Toulouse never fails. From the first friendly greeting to the tables “with a view” of all the KATY Trail and Uptowners passing by....the great wait staff and consistently delicious food, Toulouse has become one of our favorite “go-to” places in Dallas, no matter if it’s for a great, spontaneous week night meal with friends or a special occasion.
Very comfortable neighborhood restaurant with an interesting, well executed menu. Moderately priced.
The food was just underwhelming. For the price point I wouldn’t recommend. The tuna tartar was just ok and so was the trout almondine. They both lacked seasoning but the crispy brussels were delicious.
One of our favorite spots! Always great food and service!
When you're ready to "re-visit" that Parisean cafe from your last trip abroad... Toulouse Café and Bar can take you there! As a muscle-dish connoisseur, the Provençale Mussels is a must, with a side of pommes frites to compliment (really, for soaking/sopping up the remaining tomato sauce once all the mussels have been devoured ;-P As far as the service... c'est la tablette du haut! Ezekial was our table server & very attentive & Juliano delivered the charm of someone who "knows"... thank you!
The "spirit" of fin de siècle certainly embodies Toulouse on Knox!
Perfect spot for a cold, rainy day. A little touch of Paris in Dallas. The quiche was superb.
The restaurant was excellent in every way -- as always. But I don't understand why I could not receive dining points for making the reservation through Open Table; can you explain, please?
Excellent food and service. Despite the restaurant being less than half full the noise level is quite high and makes it hard to just even hear your date...
One of my favorite places! The atmosphere is always charming, and the staff so helpful. My friend and I both had Lobster Thermidor, which was fabulous. The house salad is wonderful too, with a lovely light vinaigrette dressing.
Everything was perfect! The waitstaff very attentive. The food was outstanding. We were not rushed. We all loved this restaurant and will return very soon
we were here for dinner. it has a wonderful menu and indeed it is great food. it has a lively atmosphere and a very good wine list also - local type of place casual and well worth going here. I definitively will go back when I am in Dallas next time
Best service I have had in recent memory. Our waiter was perfection...helpful but unobstrusive,
anticipating our every need in a very quiet, respectful way.
The food was delicious and I was most impressed with all aspects of this restaurant.
We had great service and delicious, fresh food. Love their menu selections. We sat at a table along the sidewalk which is our usual favorite place but it was misting rain that night and they did not enclose this area for some reason. Although we weren’t rained on, the moisture in the air made the tile floors extremely slick and the humidity was overwhelming.
In spite of that we loved our meal.
I frankly was disappointed by the service and have suggestions for menu: this was a business meal.
The waiter did not serve the correct wine to my guest, who is a clent, this is absolutly unacceptable. Please take according action and trainings as this was just embarrassing.
The ceviche was good but did not have enough lemon.
The fish, bass with truffles was very good and well cooked.
My husband and I enjoy Toulouse every time we go. When I turned 65 my family flew in from New York and we celebrated the occasion there. Had a wonderful time and the staff doesn’t push you a very fun experience. Very relaxing!
Ruben took great care of us and made my wife’s birthday feel special. Total recommend!
Always one of my go-to restaurants when I want a good meal and not too much fuss. They serve a very cold martini. Servers are friendly but not intrusive, not rushing you through the meal to turn the table. Love sitting on the patio. Every salad is delicious and I have to pair it with pomme frites for balance! No dinner is complete without the beignets - wonderful. Highly recommend!
Parking was a nightmare. The "valet" parking was across the street. We had to jay-walk in the middle of the block, through TRAFFIC, in the RAIN. Parker parked our car 10 feet from where we drove in. In other words, the valet added no value whatsoever. The food and service were OK, but the parking put a damper on the whole experience.
Toulouse has the best food & Service! We especially love the Fresh Dover Sole & Soufflé dessert. EXCELLENT service for Birthday Celebration!
The food was great and presentation was very nice. The quiche came with a nice salad and tasted yummy.
We arrived at 12:30 and the front of the restaurant was so noisy we couldn’t hear each other speaking. Waitstaff graciously moved us toward the back, which was noticeably quieter. Loved the salad Nicoise and I had a great Apremont wine with it. The new chocolate tart dessert was big enough and rich enough for a table of four to share; plus it was fabulous. They serve lattes here in the typical French fashion of a glass cup with a handle instead of a cup or a mug. I had forgotten this or would have asked them to warm the glass first as the late was lukewarm when it arrived.
My main recommendation: go towards 1pm if anyone in the party is hard of hearing.
I was disappointed that I didn’t receive open table points as that is why I went through open table.
Toulouse is hit and miss. I’ve had great meals and not so great. The atmosphere is always nice and it’s convenient; cozy and cool. Steak frites should be a no brainer, but at Toulouse you can’t count on either. My steak was just ok, cooked medium rare for medium and not really that special. The fries were skimpy and just ok. The Bernaise sauce was good. Service good, wine good, dessert (mousse) good not great.
Great! Perfect uncomplicated lunch with great food and unpretentious service!
Lovely French dinner. Enjoyed the duck and cocktails. Will be coming back in the future for more French cuisine.
Great food and service. Love the attention of all and nice wine selection.
Always enjoy the food and DRINKS! Waiters are great and if you want to relax they don’t push you to hurry!
Wonderful is the only word I can use. Food and service are always top notch.
Poor Server. The place is going downhill. I have been coming here for years.
Lovely meal. Petite Gougere = to die for.
Dining with a friend. Food was delicious. I had the short ribs. Very tasty but could have been warmer. Some pieces were room temperature to slightly warm. Nice wine selection. Service was attentive. Would have appreciated offering to split the bill instead of just leaving one bill. Main dining room was noisy. Lots of wood and high ceilings carry the noise. Outside, even with no AC, would probably have been a better choice, although lots of tables packed into to the small front patio.
The maître D was fantastic !!! Our waitress was fabulous and she really catered to our every need!
The food was exquisite
Always dependable, always delicious. Attentive service. No negatives except one stall women’s bathroom.
We had the best meal ever! Dover Sole and Pomme Frites, House Salad with Herb Vinaigrette, Grand Mariner Soufflé ! ALL EXCELLENT and our server Jackie was most thoughtful! Memorable experience!
I never had a bad dining experience at Toulouse. The food is outstanding. I am a big fan if their Salas
Beautiful evening to dine on the patio.
Was a wonderful setting, food was deliscious, was quiet and the wait staff was very attentive! Was a great experience.
Wonderful food and gracious service. Only complaint: much too noisy environment--difficult to have a conversation.
