   Robert our server provided a dining experience. He was consistent all the way through. We love coming here because of the view, it’s beautiful! Now the one thing that’s unfortunate is when it comes to dining there’s a log wait to get your food or something is wrong. Our food came out quick but our steaks and appetizers were cold, not mention my 2nd drink was wrong. We didn’t want to return it because Robert was a good server. I still will come though because of the service and the view

   Besides the food, one of the reasons we picked this place was for the view. I wasn't too happy when we were being seated at a booth in the back. We asked for a window table and were accommodated. It got a little loud at one point during our meal, and we had to lean in to be able to hear each other speak. Overall, the food was great! I had salmon and my husband shared a tomahawk with our friend. We had the lava cake for dessert, and it was delicious!!! Jess was our server, and she was great.

   Our table had not been wiped clean before setting and a plate that was obviously used with crumbs and butter smear was included with the table setting. Also, a dead bug was on window ledge touching our table. We had to ask the server more than once to wipe the table. We were disappointed in this once favorite restaurant.

   If our experience last night was a stroke of bad luck then I feel sorry for us and hope it never happens to someone else... Went into our night expecting great things, since it was so highly reviewed, but instead, hit with the worst series of events we've had eating out to date. Bullet point summary here for the people: -The reservation could not be found at first, so I felt like a fool -The bartender was belittling my husband with comments about how and what to order -Our table was comically, and visibly, rocky and unstable, how is this still a problem -2 folded umbrellas in front of this incredible view, ruined it -Our server was either HIGHLY distracted/busy or just plain forgetful -Food order and service took twice as long as the people seated around us -Ordered Filet Au Poivre medium-rare...The filet was a slab of cold meat with NO sauce and one single clove of garlic for $50 (We have a photo for proof) -My "GRILLED BROCCOLI & BROCCOLINI" was actually steamed, unsalted, broccoli with greens. No grill... -Everything took AGES, from valet to exit was 2.5 hours (and we're quick eaters) -Took the food that I wanted to be boxed up and tossed it, half my entire pasta plate was trashed... -Then was given a pity dessert that was clearly for someone else and was cold, it said "Happy Aniversary" on it... -Even the other waiters noticed we were disappointed -Check: bar tab + meal + $20 cash tip + $7 valet + $3 valet tip = $228 :( The grounds are gorgeous, and the staff was polite, we just got the short end of the stick that night and it really sucked. Let a manager know we had a bad experience and they tried to call me at like 10 pm but I was already in bed so I'll be following up but there are no words that can be said that will take back what we experienced. It was just really unfortunate and sad, took our mood from a 10 to a 1 when we got home.

    This was our first time to Orange Hill. I was looking for a romantic restaurant to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary and Orange Hill was one of the top ten restaurants in Orange County. This restaurant is way nicer than the OC Mining Co which is down the road. Our waiter was EXCEPTIONAL! He was attentive and, when pairing a wine with my husband's dinner, he was a wealth of information! We sat outside (St Patty's Day) and the view of the sunset and the city lights (when it got dark) was spectacular! I wasn't even cold! We were seated next to a fire pit and the restaurant offered plenty of patio heaters. We weren't overwhelmed by the heat of the fire pit nor the patio heater. It was just right! I ordered the 8oz Filet Mignon with the 50/50 Mashed Potatoes and it was Exceptional!!! My husband ordered the Chilean Sea Bass with broccolini and black Thai rice and he said it was just "ok." My husband usually LOVES chilean sea bass. But I tasted his dinner and I would have to agree. The black thai rice was sweet and neither of us were expecting that and I don't think it complemented the sea bass. The ambiance was light, quiet and chill. Definitely good vibes going on here. Would I come here again! Absolutely!!! I would definitely recommend Orange Hill to others! I know my husband and I will definitely be back.

    Absolutely terrible on many different levels. The food especially! In one case the entree was inedible… Nothing positive to say about Orange Hill and I’m a neighbor and have been going there for many years… Other than the view, not recommended!

    Worst Experience, drove 2 hours and had two months reservation just so I can sip on a beer and my girlfriend on her birthday as well sip a wine for 10 minutes and all the power shut off for the rest of the night, they didn’t want to accommodate me anything and tried to make me pay for what I had ordered but never received.

    We were celebrating our anniversary & were surprised with a delicious dessert after our meal. The table was perfect for a sunset,however it was raining. We will go to Orange Hill restaurant again on a sunny day. The table next to us was a party of 12, loud.

    Had an amazing time for my daughter's 17th Birthday. Think we might go back next month for my Birthday. Everyone was nice. Only strange issue was we had to take a shuttle back and forth from the college to the restaurant. Which was different but it all worked out.

    Very good food and ambiance. Sad that people on backside of table couldn’t enjoy the view. It was also difficult to see their faces because of the light behind them. When people were loud around us it was difficult to hear the voices at our table. Were extremely disappointed to discover that there was no buffet. It is still posted online as being available. That was our biggest reason for choosing the restaurant.

    A friend recommended Orange Hill Restaurant to celebrate my anniversary. We made reservations for Sunday brunch and we were under wowed. The service was mediocre and the food was terrible. Low quality food for a high price. We also weren’t allowed to bring balloons in which added to my bad experience. We gave the manager some feedback and she was accommodating but I would not recommend this restaurant at all!

    We arrived on time for their initial morning seating, but the staff wasn’t ready and their host wasn’t friendly. The spot has such potential, but they need to clean and update the restaurant. The food was disappointing too.

    Waiter insisted we get the chefs special for $140 and it wasn’t the greatest. We ordered what we wanted and insisted we get the special because we would get a variety of cuts but they were extremely tiny and not worth the value.

    Outstanding view of the city lights at night. Wait staff were prompt and helpful. Food was outstanding, including both meat and fish dishes. We highly recommend the brussel sprouts appetitizer!

    It was a very disappointing experience. We ordered the ribeye steak and orange hill burger. The ribeye came after 35 minutes extremely salty you can’t even eat it so we had to return it so they remade it but it came after another 30 minutes. The burger was good but the bread was not toasted or warm. Then the check came first it had a discount on it because of the steak situation then the waiter came back and said sorry wrong check and ripped it out of my hand only to bring it back without a discount at all, so I called for the manager to ask what exactly happened, so she says we are lucky we didn’t charge for the steak twice and it is considered that a discount. I will never go there again.

    Came here Friday night for my dads birthday and had a phenomenal time! We tried the DIY pink brick with wagyu beef and it literally melts in your mouth. I had the salmon which is so savory but still very tender. My dad had the sea bass which he couldn't stop raving about how sweet and buttery it was. My brother had the short rib which reminds us of moms pot roast but in the best way possible! I had a strawberry mule which was the perfect amount of fizzy and sweet, such a good twist on a regular Moscow mule. David was our server and was very attentive. He made sure to give us a phenomenal night. Two managers also checked on us, as well as all of the other tables around us. Their names are Rudy and aogu and said they make sure to go by every table to ensure they are having a phenomenal experience. At the end we even got some complimentary dessert for my dads birthday which made the night even better. I have been to other places like watergrill and mastros where the servers are more concerned about money than ensuring their guests are satisfied, so this was such a nice change of pace! I'd come back here a million times. OH also the view is amazing. If I could leave a million stars I would. Don't skip out on Orange Hill, you won't regret it.

    38 minute wait with a reservation, poor management and customer service. I would avoid, won’t go back. Felt like a Denny’s, and that’s probably not fair to Denny’s.

    We had a great time. Was a kind of spontaneous event and we easily got a table. Our waiter Jacob was very attentive and engaging with our group. He offered very clear explanation of some items on the menu for questions we had and the food was excellent. Even our youngest finally found some vegetables and a steak she actually liked. The scenery was very nice. while the first few minuets of our stay was affecting some of us with bright sunlight Jacob helped by setting the shades without hesitation. The weather was a bit windy and cold but they attended to us with the fire places and outside heaters. Overall. We had a great time. Thank you!!

    Reservation was for 12:30pm. When we arrived, they told us it would be another 30-45 minutes because they were behind due to weather. They gave the option to sit on the patio in the rain and wind though if we didn’t want to wait. Went to the bar, no one acknowledged we were there even though tables were being served. Went to the bar, got drinks. Waited a solid 40 minutes before our table was ready. The hostess was the only one who apologized for the wait. Brunch took an additional 2 hours after that. Waited 40 minutes for entrees and not all the entrees came out. The entrees that did arrive were cold. We waited so long for the rest of our food that half the table was finished eating before my step dad and I got our entrees which was an hour after we placed our order. We had to ask three times for our food. No apologies, no manager, no acknowledgement of anything that happened during service. We were also celebrating mine and my daughters birthday. Nobody acknowledged that at all despite the reservation comments, the gifts, and the birthday cake we brought. Ordered ice cream for the kids. $4/“scoop” and it was literally a tablespoon of ice cream served in a condiment ramekin. Two bites of ice cream seriously, what a joke. It was also so excruciating loud we couldn’t converse with anyone who wasn’t sitting immediately next to each other. Overall a very disappointing experience.
