From delicious selection of Antipasti to Traditional Italian wood-fired pizza, and amazing Pasta dishes Teatro caters for all guests. Despite the restaurant not being full we were seated at the table that shares a wall with the till and computer so got to deal with everyone coming up and paying their bill etc - AWFUL The food was ok and the service was average - twice a waitress came over with food for another table and just laughed when I said it was not mine.

Teatro Gastronomia offers a beautiful ambient setting very close to NGV, Arts Centre and Hamer Hall for theatre/arts events. Scenic location by the river and the restaraunt interior itself is warm and inviting and engaging interior - really enjoyed this element, offers indoor and outdoor dining - great options on the river. the food is affordable - a delicately perfectly cooked minute steak and fries - recommend. Unfortunately a disappointing rocket, pear, parmesan salad which was unappetizing with the inclusion of a pear that had turned brown . quick food service which is great when going to the theatre - overall a positive dinging experience

My meal, lasagna was dreadful. Very little meat mostly bechamel and pasta. For $32 I expected it to be delicious. Service was terrible. Obviously short staffed. Waited ages to order, had to ask for a drinks menu and 3 times ask for bill Service and food here are usually impeccable. Really disappointed!

perfect place for quick dinner before catching a show at the Arts Centre. we were running late, but they still held the table. service was fast and we even managed to have coffee before heading off to see a show next door.

We ordered rib eye to share with roast potatoes and beans. Was absolutely delicious. Rib eye cooked on the grill was amazing. Great value and everything delicious. This was our 3rd visit. We hadn't been in a few years after trying walk in when attending show at Hamer Hall. This time I booked. We will go back again sooner. Delicious.

I have eaten here a number of times now, the food is always impeccable, full of flavour with generous portions. The table service is friendly and attentive. A definite recommendation to experience.

On a very wr and miserable afternoon in Melbourne, Teatro was a pleasant haven out of the elements. Attentive service and very good food, if somewhat price.
