All of our dining will be either 6.30 or 7.00pm starts, unfortunately we will not be able to offer any later tables.

Our Adult only fine dining restaurant has been awarded two rosettes by the AA for the quality of our food.

We aim to host the majority of our summer and early autumn dining, alfresco in our newly built under cover outside dining experience in the garden. IMPORTANT ! when booking during this period please note, dining maybe inside or outside and will be weather dependent and whilst we understand that some of you may book with us to experience the outside booths, on the night should the weather becomes extreme, we unfortunately may need to move the dining experience inside. .

Me and my wife had yet another fantastic and faultless meal at Sutherland House. We always try and dine here when we are in Southwold and have never left disappointed. The service is always great, food is always on point, atmosphere is always nice. We both shared the seafood platter, so much flavour, perfect in every way. As were the starters and desserts. If you are in or near Southwold, then do not miss out on dining here. Me and my wife can't wait until our next visit . . . . . .

We visited Sutherland House for an anniversary meal and had a very nice time. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent.

Highly recommend for the food, service and ambience. Warm welcome from Andy who gave service with a smile and was very engaged and keen to make sure we had a good evening Food was excellent both in presentation and taste. Lovely touch that the chef came out to talk to us at the end of service Great that the restaurant focusses on couples and does not take bookings for large groups

From the moment we arrived we felt very relaxed and special. The restaurant itself is intimate and calming. There are only 10 tables and just two sittings so no hustle and bustle around you. The hosts were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about their food and drink. The food itself was fabulous. Presented beautifully and a good mix of choices. The chef is happy to make small changes too. All in all a wonderful evening.
