   We went to the restaurant for our reservation (a Saturday evening at 7:30pm...) and the restaurant was closed. No note, email etc. This was for a special occasion birthday dinner. There was a group of people outside who also had reservations waiting. The restaurant still has not been in contact.

   This is the second time I Ha e been asked to write a review for Kingsley. 7 PM reservations on Saturday, September 22. Arrived after an $18 cab ride dropped off in front of the restaurant to find it pitchdark locked up nobody there. Another party of three arrived at the same time as my party they were celebrating her 60th birthday party only to find the restaurant closed - not even a hand written sign on the door… never heard of such a thing I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. I wish I had looked at the reviews before I made the reservations this same issue happened in August.

   I don't usually write reviews, but this restaurant was terrific. I'm a vegetarian and my wife is not, but each of us had a ton of choices (unusual for me, usual for her). Everything we ate was creative and tasty, and the service was warm and attentive. The ingredients were seasonal but not fussily so (not pretentious). We will be back for the tasting menu this fall, definitely.

   We arrived to find the restaurant closed. I made this reservation, received confirmation from open table, AND received a confirmation email from Kingsley’s (to which I responded, as requested with an affirmation). If this is the quality of service Kingsley and Opentable consider normal for a Michelin rated restaurant.... COME ON—Clearly not worth the hype if they can’t manage to attend to guests from RESERVATION TO DESSERT! Pathetic.

   Lovely large space in the East Village. Food a bit hit-or-miss. Menu organization a bit confusing because the progression of items does not mean larger ‘main’ courses, as it does on most menus. Wait staff the usual 20 somethings.

   Great variety of small plates. Tartare was fantastic. Also the poached duck egg.

   Overpriced pretentious over complicated menu! The only good thing about this restaurant are the cocktails which are also over priced!

    Very nice place but like so many NYC restaurants very loud. We were there for Restaurant Week dinner and everything that was served was excellent. The BBQ Chicken had a unique and very good stuffing and the "wild" striped bass (I didn't know this fish came any other way) was on a very delicious corn relish concoction that definitely increased the pleasure of the dish. As usual with Rest. Week restaurants the desserts were exceptionally good.
