Stopped by on a whim on a quiet holiday weekend-so glad we did! Small plates were amazing!!!! Delicious homemade sangria and extensive wine list-so happy we found this gem!

We had a mussels appetizer followed by shrimp risotto. Both were delicious and beautifully presented. Sorbet for dessert as well. We like Dish's beer selection and the craft cocktails also. A great meal, we will be back again.

A unique find in Putnam county a short drive from northern westchester. A top notch varied menu with appropriate wine selections. The special wine pairing dinners are excellent and fun.

We had a group of 6 on a Saturday night at 7:15 and the restaurant was very quiet. Our server was very nice, paid attention but did not smother or hover. Food was mixed: most of us liked the appetizers better than the mains.

It was our first time there and will not be going back. My husbands mussels were bad and he sent them back. His steak was awful - full of fat and grizzle. My roast duck was served in a soup plate with soupy mashed potatoes which got into the veges and salad. Made it difficult to cut the duck. Did not make sense to serve in a soup plate. I heard at one time it was very good at Dish, but no longer. I do not recommend it.

I would recommend Dish subject to the caveat that it is fairly pricey. A $19 hamburger? A $32 dish where the salad is extra cost? A good but $12 glass of wine?

The olives in the Martini were bad, mushy and old. Most of the appetizers were not good. Only the brusselsprouts were good. The main courses were just so so. Nice place and pleasant staff, but I won’t be going back - definitely not worth the $.

Dish rarely disappoints. From their creative cocktail menu, interesting specials, abundant starters, small plates, and entrees, it is always a pleasure to dine here. Service was excellent, even on a busy Saturday night. It remains one of Mahopac's very best restaurants.

Dish was a regular spot for me and my vegan friend because of the amazing mushroom bowl. Well the menu has changed, which I can’t fault Dish for not checking before I went. However when we explained my friend was vegan, we didn’t get the impression that the dish they said they would make vegan was in fact vegan. Although my friend enjoyed her meal, she admitted after she really didn’t think it was vegan. Also the waiter was extremely slow. Everything was extremely slow. There was a good 45 minutes from the time they took our apps away to the time dinner was served and when we asked for a dessert menu it never came. 20 minutes later I flagged down the waiter to ask for the check. This has not been my experience the many other times I have gone, sadly I am unsure I will go back.

Creative and delicious meal. Dining room was a little noisy with a boisterous bar crowd. Several of the specials were no longer available for our 7pm reservation which was disappointing. Service was very good and the wait staff attentive. We enjoyed our dinner and would eat there again.

The restaurant is very small and the menu changes a bit from time to time. We dined here because they always have a few vegetarian and vegan options. The food is always flavored well so we have always been pleased with the taste and quality. The pricing is a bit high for the area, but it's worth it for the quality of the food.

I went on a Sunday for brunch. It wasn't crowded at all. We ordered and the mimosas and bellinis were great. The food is pretty decent. There was also a piano player which provided a nice touch.

Dish Bistro never disappoints. We went there on New Years Eve. For appetizers we had the Balsamic Pork Ribs, Crab Cake Bites, Chicken Dumplings, and Balsamic Chili Brussel Sprouts. WOW! You could have stopped right there. What a delightful array of flavors, one just better than the next. For our entrées my wife and I both had Duck à l'orange that was spectacular. Cooked to perfection and very moist and the orange sauce was not overpowering. My son had a Dish Burger which is one of the best burgers in the area. I've had it several times. I finished my meal off with Sticky Toffee Pudding with Irish coffee. You have to try this desert. It is unlike anything I have tasted. Overall this was a outstanding culinary experience and we have come to expect nothing less from Dish. Bravo!

There were two large groups dining while we were there. This resulted in the restaurant being very noisy and the service being very slow. The staff was very accommodating but over whelmed by the attention that they had to pay to the large groups.

Was disappointed this time. Tried to make a reservation for 7.30. Told us they were too busy and had to come at 8. There was no one in the place when we got there at 7.30. Also, the waiter had to argue with the kitchen to get three skinny slices of bread for a table of 4. Food was ehhhh.
