North River Lobster Company does not take reservations - visit our website for a boarding pass, or just show up at Pier 81! North River Lobster Company is the city's first casual, fresh, three-floor floating lobster shack located at Pier 81 on W 41st Street and the Hudson River, convenient to Times Square and the High Line. We take diners on short cruises out onto the Hudson multiple times per day. Dine and unwind at your leisure, with a sailing schedule designed for quick lobster lunches, happy hour drinks, sunset dinners and incredible views of the Empire State Building and the Midtown skyline. We offer fresh seafood, light fare, signature Mason jar cocktails, buckets of beer and a raw bar boat. Simply find a spot on board, sip on your favorite cocktail and let New York become New England!

The food was good, most of the available tables on the outside decks were filthy. Maybe people don't know to take their own trash to the garbage. And someone needs to wipe the tables down between diners. I think they could use more service staff.

The boat ride was wonderful, the seating was very vast - we went on a really hot day to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and were pleased to see that there was an air conditioned level for seating (not to say we didn't sit outside anyway). The food was fresh and as close to the lobster rolls that we had in Maine that we've found in NYC so far. The bar staff was friendly and accommodating, the manager of the ship even came by to sit with us and converse for a while. The sail was smooth, and the dock where the ship lets out had a bar as well. Overall a wonderful celebration, quite memorable, and we will definitely be going back again. The food was worth the money, especially because it didn't cost a thing to get on the boat :]

I had the lobster roll and it was very good. The Dark & Stormy's are great. It's a little pricey, but you can't beat being outside on a boat and a free sail around Midtown NYC!!

Don't bother making a reservation. Open seating, order at the bar, someone brings your food to the table. You have to keep going back to the bar for refills on drinks or anything you need. $4 for seltzer and lime, reasonableness is definitely not the goal here. Fish tacos were fine! but nothing special. Go if you want a "free" (note earlier comment on prices!) boat ride.

A nice experience for this California visitor. Getting a free boat ride on the Hudson was a terrific catch plus very tasty oysters and lobster rolls. And good Bloody Mary's. Staff allowed us to relax for as long as we desired

This place/boat/event was recommend to me by my friend as we had to meet up and chat and catch up. The food, coupled with the view (and the sun and the breeze) was a perfect departure from the regular restaurant\, bar or party scene. I will definitely be back in the future !!!!!

I have never had a worse meal in my life,the food was disgusting and the prices were so expensive.it ruined my wife's birthday.i am very upset.never again.
