For reservations, we ask that you arrive promptly and with your complete party so that you may be seated without delay, helping to ensure social distancing per city and state safety mandates. To further ensure safety and adherence, we will now ask guests to aid us by limiting the table times for parties: 1-2ppl to one hour and a half, 3-4ppl to 1 hour and 45 minutes, 5-6ppl to 2 hours.
We do not reserve tables in our outdoor patio. If you are interested in seating outside you can put in a request on your reservation and we will get you seated as soon as we have a table available.
You are more than welcome to bring a cake. There is a $3 cake cutting fee per person.

Starting December 1st we will change our hours of operation only Monday through Thursday opening at 5pm instead of 4pm until spring. Thank you!

It was a lovely night in Chicago and the patio was very lively because most chose to eat outside rather than inside. The patio was really lovely, shaded by several trees and umbrellas with twinkle lights all around. It really was a great evening with great atmosphere and wonderfully delicious food.

Piccolo sogno is always reliable. And in the summer months when you can sit on the lovely patio it is really a great experience. Service is great - lots of help. Our waiter Alejandro was very attentive and actually came out to bring me my credit card, which I forgot when paying. I like that they have an extensive wine list with all price points. The only flaw was the ravioli with peas and fava were undercooked and the butter sauce was a little short on salt.

We were elated to get an outdoor dining spot but it was quite loud even outside. Ambiance otherwise was lovely and all food was as good as expected! Main issue was that we never saw our server after our initial order… so our first drinks came with the appetizers and then the main course came out and no offer to order another round of drinks to have with dinner. It wasn’t until mid meal that we finally got his attention to order more wine.

EXCEPTIONAL IN EVERY WAY! Valet was easy & efficient. If you arrive early, lovely bar area to have a cocktail. The outdoor garden was magical! One of the most beautiful alfresco dining experiences downtown Chicago. The food is always incredible. The ingredients are authentic making for the most tasty Italian dishes! Service staff always goes out of their way to make it a special visit. Piccolo Sogno never disappoints!!!

Usually the food and service is outstanding, but the last couple times there I've only one complaint; our entrees were brought out before the appetizers were finished - not good. So your small table is either too crowded or you're forced to allow them to take away appetizers that you would have otherwise finished. You shouldn't have to ask the servers to wait until you're done with one meal before the next is served. Think I'll give Piccolo's a time out.

Piccolo Sogno is one best places to dine in Chicago Al Fresco. The atmosphere is festive and fun and food is always delicious and inviting. Love Chef Tony Priolo and his team for their expert and spirited cooking and co-owner Ciro Longobardo for his welcome presence as he warmly greets people at the door like beloved family members. Always a wonderful time. Great food and welcoming dining experience.

As always the food was wonderful. However we felt rushed, the servers and bussers were taking away our plates literally as we were taking last bites. As well, plates should not be cleared until everyone at the table has finished eating. I realize it’s busy on a nice evening on the beautiful patio but still, but I think Piccolo Sogno should adhere to a higher standard. On a positive note, we were splitting a main course and I greatly appreciated that the kitchen split the course on two plates for us. And our server was good, albeit a bit rushed.

We really excited about this place but left happy and sort of meh. The appetizer was good and the wine selection was nice, but the ravioli pasta tasted off. My husband said it almost tasted “fishy”. The server never checked during the meal or we may have said something. The boar ragu was satisfying but nothing special. The ambiance, especially the patio is gorgeous. I would not make a point to come back, though, sadly.

Everything from start to finish was wonderful. The appetizers were delicious and the presentation was beautiful! We sat out on their beautiful patio for Mother’s Day and every entree that my family ordered was amazing! The staff was friendly and attentive.

This was bad Italian food. Me and my date didn’t want to ruin the night by saying it during the dinner, but afterwards we had a chuckle about how bad the food was. Everybody said this was good? The ravioli was undercooked and lacked taste. 4 cheese? Tasted like bland cheese paste. The cheesecake was horrendous. Quite possibly the worst cheesecake of my life, and the rest of the food we had was just… blah… Payed a lot of money for an Italian dinner worse then my local neighborhood spot. Pretty disappointed : /

We have been at Piccolo Sogno many times in years past before CoVid and had great experiences in their garden area. This was our first time back. The menu has changed , far more expensive , fewer choices of pasta entrees or fish . We were seated in a long thin inside area with tables practically on top of each other; our server seemed more eager to serve us quickly and send us on our way rather than offering a fine dining experience. Unfortunately what we did order was disappointing as well as overpriced and unfortunately, I’m not motivated to return there.
