   We loved the restaurant! The cocktails were amazing, the view was beautiful and the food delicious! Also, we received excellent service from Maisha, our server! Highly recommend!!

   Overall it was a good experience and the food was good. The hostesses had a bit of attitude, but once our table was sorted out, things went well. Service was a bit slow but our server was nice. We had a nice private area in the back which was quiet and the pre ordered appetizers were yummy.

   Disappointing Experience We were seated promptly, but that’s where the good service ended. After nearly 10 minutes with no one acknowledging our table—while others around us were being helped—I had to flag down a server, Gavin, who wasn’t even assigned to us. Thankfully, Gavin stepped up and did his best, but the rest of the staff and overall service were a mess. Drinks took nearly 20 minutes to arrive, with Gavin pointing out delays at the bar. Refills were another long wait—over 20 minutes again. It wasn’t clear if they were understaffed or just poorly managed, but we saw multiple tables also sitting unattended for long stretches. Food took an unusually long time to come out as well. This was a business dinner with customers, so we tried to make the best of it, but it was frustrating and disappointing. While we appreciated Gavin’s effort, I seriously doubt I’d return to this location.

   Food quality was “meh.” Price for quality was awful. My husband got the steak and frites. There were three tiny slices of steak. So incredibly overpriced for what you get. I chose the blackened chicken which was tough and chewy but still better than my husband’s dish. Service was slow. Bathrooms were disgusting. We regret not choosing Fogo de Chao.

   Server was awesome. Very personable with great recommendations. Bar Drinks were a little slow but overall the food was Tasty and we enjoyed our evening . A-

   The service was attentive and excellent. The waiters were amazing. I had the salmon on a base of grains. The grains were ice cold and tasteless. The salmon was well cooked.

   Server was slow, brought me Salad dressing after it was over half eaten. After I saw her standing and talking with coworkers for several minutes. I showed her live bugs moving about in the windowsill right next to my food, she was not surprised or moved. Did nothing to correct the issue. I had to have my food wrapped to go, along with dessert. It seems it was not her first time being told of the bugs presence.

   The steaks were very well prepared and as tasty as all M&S restaurants are known to prepare. But that was the only highlight at this particular M&S. The wait staff is under-trained and the result makes you feel you are eating at a lower quality restaurant. Not only was our specific server unknowledgeable about the menu, but she failed to give us or her other tables attention. I noticed the same harried, overwhelmed behaviors of all the other wait staff serving other tables. It made for a very unpleasant experience and established an ambience that you would experience at a Friday's or Chilis. In contrast, I recently ate at a Ruth's Chris and III Forks where the wait staff was well-trained and helped each other when there were multiple tables. I never saw or heard from a floor manager or kitchen manager, chef, or general manager. For the prices that M&S charge, I would expect to train the staff properly...otherwise, I can't really call M&S at National Harbor a fine dining experience.

    Good food. Bad service. Not saying it was Jerry’s fault, but it took an hour to get our bar drinks. Our asparagus and clam chowder never came. We were finished eating for about 30 minutes before we could ask for the check.
