Thursday to Saturday: 5pm - 11pm
Food was quite good and overall I'd go back. Shared fried chicken with 6 people as an appetizer. Was very crispy (big portion!) and comes with a creative ceasar salad that had this unreal soft cheese, but not sauce for the chicken. You can ask for sauce though, so do that if you get it. Pizza is neopolitan style, and very good if you like neopolitan pizza. I thought it was strange to not have a margherita pizza on the menu. Ravioli with bolognese was excellent. I would get it again, probably over the pizza. Our group got cocktails and everyone liked theirs. Asked for one not on the menu and that wasn't an issue. Solid drinks.
Service wasn't a strong point. Felt forgotten a few times. They messed up my friends order on both his side and main and he still had to pay full price for both, despite having to wait to eat. Poor form for a nicer restaurant. Something should have been compd without having to ask - free dessert, free side, 20% off his meal??
I would go back once and if the service still wasn't great then maybe consider going elsewhere.
Went for my birthday - super fun! The cocktails were great and I loved the appetizers and pizza.
Piano Piano is one difficult reservation to come by! Came here for my girlfriend's birthday on Tuesday night. We ordered the following dishes (rated by taste):
- Chopped Salad - 7/10 - Good but not the greatest salad. The brussel sprouts and feta made the salad
- Mushroom Cavatelli - 10/10 - Fantastic pasta! Super fresh and delicious
- Egg Yolk Raviolo - 9/10 - A very unique pasta but fantastic combination of flavors and very well presented
- Canestru alla Vodka - 7/10 - Good pasta. Not the best one on their menu
- Ravioli con Bolognese - 9/10 - Staple but very well-done!
The ambiance and decor is beautiful and the restaurant is spacious. Overall, highly recommended!
Food was excellent. Service was good - the waiter was great but he kept forgetting our orders. Not a biggie, he did take off a couple of drinks from the tab to make up for it.
Fantastic food! Truly top notch pasta. The wait for our meals was overly long, but the server made it up to us with some complimentary drinks.
We had a great time at Piano Piano. Everything was great- the food, service and atmosphere. We will definitely be back.
Food was top notch, service was great but just very slow, they were very busy!
Nothing special. Food you’d expect at any Canadian restaurant
The food was amazing. The service was amazing. We asked the waiter so many questions about the menu and just kept asking because he was so knowledgeable and patient. The manager checked on us and, as we’re visiting, Toronto gave us lots of recommendations for places to go and see. Wholeheartedly recommend
Piano Piano is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant where people obviously go to celebrate special occasions, as we saw at least four tables where large sparklers were brought out to celebrate a birthday. The menu is varied and good for all tastes. The calamari appetizer and chopped salad were both outstanding (and very large, easily sharable portions). The large sea scallop main was perfectly cooked, as was the veal medallions dish. Again, both large portions with nice accompaniments. Excellent, nicely paced service. Energetic ambience with a very nice mix of people of all ages. Clearly a favorite for locals. We definitely will return on our next visit to Toronto.
Amazing food and lively ambience with a very cute aesthetic 10/10 spot
As always when dining at Piano Piano the service is superb. The tables are well spaced and the ambiance lovely. But, it’s the food that is swoon worthy. I would recommend but truly anything and everything on this menu is delicious. Please follow @joannasable on instagram for more food fun.
My friend really liked the food so it was off to good start. I eat out more than he does. I found the food very good- salad excellent; pizza was ok but not great. Overall a good time.
I go here anytime I want to enjoy amazing Italian food, service, and atmosphere. It’s a great place for intimate dinners, celebrations, and dates. One of my favourite restaurants in Toronto
Our meal was outstanding, we will be back!
Seemed more like childcare than dining, with wide aisles and special features for toddlers. Our child’s food came fast but adults food came slowly. Novel adult menu items were not very good: chop salad was mostly hard to chew kale, pumpkin pasta was oily and too sweet.
Based on outstanding reviews and recommendations from friends we were excited to eat here on Sunday. What a disappointment!
Our service was terrible - at every stage of the meal I had to flag our waiter down.
Portions were small, and only ho hum.
Truly sad as I had been so looking forward to visiting for so long.
We absolutely loved the place! Would go back any time. Maybe next time even bring the kids.
Came back once more and enjoyed the pizza and pasta. Ordered the lunch special, with Calamari as the app, canestri alla vodka, and double espresso at the end. My partner ordered the Sweet Hornet Pizza. The only downside to the great meal was the incredible wait time between appetizer and main, which caused my partner and I to feel Anxious while servers went by and skipped our table. Hopefully that can be arranged better for quicker service the moment the order is placed. Otherwise, would definitely enjoy their food again!
A bit pricy for the portion (wine included) but overall delicious and great atmosphere
Piano Piano is a hidden gem! High quality food and a good value lunch special. The portions are quite big, even the smaller size pastas. The rosy colours throughout, flowery wallpaper, dainty table settings, and comfy seating makes this place a perfect spot for a romantic, intimate date or a nice dinner night with the girls. Pretty quiet during lunch time but this is a very popular dinner place that needs to be booked in advance. I would definitely reccomend!
The ambiance of the location was fantastic. The greeter ( Louise) was very accommodating and our server Victoria was excellent.
Our meal was very tasty but the main course was not as hot as one would expect.
Loved the decor, ambiance and food but service let the side down. Took two hours to get main course from when we were seated. Plus an extremely long time to pay bills.
Two friends felt unwell after they had eaten which concerned me a little. Could have been the rich food?
Went there for my boyfriend birthday dinner. The server was extremely friendly and welcoming ! Checked in on us at the perfect time and made great recommendations for food.
They even had a big sparkler for the bday dessert. !
The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and cool decor. Very open big space.
We were served by Leah when we went to Piano Piano for my sisters birthday. She gave great recommendations and friendly service. Food was super yummy and tasty wine to boot! Leah brought dessert out with a fun sparkler. Overall a great experience!
Three of our party of six drove in from Grey Bruce for the experience. Fantastic, delicious plates, attentive, friendly service, beautiful and lively spot. We were all dead pleased with Piano Piano...and the family dinner option left us stuffed to the gills! Special shout out to Layla, our delightful server, and all the kind staff who attented to us.
Incredible pasta and pizza. Continue to come back time and time again, always great service, good wine and overall excellent experience. Will be back.
They changed their burrata:( the burrata with the pesto and the tomatoes used to be one of my favourite things on the menu.
mixed up the course order which also meant forgetting the wine for that course, but they were more than apologetic and made up for it which was nice. unfortunately the tiramisu comes in a cup and feels more like mousse than tiramisu. overall our experience and food was awesome at piano piano. we’ll definitely be back. they treated us so nicely knowing it was our anniversary.
A friend raved about this restaurant so I had to try it. My boyfriend and I went out for his birthday dinner and we had the best meal. Pizza, pasta, dessert, cocktails, and wine on point! Decor and ambiance didn't hurt either!
The food and decor was excellent . Great cokctails and the server was attentive
Great venue and nice spot for drinks. Food was average at best though.
Ordered 6 dishes and liked 1 at best. Scallops were tiny and the dish was overdressed with cabbage and other random greens. Couldn’t even see the scallops because there was so much greens.
Burrata cheese wasn’t that creamy. Again, plate was overdone with random pickled veggies. Meh at best.
Mushroom salad. What the eff was that. Biggest rip off of a dish of life.
Had 2 pasta dishes. Both were very flavourless.
Lemon cake dessert had an upside down 5cent cone in the middle. Super ugly playing and too lemony flavour.
Wouldn’t recommend to any real foodie. Good for drinks though.
Really enjoyed our evening other than it is very noisy. The wait staff was fabulous
Unique and delicious twist on classic Italian dishes.
Food was amazing, the platter is to die for. Disappointed with some of the service. We had multiple servers, most of which were really great, but we had one male server who was quite rude and came off as a bit judgmental.
First time there and it didn’t disappoint and they were ready for our family of four and didn’t make us feel like aliens when ordering for our 4-year old. Food memorable and beautiful decor.
Piano Piano never disappoints! We have had dinner here many, many times and have referred many friends. Food and service is top notch. We tried the Family Style dinner for the first time and were pleasantly surprised!! Amazing!!!!!
Fantastic meal! Server was phenomenal as well! I never got her name, but the young lady at the bar was great!
So surprising to find an upscale casual restaurant in Toronto where the tables aren't jammed together; where the noise is not so loud you cannot hear each other or the servers and, because he was there on his day off, Chef takes your order!
Make no mistake, there is ambience: there is music, just not loud and not in your face (er, ears) and the place is so darn pretty. Piano, Piano delivers only good and delicious things. We will return.
Food very good but husband found meatballs to be too spicy! Pasta with truffles delicious as were the veal medallions! Amazing brussel sprouts and cauliflower!
