Sitting outside, on the enclosed porch, this time of year is so nice. It is quieter and cooler and the lights and trees outside add to the ambiance. It is always a pleasure to enjoy fine dining within the gardens. Just reserve early, they are always booked far in advance during the holidays.

    We waited for an hour to be served. Three people ordered Salmon, one arrived room temperature, one undercooked and one just right. Heirloom spinach floating in liquid. Lobster mashed potatoes arrived as we were finishing dinner. Dessert was fabulous. Atmosphere was lovely, seating was great. It was my birthday and I was a bit sad that it went this way and apologized to my wife, sister and friend as I told them it would be wonderful. Oh well, guess they were too busy handling other guests.

    Delicious food, excellent service, cozy ambiance. I appreciate their attention to details, from the napkin holder to the cake decor. I’m very pleased as always. This time I especially appreciate that they featured wine that is donating to honey bee research. I cannot recommend this place enough!
