The reservation was made and confirmed for 2:15, however the restaurant closes at 2:00 on Sunday. It would have been nice to know this prior to arrival. The saving grace was Aloha Steakhouse is directly across the boardwalk from La Cosecha and as always never disappoints.

We booked the restaurant for a group reservation to celebrate a birthday. Must have been a slow night, b/c the place was empty! It made for the perfect experience for our party. The food and service was great. Would definitely go back!!

The actual restaurant arbitrarily closes for lunchtime without prior notice, so we ended up having to eat at the hotel’s bar where we received poor service and low-quality food.

The chips and salsa were great so we’re the drinks. But we say there for 30 minuets before we got a drink. Very frustrating Sunday lunch. Service very slow and no one was in the place.

The food was very good. The address on Open Table is wrong. It took us about 30 minutes to find this place. It’s on California not Harbor, it’s actually in the Crowne Plaza hotel building which is about 5 miles from the address on Open Table.

What a great find!! The food was excellent and ver authentic!! You won't find tacos and burritos here, it's more gourmet!! Try the coconut calamari...probably the best I've ever had! Service was great and the drinks served with a smile!! We'll definitely be back!

She reserved the private room for our group and ensured that everything is set-up at least half an hour before our reservation time. Jorge, our food attendant was wonderful and very friendly. A very unique a great twist on your average expectation of Mexican food. Very creative chef. Great chips too. Staff and management are the stars here where that make sure you're happy with everything and even had Manger check and also let us know about there late night closing as well as serving great brunch. We will be back.

We loved our server. I believe his name was Hector, but I'm not positive. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and charming. The restaurant wasn't busy, so we had a nice time chatting with him. We had the shrimp and lobster ceviche as an appetizer. For our entrees, we had carne asada and grilled shrimp and pesto pasta. The margaritas had a splash of orange juice and were delicious.

This had all the hope of a great mexican dinner at the pier in Ventura. Sadly, this restaurant needs a tune up. Service was not what you'd expect in a restaurant charging these prices. Our food came out just warm, not hot like it was just prepared......server never came back for additional drinks then had the manager bring the check without offering coffee, dessert or anything else. Looks like the manager is familiar with these flaws in the restaurant. She really tired to make up for the evening but even the dessert she ordered us was 25 minutes to the table. Send in Gordon Ramsey to get everyone trained and on the same page! This place could be a gold mine if they put in the effort on the details.

Menu print very small and the prices are in a soft font that made it hard to read. Service pretty slow considering how quiet the place was. One person in the party has poor hearing so the "room" between other diners and the overall quietness was a plus. Would neither recommend or talk it down...since it is hard to find a place where you can visit easily

Outstanding Thanksgiving fixed price menu. Delicious roasted and seasoned turkey - best I've ever had. From the soup to the desserts it was excellent. Service was phenomenal even with the challenge of large tables and a holiday - the server treated us like we were his only table. Makes me want to go back next year for Thanksgiving!

Went to check out the new name and menu. Everything on the menu had either jalapeno or habineros in it (yes, it's a Mexican place, but a bit much). Started off with chips & salads (same as El Toritos, which I like) Classic Margaritas and Pork quesadilla off the happy hour mennu, also good. For dinner I ordered the Short Rib enchiladas with rice & beans. But you can usually tell if a Mexican restaurant is good or not by their rice & beans. I did NOT care for them. The red rice was mushy and over cooked, no flavor and the black beans were just spicy. I had originally ordered the pinto beans with bacon and chorizo but the waitress forgot so I was able to then try both. I did not like either one. Service was good, however think it just because it's a new name and they are trying to drum up business. this place has mainly been for guest who stay at the Crown Plaza Hotel since that's where it is located. Nice atmosphere and good for happy hour, but low on the my list.
