Chef Joseph Wrede is a Food & Wine Best New Chef, the winner of several AAA Four Diamond Awards, several DiRoNA Awards and has received both Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast distinctions. Joseph’s Culinary Pub is a creation of Chef Wrede and his creative and business partners. This is the third incarnation of Wrede’s original Joseph’s Table, conceived in Taos, New Mexico, not quite 20 years ago, for which he is well known and loved within the region and beyond. Joseph’s Culinary Pub is designed to be a platform for Chef Wrede’s unique and uncompromising vision on traditional and contemporary cuisine, both regional and international. Regarding the restaurant as a process much like theater, Wrede envisions the experience of dining in his restaurant as an interactive play between the pub and the public, with his sights aimed at rivaling high art.

Enjoyed our evening. I think the best taste I had was a bite of crispy chicken tamale with delicious tomatillo salsa. All of our plates were a work of art. I had steak au poivre with duck fat fries, delicious but I was a disappointed with the sauce. I prefer the traditional method with lots of course ground black pepper and a brandy cream sauce. This version is a delicious mushroom sauce and less pepper. I’m not complaining, I ate every bite! I just prefer the old way. The staff was wonderful and we will definitely return. The restaurant was packed with lots of happy customers.

A true hidden gem, Joseph's food, service and ambience are all among the best we've experienced. The veggie enchilada is absolutely delicious, and very filling; bring an appetite! The chicken liver mousse and the hamachi were perfect, generous appetizers, and the sous vide duck was perfection. If you don't get the Cloud Cake for dessert, you will regret it too...incredible and so light!!! We'll be coming back for dinner again and again, no question.

Joseph’s is, dollar for dollar, the best restaurant in Santa Fe. We had the pub burger with polenta fries as an appetizer: awesome, tasted great and topped with superior service. We’re foodies who eat out often; a few times a week. Considering the food, service, ambiance, and bill Joseph’s CulinaryPub is hands down the best restaurant in Santa Fe!!!

Great place to take visitors. Nice variety of menu items. Great service at just the right pace. The Polenta appetizer was superb and the Confit Pad Thai Style and the Christmas Style Chili Beef Tenderloin Stew were great entrees. The Cloud Cake dessert was a wonderful light way to end the meal.
