Once a warehouse for Greek olives and cheeses, the space is now one of the most authentic Greek eateries in New York City, serving only the freshest dishes, accompanied by an extensive worldly hard-to-get wine list, dramatic nautical décor, and exceptional service. We had a great experience at Thalassa last night celebrating a colleague’s promotion. Thalassa is a very pretty restaurant and the food was delicious. We ordered the Greek Spreads, Pan Seared Scallops, the Stuffed Branzino and Seafood Thalassina … all were fabulous…. there was nothing left on anyone’s plates! 😋 We would totally go back again!!

Although the food and atmosphere was very good, service was slow. SInce this was a business meal, we needed it to have a wait service to be more on the ball so that we were able to make a good impression on our clients. When your top financial clients leave before the check is issued, that is a bad sign. More timely service is needed. the women's bathroom had no waste basket available for disposing of paper towels - that was frustrating. I didn't want to leave anything on the floor so I ended up placing it in the toilet.

Thalassa never fails. The quality of food is always amazing. The stuffed calamari was to die for, the mains were impressive on both taste and portions, and the desert here is always top tier. The service and staff rival any high end restaurant in NYC. This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. I always love coming here, the ambiance, service and food cannot be beat. I will be back as many times as I can.

Once again, our dining experience at Thalassa did not disappoint! This is a beautiful restaurant with serene ambiance and the food is delicious. From appetizer to dessert, cocktails and wine....a very nice and satisfying culinary experience! We were a party of six and had a great time at Thalassa last night. The service is outstanding and we ate and drank very well. We ate a lot of seafood and two of us had the lamb shank and chops. Everything was delicious, but the fried zucchini and eggplant chips and the baklava were standouts.

An overall very pleasant and enjoyable dining experience. The staff were excellent; very nice and attentive. The food was good, albeit pretty expensive. Although that could just be the new normal with high inflation. Lots of seafood options. The restaurant also added value by providing complimentary small plates before the appetizers, and complimentary cookies and dessert wines (8 glasses for a party of 5!) at the end of the dinner.

This was our first time here but will not be our last! Food was delicious, I couldnt decide what to order I wanted so many things on the menu! What is only more incredible than the food(and thats saying a lot because the food is incredible) is the service. Our server and the entire staff is so warm and accommodating-they truly want you to be happy and have a wonderful dining experience. It is not often that I write this kind of review, I am so happy we found this gem. The only issue is its closed Sunday!!
