Very nice restaurant and we both enjoyed the food. there was a small issue with our meal but the manager and waiter went above and beyond what we expected and treated us to make up for the mistake. We will definitely return back to try some of their other dishes
Have eaten at Dragonfly many times, always great food and service. The bar is usually hopping, lots of fun people watching.
Great great great.
Food was average at best. Disappointing for the price. Service and ambience was great. Wish the meal lived up to the rest of the experience.
Had a great time at Dragonfly. The food was good and the service was outstanding. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The bar area was great also.
This restaurant went above and beyond for us! The main area was loud and so they put us in the wine room. They then gave us a shuttle to the symphony. The staff could not have been more accommodating
Excellent breakfast/brunch. unlike dinner time it was quiet. good service. A little pricey. dishes are $15-$20 for breakfast its a little high. Overall we enjoyed it.
Here for my daughters birthday .
Beautiful bistro. Food was nice. I loved my bolognese. Hubby's gnocchi was amazing. The only drawback were the drinks. Mine was bitter, my nephew's beer was flat, and there was an issue with a dish at the table. It was not clear about what is can be substituted and what is included.
Great place for cocktails and dining! Definitely will be back!
First time eating at the Dragonfly. We sat at the bar and had some of the best service we have ever had from Julian. He made great suggestions on all the food and drinks. The food was spectacular. Ahi Tuna Salad, enough for 2 (thank you for that tip). Shrimp Cocktail had 6 jumbo shrimp and Hamburger delicious. Traded French fries for Brussel Sprouts - some of the best in the city. Will return again.
We had the filet with roasted tomato and salmon with cauliflower both were amazing. we had drinks and dessert , loved them both. Great crowd but not loud.
I'm not sure if the Dragonfly is a Hotel Sports Bar, or a fancy restaurant. It was trying to be both, simultaneously, and it didn't work. There is a dress code to get in, but the hostess, the first person you see, was dressed in a sports jersey and booty shorts. All the girls and bartenders were dressed similarly, but the wait staff was in suits and ties. ??? The bar is separated from the restaurant by a half wall, but they have sports playing on the tv and it got pretty loud later in the night. There is a separate room for groups as part of the restaurant, but the acoustics in there are great, so it's hard to hear normal conversations. Since it was our anniversary, my husband and I opted to not sit in there. So they stuck us in a corner by the wait staff computer and the poolside exit, and ignored us. It took them half an hour to take our order after delivering our menus, another half an hour to deliver our appetizer, and after telling us about the desserts, our waiter didn't even come back. By that point the big group had left, and it wasn't very busy so there wasn't really a good excuse. We finally had to take out our credit card and put it on the table just to get our check. It took us 2 hours to eat what at most, would be a 1 hour meal. Disappointed.
This place is lovely...the setting beautiful the food delicious. I enjoy this restaurant as one of the special gems in Dallas
Amazing manager and the server.
We picked this restaurant for a friendly dinner because it had great food, great service and nice ambiance. Our table was placed between two very loud tables of mostly drunk and very loud people. Our friendly dinner was spent mostly just trying to hear the person on the other side of the table. Disappointing. Also the food was disappointing. The only good thing was our waiter, who is really outstanding. I am sorry but we won’t be back.
This was our first visit to dragonfly. We found the service and atmosphere far exceeding our expectations. We even stayed on after dinner at the pool side where we had drinks and listen to music. This little spot is a diamond in the rough make the trip it’s worth it .
Terrible service. The guy who served us drinks was snarky and unprofessional in every way possible. Please find good servers as everything else was good.
Nice special occasion Sunday brunch on the way to the Spa and pool was memorable.
Had a wonderfully romantic evening at Dragonfly for our 23rd Anniversary. The service was exceptional.
Fun place with excellent food. The salmon was superb.
I thought the entrees had good flavor, but an app of bread with the spinach artichoke dip was a bit much. The serving staff was uncoordinated. We had 2 servers who weren't really dedicated to our table. We also had a table by the pool where a lady was quite proud of her thong bikini so that brought the ambiance down.
The place probably worth one time visit.
Food - We went for the dinner. We find the Chilled Jumbo Shrimp & Blue Crab Campechana delightful, but both entrees lack creativity. Dessert only has 3 choices, and none was attractive to us, so we skipped.
Decor - The decor for the hotel and the restaurant is a bit unconventional, with some Asian artifacts, but feel a bit loud and artificial.
Service - Courteous.
Overall, we feel underwhelmed.
Service was slow. That’s basically the negative as the food and atmosphere was good.
Dragonfly was soooo awesome! The food and drinks were stupendous! We eat out a lot and Dragonfly was up there with the best. We can’t wait to come back!
We travel to Dallas about 3-4 times a year for work, and we always made this one of our stops for dinner for the last 6 years. For some reason they changed up the menu getting rid of an amazing appetizer of calamari with a fantastic sweet and spicy sauce. It was something we looked forward to eating every time we went. Additionally, Chris was often our server and he made those meals even more incredible. What we found even more bizarre then taking the calamari off the menu was keeping the dressing for a steak thai noodle salad. We appreciated the manager bringing us complimentary shrimp and a crab dish, but they were just not the same. It is a fairly pricey menu, but we never even questioned it in the past, but now, we will most likely not be back. At the table we had three different steaks, two thai salad's and one order of the salmon. Everyone thought the food was just "ok."
The staff was amazing and hospitable from the moment my date and I walked in. They gave us a great table on a Saturday night. The drinks, food, and entire staff was impeccable! Best dining experience I’ve had in awhile, I would definitely recommend dragonfly to friends!
Dragonfly is always a great place to people watch. I love that they offer a small filet (4 oz) which is a deal at $24. It’s the perfect size if you don’t want to feel stuffed after dinner. The basil pesto gnocchi was delicious as was the filet.
I love the Dragonfly at ZaZa. We will be back to enjoy it again!
Food was amazing!! We were treated very well by all staff and the room was perfct. Can’t wait to visit again.
The specials were awesome, the waitstaff were unobtrusive and very pleasant, the wine list was comprehensive. With both steak and halibut ordered at our table, the recommendation for the 2014 Palermo cabernet was right on point. We will be back. :)
What a fantastic place! It felt like I was on vacation for a few hours! The atmosphere around the bar inside and outside was upscale Riveria with amazing service.
Sophisticated but not pretentious. an unbelievable meal, perfect atmosphere... we were treated so well by the staff, at one point, I genuinely believe that they had us mistaken for a food critic or some VIP...We can’t wait to return again and again
First time at Hotel ZaZa. Very swanky. Dragonfly is the hotel restaurant and was a wonderful dining experience. We had the pickled deviled eggs as an appetizer. Incredible and a good value. Lydia had the scallops. Cooked perfectly. I had the red snapper with the crispy skin. One of the best I've ever eaten. Our waiter was fantastic and even comped us the second round of prosecco as an anniversary gift. They also had a really impressive list of cocktails but we stuck with the bubbly. I avoid going to Dallas, but I would definitely go back to Dragonfly.
My wife and I have been many times. But it’s been years. We made reservations with the understanding it was our 26th anniversary. We were placed in a private room and the service was spectacular.
The restaurant didn’t need to do it but we believe the attention to detail was spectacular.
The best in Dallas for so many reasons... enjoy!!!!
Great place for drinks.
Fabulous food and service.
Food was really tasty, except for the hanger steak which seemed to be grass fed beef not cooked correctly...too earthy. Entire table tasted it and it was not the best..My New York strip was excellent. I would go back again and the place is beautiful.
The service at Dargonfly was great and the ambiance was nice; however the menu items were lacking and over priced for meat that was over cooked.
Very fun night spot. After 7 they turn the pool area into night club with a dj!
