This was at one time a very good restaurant that we frequented. But when we went there on labor day both service and food were poor. We tried it again last Sunday. Service and food were mediocre.

We were disappointed about a few things. We had a reservation but had to wait for a table to be cleared. We sat at the bar, which was very messy and cluttered with dirty glasses and dishes. No one asked if we would like a drink while we waited. After being seated, we waited ten minutes for our server to take a beverage order. The food was good, but not outstanding. They brought my husband the wrong soup appetizer, but he liked what was served and it wasn’t a big deal. The room with the high ceiling and no carpeting was very noisy and we had trouble hearing. We would go back, mainly because of location, but they could definitely make some improvements

Lovely as always. Really appreciate the “small plate option” on the majority of entrees. Lets you enjoy one of the wonderful appetizers and then an entree without feeling uncomfortably “stuffed.” Thank you!

We were very pleased with all. It is a delightful place for special occasions. We celebrate there often and are never disappointed in either service, food, nor ambiance. It is a lovely spot for small groups and also for quiet dinners/lunches for two. Cant wait to go back!!!

Delicious food, but due to two large parties upstairs, our wait for our lunch was quite long. They gave us free dessert to apologize. Glad we
Weren’t in a hurry as we were not informed that there would be a delay.

Krazy Kats is a delightful place and food is outstanding.
I highly suggest it to the diner looking for a nice ride through the countryside to stop for an outstanding meal
Or an overnight stay st the Inn at Montchanin

We went for the Nantucket Bay scallops, which were great. The appetizer winter tart was excellent. My husband thought the serving of foie gras was a bit small. Overall, a lovely meal.

I have been to Krazy Katz several times before for lunch and dinner. It has always been excellent, however this time it was subpar in the food and cocktail category! We were very disappointed as it was a special occasion and we did not enjoy our meal at all! We had to send the gnocchi back as it was gummy and tasteless! The soups were gelatinous and not enjoyable! The entrees were equally disappointing. I don’t know that I will return to a place that was high on my list and now has fallen well below expectations.

Our visit to Krazy Kats did not start off with a good impression, and perhaps my review is colored by that first impression. My party of 3 was left sitting at a table, unrecognized for approximately 10 minutes. No one stopped by to say they would be right with us, no one even looked at us. (Did you ever have the feeling that you somehow don't fit in? That is how I felt waiting for someone to wait on us) My mother finally suggested that we close our menus, and maybe then someone would come over. It did not have an immediate result, but finally our server approached. (I might add that the restaurant was not busy - AT ALL, there were PLENTY of open tables, which leads me to believe that the server was not slammed). We were told what the specials were, and then we were ready to order. The omelets special had cheddar cheese in it, my husband asked if a different cheese could be substituted and we were told unequivocally NO, they could leave the cheddar out, but we could not possibly substitute. (Cheddar cheese is a migraine trigger for him, which will send us to the ER to rectify, so much for the omelet!) That kind of did it for me... you can leave it out (and there are other cheeses on the menu), but you can substitute? I had the crab bisque and the grapefruit brulee. Certainly not the best I have ever had. It was salty and had very little flavor, it did have large chunks of crab meat (yeah!). I asked for sherry to add to it, and got a quizzical look from our server. She did bring me some though. The grapefruit brulee was very good, but the spoons they brought us were more like shovels... not very easy to eat. A coffee spoon would have been a better size. I won't be going back too soon.

We loved the adorable decor. We really wanted to love the experience. It was my birthday dinner. I ordered mahi mahi - it was so over salted I could not eat it. The chef said he could make another in 4-5 minutes and I agreed to wait. The second one looked beautiful on the outside but was completely raw inside, a skin-width into it. At that pint I had eaten the tasteless bread with the tasteless butter, and good Brussels sprouts we ordered as a side and my husband was done with his fatty lamb chop so I said forget it. No visit from chef with apology. Bummer.

This restaurant has been a favorite for many years. We always enjoy our meals at Krazy Kat's. At lunch, we like the sunroom for its light, airy feel (and the lumbar pillows with the funny quotes). For dinner, the main dining room is great, with the zany portraits and gorgeous charger dishes. Service is always excellent.
But the food is the main attraction. Absolutely delicious with a variety that keeps everyone happy. At our most recent lunch, the hits were crab bisque, mushroom & leek soup, Reuben sandwiches, and a duck confit salad. We plan to go back soon for one of the dinner specials -- prixe fixe on Sunday and Wednesday or Surf & Turf on Monday.

Cozy spot great for a quiet dinner out. So rare to find somewhere you can hear your dinner partners. No hardscape, loud music track. Cute dining room eclectically decorated in a cats and dogs theme that is not overdone. The week we went they were trying out a new menu, so our food had highlights and lowlights, but I am confident they will tweak their dishes. Service was cheerful and attentive without being overbearing. Go for the complete food, service and ambiance package. We really enjoyed our evening there, even though our dishes still needed a bit of work. We look forward to coming back sometime when we're in the area and when they have hopefully sorted out the new menu.

Across the board our experience was exceptional. The ambience is unique with its quirky paintings and nod to its history as former stables, yet elegant at the same time. Barbara, our server, was very helpful in answering our questions and offering suggestions on the menu options. The amuse bouche of Vietnamese pork was very tasty and a nice touch to start the evening. We liked the small plate options which gave us plenty of food and kept prices moderate. The half portions of lobster and vegetable lasagna, and snapper dishes were very good. The creme brûlée was very generous in portion and nicely prepared; and as it was a birthday celebration, the dessert was comped... a considerate gesture to end a very pleasant dining experience. It was our friends’ first time there, and they continue to rave over the experience.

Amazing place for food and drinks!! My husband and I ate here for our 4th anniversary and we were so pleased with our experience. We had a six course dinner consisting of appetizers, soup, salad, fish dish, meat dishes and dessert. The crab bisque soup and pork belly appetizers were very unique and definitely satisfying to a foodie like me. Also the donuts covered in chocolate was the perfect ending of our meal. Highly recommend!

Husband and I went to Krazy Kats for a date on Sunday. The food was outstanding, service was awesome, and the decor was fun. Annette and Justin were our serving team and they were great! We had the shrimp cocktail, duck bacon potato skins, crab bisque, and filet mignon. Everything was superb. The bisque had huge chunks of crab meat and the potato skins were the best I’ve ever had. We had a great time and can’t wait to try their brunch!

One of the best-managed dining rooms I know. Foie gras and the smaller-size entrée of duck breast were ample for my dinner. Delicious food, good service, and a place where you can talk to your dining partners, which is wonderful. Not overhyped like so many places which turn out to be mediocre. Two similar dinners, three glasses of wine, no dessert, no coffees, $90 before tip.
