I booked this place on Open Table and we show up to find it closed. Closed for business or for the night, we have no clue. Not sure how I was able to book it and if it is a restaurant or an Open Table problem.
Anniversary dinner. Booked an early time due to babysit constraints. Easy in and out, good food.

We had a very good meal at BirraCibo. Our waitress Maggie was very attentive and friendly.
The service was very slow, but overall the food was quite tasty.
We were seated quickly and had a waitstaff team of 2 serving us within a minute on a busy Friday night. Very friendly and engaging servers that were helpful with beer selections and suggestions on the menu. Some great local beer! Had 2 different pasta dishes that we both enjoyed. Shared a dessert that was amazing. The servers and food were awesome! Greatly exceeded our expectations!
Food was good but they were not properly staffed to take care of the patrons.
The manager John was able to accommodate my increase of people for my group reservation. Food and service was good. Would definitely recommend.
Our food was good, but service was very slow. We had after dinner plans and thought we had allowed plenty of time, but were rushed.
Food was amazing! Only complaint we had was the server seemed a bit overwhelmed, as if it was his first day on his own serving. The food took a while to receive (which I'm not sure if it was the kitchens fault or our servers-if he had put the order in right away or not), and he walked by at least 2 times to say he was going to get us refills on our drinks before he actually did. I would definitely try it again!
When I made a reservation at BirraCibo, I was given the option to make a special request that the staff would "do their best to try to accommodate". Upon arriving, it became obvious that no accommodation was made. My husband and I were celebrating an anniversary & our birthdays & I had asked for a romantic, quiet table for 2. Perhaps, I should not have specified because their tables for 2 are awful; high tables set with the most uncomfortable seats ever. They're too tall for the tall tables so you have to slump over in order to eat! And while the restaurant fairly busy & noisy, there were quieter, places we could have been seated. But, we were given a corner table right next to a party room that had 24 people in it (we counted)! Half of them were screaming (and I do mean SCREAMING) young girls there for a birthday party. The Arancini appetizer was excellent. It had an amazing texture & taste & the sauce drizzled on the serving plate, was delightful. My husband said his burger was decent & I tasted his fries. They were lovely; crispy & seasoned with fresh garlic & rosemary, which was a real nice touch! My Chicken Parm, itself, was excellent. It was hot & crispy, the chicken was well-cooked, the cheese was delicate, & the sauce was delightful! However, the Fettuccine Alfredo that it was served with it had obviously been sitting for a very long time and had completely died at the pass! It was dry, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. Once strirred back in to the noodles, the Alfredo was tasteless and greasy, so it made what could have been an excellent Chicken Parm just mediocre. All in all, it was a sub par experience. For me, atmosphere can really make or break a dining experience. I can even overlook small things happening with the food if the service and ambience are amazing. But, the horribly uncomfortable seating, combined with the absolutely hellish behavior of the mob of children sitting next to us, ruined what should have been our romantic celebration.
Awesome pizza and wine
Our service was so-so but the waitress was really sweet and we liked her. The manager came to the table and said that they would take care of a drink for my husband since we were out for his bday but they still charged us for it on our bill. The pizza crust wasn't quite done on one of the pizzas we got. And a friend ordered the chicken and apple salad and it only had a very little piece of chicken on it. We had lots of plates and such on the table and they weren't very good at taking the dishes away to give us room on the table - which was annoying. We really like the atmosphere so we will give it one more try.
We were not properly greeted upon arrival as three staff members were horsing around with each other. I ignored this until the restaurant complained to Open Table that we did not honor our reservation. Their own lack of professionalism led to this annoyance to me. The food was moderately priced but at that a poor value. The sirloin I ordered was as tough as a boot and the asparagus tasted like shoe laces. The person with me liked his chicken parma and caesar salad. I thought the salad was over-dressed.
Food was pretty good, though it was tough to eat the cookie ice cream sandwich as the cookie was very hard.
Service was excellent though.
This place was better than expected. The pizzas were good, not great. Prices were reasonable. Beer selection was alright. Nothing blew me away but was a solid restaurant around 4th st. The building was furnished nicely and very clean.
Food was good and the waitress did her job (and was friendly). Like other reviews I read, we too had to wait a while for our food (probably 25-30 minutes).
Food was delicious but service was disappointing. Saturday night with an empty restaurant. Our server was polite but not attentive. My friend waited while we finished our appetizer before her drink and water ever arrived. When our appetizer arrived server said he would bring some plates - they never came. You get the picture, this was the theme for the remainder of the meal.

Pizza was soggy
The service was the worst part about this venue. The food was standard (ordered Pizza and Spaghetti and Meatballs); nothing special. We drove down for a concert from Cincinnati (we are not locals).
The hostess neglected to save a table for us, so we had the option of sitting at an awkward high-top (right off the entrance) or the bar. She assured us that the bartender would be right over but it took him 15 minutes to get to us. When he did I asked for two beer samples, to which he responded "Well, I don't want to be that kind of guy... but if you want samples that is going to take some time because I have other orders to do first." I was stunned.... why ask me what I wanted if you aren't ready?
He then forgot to enter our appetizer. We sat for 30 minutes before we got any food; the appetizer came out five minutes before our entrees. We asked for a second round of drinks three times before he remembered to bring them.
It was just a really poor experience because of the service. Definitely will not be back, nor would I recommend anyone to go there.
We had read previous mixed reviews, but still gave it a try. Unfortunately, we observed mixed results. It seemed that they were not certain how to assign tables to the servers (we saw only two in our area). Our order was taken, but we waited too long to be served the food. Apparently, our food waited to long to be given to us. It was not fresh and was already getting cold. At that point, we were very hungry and needed to move along to go to a concert. We accepted the food.
It appeared that our server could tell it was not going well, looking over at our table and realizing that we had no food. She stayed away from us. Finally, the manager was the one who brought us our food. She did finally come by after the fact, and we simply told her that everything was "just fine." She made an offer to make it better than "fine", but what could she do?
We had noticed the tables around us waiting for their food as well. While we don't know the circumstances, there were a couple of tables where the food was hardly eaten. A nearby table left practically all of their food. It is my impression that they had a pressing time schedule and could not really stay.
Like I said, I would like this restaurant to be a good place to go for some good food. Maybe it will turn out OK for you.
I sincerely hope that you do not ruin your New Years Eve by making a reservation at this place. It may have the distinguished honor of being the worst restaurant I have ever attended in my life. First of all, don't expect to order spaghetti or meatballs because by 6 pm they had already run out even though they advertise being an Italian restaurant. Second, it should give you pause when, as you sit and wait for your dinner for over an hour, you see the manager walk by you on the sidewalk, carrying two cartons of frozen tomato sauce, and then when he brings you food finally and claims that it took so long because they had to make "fresh" tomato sauce that you are the first to taste. Third, you know the food is bland when the table behind you is dumping as much salt and pepper into their bowl of pasta as possible and then one of the people takes the lid of the Parmesan cheese to dump it in to the bowl to add some pinch of flavor. Fourth, over the course of my dinner, my waiter argued with my table and me at least twice, and I watched another waiter flip off a customer for refusing to pay a check that the manager had promised to comp (due to a bad experience I would assume). I almost wanted to put up a "WARNING: DO NOT EAT HERE" sign on my table so none of the pedestrians walking by would fall trap to this place. You could tell from the pained expressions of the people in the tables around me that the feeling was mutual. Frankly, I am offended that anyone has to pay to suffer in this place. This restaurant has clearly turned off any way to post an official review, perhaps in effort to preserve their "tourist attraction" image, so I am doing my best to warn you before you fall into the same trap.
We came here on a Saturday night during prime time so it was very busy. It seemed the wait staff was overrun, and therefore service was very slow. The table next to us had to wait over an hour for their pizza to come out and ended up getting their meal comped. I’m not sure if it’s because they’re low on wait staff or their kitchen got backed up, but it was very slow. The food was great though! Our waiter was very friendly and was clearly doing his best given the circumstances. Interested to see if I went back at a different time if the service would be quicker. Overall a good restaurant.
We were there to dine the night before the Ironman Louisville Triathlon. The restaurant had a problem with our reservation and did not seem prepared for the number of people who would be dining at their restaurant that night. Our drinks were served in foam cups, service was incredibly slow, and I ordered spaghetti with meatballs that came with no meatballs. I asked if I could have some chicken instead, and was told they would work on it but the chicken never came. Normally, I am pretty forgiving of restaurant issues, but on a night when it was important for me to have a specific meal with carbs and protein, I was quite unhappy. The manager apologized and comped my meal, but I would never eat here again.
They were not prepared for the occasion, waiting over an 1:30 for food. Everyone there had reservations
I doubt they will survive much longer. A total disaster.

Very slow service from the waitress, bar drinks and food. Pizza was not good and took over an hour to come out. We out of the three first beers we ordered although they claim to have "Artsian Pizza and Craft Beers". I would not recommend.

We are here during a concert on 4th street live so restaurant was very busy and loud. The food was excellent. Service was lacking, but probably has to do with concert.
It was a great experience. We went late at night, but the waitress was very nice. They made one of our pizzas wrong, so we had to wait to get eat. I must say it is as definitely worth the wait. I will go back when I'm in the area.
We sat outside on the patio for a concert on 4th St Live. It was very busy, but our server was AWESOME. We had to spend a certain amount to sit on the patio because of the concert. Only thing that was a little annoying was they allowed other people that weren't eating or drinking there to come onto the patio to stand and watch the concert. I would recommend they wrist band the people who are paying to eat and drink there to monitor the crowed expanding onto the patio. However, we never were waiting for drinks or food. Service was very quick. We couldn't see the show that well, but having a place to sit and not having to fight the crowd to get a beer was well worth it. We would definitely come back again for a casual dinner or to see another show.
This was our second visit to Birracibo. We had a party of 12 so I was a concerned about getting our orders right and out in time for us to make it to Mamma Mia. Our server was also working the bar but I have to say he did a great job. We probably wore him out. Cocktail and beer menus were brought out quickly. I asked for a bourbon list and he found one. But, it had a few on the list not seen behind the bar and a few seen behind the bar, not on the list. They have a fairly large selection but hey, this is bourbon country so an up to date list should be a prerogative in Louisville.
I ordered a pour of Calumet Farms bourbon on the rocks. It was not until I got our bill that I found that I was charged $2.00 for the "rocks". That wasn't really worth contesting the entire bill but . . . come on, $2.00 for some ice. Next time I guess I'll order it neat and just use the ice from my water. Or maybe they should just not charge for ice. I didn't notice if the Cokes were cheaper if they didn't have ice. But enough of my carping about the charge . . . on to the food.
We had a number of the appetizers to share around the table and all were acceptable. I really enjoyed the fried rice balls. The marinara sauce that came with the cheesy bread was not hot. I don't know whether this is they way they serve it (most restaurants serve it hot) but if it was supposed to be hot, it wasn't. Again, not a big deal but . . .
We had one person in our party who had special dietary requirements. I contacted the restaurant before and they were very receptive and made sure that persons needs were met. I had the linguine, my wife had a salad and others had artisanal pizzas. I didn't hear any complaints from anyone. We were also able to make our curtain time at the theater.
It was a hot day and the A/C had trouble keeping us cool. But, would definitely go there again. Update your bourbon list, heat up your marinara sauce and don't charge for ice and you've got it right.
The pizza was the best option on the menu. Went with friends, every one that had something other than pizza was not happy with their dinner. The pizza was very good. Apps were good as well. Their drinks were also in very small glasses, for the price.
Horrible experience. Screwed up our drinks. Sent at least 5 different servers to our table and we were the only table in the house. We had to demand our table be bussed. It was ridiculously bad.
