Went to Marliave the past few years and it has been good. Recently went on March 13th for restaurant week for my sister’s birthday. The food is decent and the waiter was friendly. However it is UNACCEPTABLE for the waiter to help himself to additional tips without the patron’s knowledge. This is not about money but rather PRINCIPLE. YOU ARE STEALING FROM YOUR CUSTOMERS. Please make sure you check your receipts and make copies as to not get ripped off. The bill was $264 and I tipped 18% which is more than generous but the waiter altered the payment to reflect 20% tip. I will NEVER EVER go there again and will advise everyone that this restaurant STEALS MONEY. This is SHAMEFUL.

The food was excellent! We ordered the salmon, the steak, and the scallops. All were perfectly prepared and delicious. Appetizers and desserts also were wonderful. The chocolate cake was very chocolaty and rich - I'd go here just for the cake. I recommend it for a lovely dinner with friends.

Food was good but not much special. Overall I don't like the atmosphere as next tables are so close.

This was an impromptu date night with my fiance and we decided to take advantage of Restaurant Week in Boston. I've eaten lunch at Marliave before and I knew it would be a great experience. It's so romantic at night in the restaurant and it was really perfect. It was nice to have the discount but I'd still pay full price to eat there! It's well worth the money. Also it's a great date if you want to get fancy. The food is amazing, the wine and mixed drinks are the best part, and the service is exceptional. They really know what they are doing. This is probably my favorite fancy restaurant in Boston.

Never been here, tried it during restaurant week. My wife, my son and I all enjoyed our meals. The escargot was very good. I like duck ,but never had duck confit, it was very good. We had at great waiter. it was a bit loud , however I think it was just one table of eight that made it so noisy. Overall a nice restaurant with good food.

It was very loud and crowded. Food and service were good, though neither was as good as previous times we have gone.
